  1. The article claimed that Trump failed to do anything from the time anyone knew about this virus on Dec 31st, until the beginning of March, yet, literally offered no evidence, whatsoever, that provides anything close to a compelling argument that Trump, should have taken any other steps than he did before the end of February. If the article is going to claim he failed to act during that time frame, then provide some evidence as to why he should have. They provided nothing. Not one bit of evidence. They discussed other things that I might even agree with; however, as to the point of delay: Nothing. Now, please provide us with the evidence that shows Trump should have known, before the end of February, how serious this virus was going to be outside of China. Don't quote us another article with no actual facts. Tell us in your own words and cite the evidence that leads you to that conclusion. If you want to have a real discussion, now is your chance.
  2. What I put in the timeline was accutrate information. I asked you to answer a simple question in your own words. You couldn't do it. I don't want to read articles I have already read. I want you to tell us at which point in January and February (your timeframe) should the administration and other leaders around the world have reasonably known the magnitude of what was coming worlwide - and why? I.N. Y.O.U.R. O.W.N. W.O.R.D.S. Coward
  3. Just trying to make an actual attempt at getting one of them to engage in honest dialogue, and know they won't take the time to go back to read it.
  4. @transplantbillsfan I gave you a timeline and posed two questions....
  5. I Already did. Numerous times in this thread. This is starting to feel like Groundhog Day; however, I will pose to you the questions I posed to others like you. Below is a timeline. 1. At which point in January and February (most of that 70 day timeframe) should the administration and other leaders around the world have reasonably known the magnitude of what was coming worlwide? 2. What specific information are you basing your answer on? If you want to have an honest dialogue, then, please, answer the questions in your own words and be specific. TIMELINE - On December 31, China alerted the WHO to several cases of unusual pneumonia in Wuhan- On January 7, the WHO reported that China had identified a new virus, named 2019-nCoV, and that it was identified as belonging to the coronavirus family, which includes SARS and the common cold.- On Jan 11, China announced its first death from the virus released the genetic sequence. However, it was also accompanied with the information that they had only experienced 41 cases and that there was no obvious evidence of human-to-human spread yet. - By Jan 17, China had reported only 2 deaths and only two cases had been identified outside of China- On Jan 20, First US case is reported- On Jan 20, Trump forms coronavirus task force- On January 23, The WHO reported that the outbreak did not yet constitute a public emergency of international concern and there was "no evidence" of the virus spreading between humans outside of China.- On January 30, the WHO declared the virus a global emergency and reported the death toll in China at 170, with 7,711 cases.- On Jan 31, President Trump bans foreign nationals from entering the US if they were in China within the prior two weeks.- By Feb 3, new cases had been confirmed in at least 7 countries, including the US; however, there had been only 1 death reported outside of China. That was in the Phillipines and it was a man from Wuhan.- By Feb 6, only 30 people in Europe had been identified with the virus and all had ties to China. This is also the date of the first identified human to human transmission of the virus in Malasia.- On Feb 12, cases start to spike in South Korea- Through the end of Feb, there had been 88,000 confirmed cases - but only 8000 confirmed cases outside of China. There were 2977 deaths - but only 142 outside of China- Between Mar 1 - Mar 10 approx 35,000 new cases identified outside of China, and 1,319 deaths world-wide outside of China- On Mar 11, the WHO officiallly declares a pandemic- On Mar 11, President Trump bans all travel from 26 European countries for non-US citizens and non-green card holders- By Mar 11, There were 32,000 confirmed cases and 1,400 deaths, world-wide, outside of China and South Korea - with both China and Korea reporting stabilazation of the virus.- On Mar 13, Trump declares a US national emergency with 2,183 confirmed cases and 48 deaths

  7. Only people like you would applaud China and vilify Trump. That says all anyone here needs to know about you.
  8. Not at all. I have no doubt they did. Let me rephrase. Let's, for the sake of argument, say that the Democrats were not briefed in any way about the coronavirus, and had somehow had missed seeing, reading, and hearing about it in any way. When Trump formed the Task Force on 20 Jan and banned foreign nationals from entering the US if they were in China within the prior two weeks on Jan 31. Do you think the Democrats, who scrutinize everything he does, ad nauseum, weren't in the least curious what he was up to? Wouldn't have demanded a briefing? Wouldn't have set up their own committe to look into it? And if he wasn't responding how they think he should have at that moment, do you honestly think they wouldn't have taken the opportunity to let everyone know? So, now answer the questions that you failed to address at all in your response
  9. So, riddle me this, genius.Trump formed the Task Force on 20 Jan and banned foreign nationals from entering the US if they were in China within the prior two weeks on Jan 31. Do you think the Democrats, who scrutinize everything he does, ad nauseum, weren't in the least curious what he was up to? And if he wasn't responding how they think he should have at that moment, do you honestly think they wouldn't have taken the opportunity to let everyone know?
  10. She sure as hell did. The Democrats are in charge of the House Intelligence Committee. Don’t tell me Schiff and Pelosi didn’t get essentially the same information that Trump did. If you don’t believe that, then you don’t want to believe that. You didn’t hear the word “coronavirus” from a single Democrat, In regard to anything anyone should be concerned about until a month or so after Trump formed his task force - The end of February into March. They had the power to call anyone they wanted to testify before them about how serious this was and what they should do. Instead, they chose to spend that time pushing an impeachment. Trump never said the coronavirus was a hoax. You know that. Your hatred and rage doesn’t allow you to separate your emotions from reason. Trying to engage in any kind of honest dialogue with you is pointless.
