Nothing wrong with a little fuzzy Kiwi....
And for those ignorant enough to chide the original poster.......The US HAS bailed out the Australian banks. Mr Bernanke refused to give specific details of the countries and amounts, but here is a ditty from the WSJ.
a lot of the aig bailout money went directly to foreign institutions. but hey we're not allowed to know how much and to whom. nice govt we've got here in america. NOT

what if 6 turned out to be 9?

Any love out there for Will Sergeant???
who is he? link?
-
Agreed.
And politics should not get in the way with atleast 2 other quality WR's being eligible (Rice and Carter).
So it's crowded with WR's. So what?
All 3 should go, and Reed should be right there with them.
reed never had anyone near moss' caliber to draw attention away. you got moss on your team, at best your #2, period. in most cases reed was #1.

kirk from metallica and hendrix
love ottmart liebert too.
flamenco is not rock

I'm intrigued by Jeff Garcia.
there were those rumors he putted from the rough

Ted Washington. As great as Bruce was Mount Washington made every defense he ever played on that much better. Anchored Jauron's 13-3 season with the bears. Anchored the Patriots 04 superbowl team. Top Tier Bills defense of the late 90's till deemed too fat for Gregg Williams, go figure Sedric Ellis is pretty much a pile of goo, but ehh whatver.
Offensively Jim Kelly. There's no other logical answer. He was never my favorite player, but hes worlds better than what we've had since.
is that right? that no good POS is the reason we lost Ted? what a freaking defensive genius LOL ... he was one blown call away from losing the NFC champ game at home last week too. that rotten turd.
anyway, i'd take Thurman -- a player that was a top back, receiver and blocker -- is more important than a qb. if you want to know why the offense ran well under reich too, look no further. parcells said he was the only bill that scared him in the super bowl. on defense ill go with bruuuuuce. gaurantted pressure on the qb every game is money

carter had terrific hands but he was slow as molasses. a lot of his catches came near the sidelines where the ball was thrown so he either caught it (which he most often did) or it went out of bounds. there was no point calling post routes or crossing routes for him since he wasn't fast enough to get deep, nor a good enough runner to get YAC

nice to know all that bailout money is being put to good use!!

Becker doesn't have the guitar chops of any of those guys, to be sure. (You can add Jon Herington and Wayne Krantz to that list, too.) He is a very tasteful player and he can make any solo sound like it belongs in a Steely Dan song. Walter is a much better bass player than he is a guitarist (check out his 2nd solos album, Circus Money). But he has become a respectable guitar player. He solos much more in concert now, and he seems to be better every time I see them.
Denny Dias may be the most underrated guitarist ever. But he has a jazz sound, not really a rock guitarist.
Dean, you sound like a player. did you play in any buffalo bands?
-
I hope it happens too, but I wouldn't bet on it. To many first year ballot players this year that will get in ahead of him: Emmitt, Rice, Tim Brown, possibly Shannon Sharpe on his second year. Plus you have someone like Chris Carter who is also waiting to get in. Hopefully in the voter's mind, Reed tops carter.
othet than rice, i wouldnt take any of those guys ahead of reed on my team

Becker has actually become a pretty respectable guitar player.
"home at last" good stuff

In defense of Steely Dan (the band not the TSW poster) they aren't a rock band. To judge them by rock standards is ridiculous. They are stylistically closer to Duke Ellington than the Rolling Stones. Even if you don't care for musical proficiency (an odd thought I have to say) you might want to try to appreciate their compositions, arrangements and lyrics. There are very few who in popular music who can touch Donald and Walt when it comes to composing and arranging.
They have had an influence on rock (for better or worse) because many, if not most, trained musicians have a great deal of respect for Steely Dan.
steely dan loved guitar and brought out the best in many a great studio musician. even becker's solos were quite good

Most of my favs were already mentioned, but I want to add Gary Moore.
who is he?
-
well Simms has a point. The unit was probaby over rated due to the presence of Smith. Take him away and everyone else looks rather average.
-
How about Walt Corey? He fits our bend don't break style. He'll also be 72 this year so he meets the minimum age requirement.
-
heck, i'll put Gordie Johnson ahead of alex when it comes to Canadian guitar players (and that's a short list to begin with). and i knew Gordo when he was a mere bass player standing next to a certain tuba player in a high school band. not a big fan of his new stuff, but i'll tell you his version of "Come Back Baby" absolutely blew my socks off.
how Keith Richards doesn't rate on anyone's list, well that's up for debate among the tone deaf ....
as for my Johnny Cash reference, sorry, was in a good mood grooving to Mr. Cash that night. ...

who's gordie johnson?

Not a doubt in my mind that Peppers goes to New England.
He will be a Patriot and they will continue to beat us twice a year.
They will get Peppers and we will get Seymour or Wilfork...and Peppers will outperform whomever we get by a long shot.
why is everyone so sure seymour wont be a raider?

Sorry. OJ not int he top 10 of all time great RBs? Preposterous at best. Yeah, I know it's a subjective thing but even by subjective measures OJ simply cannot be dismissed. At a minimum, he's top three all time.
GO BILLS!!!

i dont think any bill olineman was as respected, so yes, joe d as far as olinemen
-
Absolutely. The gold standard for pocket passers in the post season.
LOL as he tossed a goal line pick from the pocket that cost AZ the super bowl

raiders. when they were good people hated them because they were dirty. now that they suck people hate their owner so much to the point they can only get unproven scrubs to coach. and oh yes, the fans in halloween costumes provide fodder whether the team is good or bad
-
i dont see any case why we need to waste a mid to late round pick on a qb when we have sooooo many needs to fill. a qb taken outside the initial rounds is by definition a long shot and a project. we have too much of that already. let's fill out the team on both sides and THEN see what a QB can do

i'd rather see us get peyton manning
