  1. Being self sustaining is not a bad thing. Telling millions of unemployed people who live in urban areas to just start hunting and growing their own food Is obtuse.
  2. No. To say you close down an economy until there is a vaccine or until we can make sure this is completely under control is asinine
  3. All I can say, is thank God people like the two of you are not in charge of this country.
  4. Are you kidding me? This is your answer to shutting down the economy? This is beyond ridiculous....
  5. Do you even understand how an economy works? Do you think the government can continue to dole out trillions of dollars without this turning into a a complete economic disaster, the likes of which you have never experienced? The cold hard truth is this: To avoid serious and prolonged consequences, this economy needs to begin opening up soon.
  6. Silly you. Don't you know the other 2.7 million people that die this year and every year don't really matter....
  7. And some need to understand the reality of an economic collapse. Some aren't living in reality
  8. I hope his cognitive abilities never deteriorate to the level of @BillStime. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone...
  9. He could put up a blank post and it would add more to the conversation than all of your posts, under all of your names, combined...
  10. Yeah, we are about 10-14 days behind. Here's hoping we continue to do what we need to in order to keep the final numbers (particulary death) as low as possible. Aslo, my comment about trying to assess blame wasn't directed at you. You have been a strong advocate for the positions you have taken, and you have been fair in your assessment of the response by the government.
  11. Yep, Tibs pointed it out. I transposed the death numbers. (Current US death is 30, 985) https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6 United States: 331 million people, 639,664 cases, 1932 cases per 1 million, 30,985 deaths, 93 deaths per 1 million The next five countries combined: 321 Million people, 716, 822 cases, 2159 cases per 1 million, 74,591 deaths, 224 deaths per 1 million
  12. Thanks - posted them backward. Fixed it.
  13. We are not 3 weeks behind those five countries and I'm not claiming some sort of victory or anything at all. If people are going to present information, then be accurate. Don't post a stat that the United States has more cases than any country in the world, without putting it in some kind of context to it, and then claim a complete failure on Trumps part - which is what he did. BTW; We don't have twice as many deaths, I transposed the death numbers. Fixed it
  14. Ummm, you forgot to add one teeny, weeny, little caveat to this: The population of the United States is more than that of the next five countries, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom combined. United States: 331 million people, 639,664 cases, 1932 cases per 1 million, 30,985 deaths, 93 deaths per 1 million The next five countries combined: 321 Million people, 716, 822 cases, 2159 cases per 1 million, 74,591 deaths, 224 deaths per 1 million I'm sure you weren't trying to paint a dishonest picture..
  15. So, Pelosi accuses Trump of ignoring health experts and science and defends the WHO as being vital in defeating this virus. Yet, it was his reliance, along with the reliance of the rest of the world, on the WHO, the actual world's voice for health experts, science, and data, that is partly responsible for what has happened here and throughout the world. The same WHO that Pelosi was reying on when she made these remarks in SF's Chinatown on February 24th: And now, she wants to side with the WHO and their Chinese ties, rather than the US. What a POS....
  16. If the corruption in the Bureau, that culminated in Crossfire Hurricane, were the Wuhan Virus, then Mueller would be China...
  17. "Everytime you ask a low income person to come out and fill up their gas tanks and go get food, it's additional opportunity for exposure." I wonder if she subscribes to the Joe Biden "Poor kids are just as talented as white kids" school of thought?
  18. This should be the Democratic slogan for the November elections....
  19. Yes, that's exactly what I meant, I would like people to have absolutely no income, families to starve, and the entire economy to collapse and fall into a depression worse than 1929.... Why don't you just call yourself an idiot and save the rest of us the time?
  20. Asshatharry is like the village idiot here on PPP; however, he does serve a valuable function for me with his emoji responses. I can quickly scroll down a page and see which posts are worth reading (the ones he responds to with a "meh" emoji) and which ones make absolutely no sense at all and would be a waste of my time to read (the ones he responds to with a "thumbs up" emoji). I refer to it as the Asshatharry Barometer
  21. I know. Linking articles like that is nothing more than intellectual desperation. Given the quality of his posts, my guess is he didn't read past the headline. The responses at the state level have been an absolute cluster ****. I have friends here in North Carolina that couldn't apply for unemployment benefits for weeks - couldn't get through on line and couldn't speak with a live person. You would think the level of incompetence and mismanagement would open the eyes the people who are always clamoring for more government control....
  22. My favorite part of this video, was Cuomo and CNN claiming "Fredo" was an ethnic slur - and Cuomo going so far as to say, for Italians, it is the same as the "N" word. Being of Italian heritage myself, I can think of a lot of ethnic slurs I have heard in my life for Italians - "Fredo" isn't one of them... It's not defamation of character - It's definition of character: He is the loser little brother.