  11. Byron Pitts, co-anchor ABC’s “Nightline,” interviewed Vice President Mike Pence on Friday night. Pitts asked Pence: "Mr. Vice President, I have a final question for you. And I ask this not in a political way. But for you sir, like so many of us in our nation, you are a person of deep faith. No one doubts that. When you talk to God in your moments alone, do you find yourself worrying at all that people you represent, and care deeply about, have died and will die who did not need to because of steps the federal government did not take soon enough?" He replied, “Thank you for mentioning that we are talking about one American at a time. We wanted the American people to see the numbers so that we understand the challenging days that lie ahead. But I want people to know that our future is in your hands, that if every one of us will do and put into practice the Guidelines for America, that we can bring those numbers down.” Pence has much more class than I do, as my immediate response to Pitts would have been something along the lines of:
  12. I took out the cases and deaths per capita and just went with cases and deaths per million. I believe the breakdown for New York and New Jersey vs. the rest of the United States is correct. New York / New Jersey comprise 8% of the total US population. They have accounted for 47% of cases and 51% of deaths I also added in the approx number of tests conducted, to date, for each country. Again, remember, we are about 9-14 days behind the other countries. 13. Just a look at where we stand today in comparison to European countries roughly equaling the US population and, geographically, closely connected. 14. It's not because we love him so much. It is because we are intellegent, rational people who understand how to separate personal feelings about someone from the job they actually do.I don't hate Democrats. I think the party is currently being driven by a far left faction whose policies are not good for this country, particularly from an economic perspective. I would give Trump somewhere around a 7.5. I think he has tried to do what is right based on a reasonable interpretation of the evidence and advice given to him by experts. There are certainly things he could have done better; however, my caveat to that is I don't think anyone else would have done much differently. You need to separate yourself from your emotions and evaluate the facts from a reasonable, objective standard
  15. You know, the interesting thing about repressed sexual urges, is that they always find a way to manifest themselves. The fact that yours are manifesting through projection of them onto others is probably a good thing, speaking strictly from a psychological perspective, as it lessens the likelihood of you attacking unsuspecting strangers and acting them out.
  16. As far as the supply of PPE, I am with you. I wish we had a larger supply at both state and federal levels. However, there is plenty of blame to go around for that and it is pointless, for me, to go down that road. My stance on all of this (not directed at you) is that panic and blame do nothing but make a crisis worse. If people want to blame Trump, then, to be intellectually honest, they have to blame everyone on both sides - and every government around the world. We all wish everyone was better prepared and we can ask all the questions we want once we get through this and prepare better for the next one. But I think people (on both sides, and at all levels) did what they thought was best based on a reasonable evaluation of the evidence.
  17. Yep. BTW, I edited the post you quoted to add the timeline I referenced. I'll put it here so you don't have to go back: - On December 31, China alerted the WHO to several cases of unusual pneumonia in Wuhan- On January 7, the WHO reported that China had identified a new virus, named 2019-nCoV, and that it was identified as belonging to the coronavirus family, which includes SARS and the common cold.- On Jan 11, China announced its first death from the virus released the genetic sequence. 18. I have posted an accurate timeline since the December 31, 2019, statement from the WHO of some "unusual pneumonia" case in China into March of 2020. I have posted it at least 5 times in this thread and challenged a number of posters to demonstrate at which point in January or February should Trump or any leader in the world, outside of China, understood the magnitude of what was about to happen - and why. Not one single poster answered Here is the timeline: Timeline - On December 31, China alerted the WHO to several cases of unusual pneumonia in Wuhan - On January 7, the WHO reported that China had identified a new virus, named 2019-nCoV, and that it was identified as belonging to the coronavirus family, which includes SARS and the common cold. - On Jan 11, China announced its first death from the virus released the genetic sequence. 19. Yep. Same for me. First presidential election I did not vote in. Had little respect for either canditate from a personal perspective. For the most part, I try to separate what I think of a candidate, personally, and vote for what I think he/she will do from a policy perspective in regard to what I think is best for this country - or at least vote against what I think will harm this country. I just couldn't do it in 2016. Easy choice this time.
  20. That article is bull**** and every legitimate timeline of information absolutely destroys that 70 day accusation. Why don't you do some of your own research and stop just runnig around regurgitating information that fits your narrative , but that you probably don't come close to understanding.
  21. “No seriously, I don’t know how much time I have here. They’re not letting me see my grandkids!” Biden continued. “I don’t want to be president. I want my rocking chair, nap time, ginger snaps and bingo!” But everyone just laughed even harder. “It must be another one of Biden's classic old-timey references.” Others said, “Oh Biden! What a character!” Biden then shook his head, blinking several times and looking visibly confused. He then managed to get out two coherent sentences before calling Wolf Blitzer a lying dog-faced pony soldier and challenging him to a push-up contest. The interview ended abruptly after security was forced to step in and pull him off-camera. Democratic viewers at home collectively shrugged and said, “He’s still got my vote.”
  22. Our prayers are with them, brother, and for everyone in harms way
  23. I'll light a candle for you
