  1. Thanks for the replies guys. I decided not to do OJ though, it's due on Tuesday and with the library being closed today I don't feel like I have enough time to try to find sources. I think I'm going to do Marv Levy instead. I own and have already read Where Else Would You Rather Be?, so I think I should be set with that. Happy Thanksgiving!
  2. I'm not sure, but I think they've already been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. I still would love for them to win out though, and think it's possible, although it will be very difficult.
  3. Have you actually read it? I thought about seeing if I could get it, but I was under the impression that it was focused mainly on the murders, and that's not really what I'm looking for.
  4. Overall I agree with your post, but the game is at the Ralph this Sunday, and I don't see the Bills getting blown out. I think it will be a close game.
  5. I have to write a paper about a famous person for a developmental psychology class, and I thought OJ would be an interesting person to write about because he is both famous and infamous for many reasons. What I have to do is research this person's life and use developmental psychology principles and theories to attempt to explain how they became the person they are in adulthood. Does anyone know of any good OJ biographies that contain a good amount of information on his childhood and early life?
  6. 1. you didn't answer my question. If the Bills can't draft as you say, what about the quarterback position decreases their chances of busting? Furthermore, if they aren't one or two players away, how does one person playing one position (quarterback) change this? 2. I disagree. If winning is your only metric of success, then yes Fitzpatrick had success against 2 bad teams. However, I did not think he played as well against Detroit as he has in several of our losses. You say that he threw us out of wins in some of these games. While his mistakes did contribute to the losses and can't be ignored, I am of the opinion that we were in these games to begin with primarily because of Fitzpatrick, and that with better play from the defense we would have won. Every QB throws picks. Fitz's happen to be especially backbreaking because the D can't make a stop after a turnover, or even throughout most of the game in many cases this year. If we had a D that came out after a turnover and got one of their own or forced a three and out, the impact of interceptions would be minimal.
  7. 1) If the Bills can't draft and pass on good players to find busts every year, how would picking a Quarterback instead of a defensive player change this? 2) Fitz has been keeping us in many games, and has won us 1. We would have won a few more that he kept us in if the defense could make a stop when they needed to.
  8. I thought you were off the Fitzpatrick bandwagon? http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/123213-i-am-off-the-fitzpatrick-bandwagon/page__p__2033952__hl__%2Bfitzpatrick+%2Bbandwagon__fromsearch__1#entry2033952
  9. I think they could be really good with some changes. I like the color of the jersey, it's more like the color of our throwbacks and the 90's unis. I also like the helmet and the standing buffalo logo on the jersey. I do not like the sleeves coming out from under the jersey or the striping on the sleeves, and I think they should go with a more traditional look for the numbers.
  10. Yes, that is much better. It may seem like a small difference, but it's the difference between a factually correct statement and a blatant lie.
  11. I remember the game just fine. As you just said yourself, we later tied the game. If the game is tied no one has the lead. Therefore, the picks did not give Baltimore the lead for good.
  12. I must not have watched the same Baltimore game as you did. It was Shawn Nelson's fumble that gave Baltimore the lead for good, not Fitz's picks.
  13. I don't have kids either, but I wouldn't think the two are mutually exclusive. I guess it would depend on the specifics of the exact situation.
  14. 6 Ability to count to 3 Seriously though, I agree OP. Good list.
  15. I've only been to a handful of games at RWS in my life, but I've never had a problem getting through. My experience every time has been walk up to the guy, hold your arms out in the crucifix pose, and he gives you a quick pat down. The only time it's been anything more than that is when I bring a bag of blankets or extra clothes to a winter game, and he asks you to open the bag.
  16. The past doesn't matter. Of course if you asked him "In your NFL career to date, have you been a starter or a backup more often?" the answer would be backup, as Fitz is not delusional and smart enough to do the simple math. But the bottom line is he's starting this year and playing well, and that wouldn't happen if he wasn't confident in his ability to be more than a backup. He might be aware that he's not the best QB in the league, but I doubt he sits at home and thinks about it. He's probably too busy trying to become the best QB in the league for that. JMO.
  17. Completely ridiculous. No way does a guy make it to the NFL and have the success Fitz is having this year with the mentality that he's not good enough to be anything but a backup.
  18. The kick never got to the line of scrimmage. It was blocked 3 yards behind it.
  19. I'd buy one if I had an extra four grand.
  20. What do you agree with exactly? This has nothing to do with the fans owning the team or having any say in personnel decisions.
  21. Who is Ryan Fitzoatrick? The Quaker guy?
  22. There's no way it wouldn't have cleared the crossbar. Crossbar height is 10 feet, like you said the defender hit it about 9 feet off the ground. He was only 5 yards in front of Lindell when he blocked it. Do you really think it wouldn't have raised another foot in 15 yards? If the line doesn't get blown up, that kick is good every time. I'm a big Fitz supporter and disagree with the assertion that he's a choker, but putting that block on Lindell is ridiculous.
  23. Admittedly, I had to cheat (Wikipedia) but here goes: 1982, Bills draft Gary Anderson, then cut him in training camp in favor of Mike-Mayer. Anderson goes on to have an all pro career elsewhere when the Bills need a new PK, they sign Scott Norwood in 1985 In superbowl XXV, Norwood infamously misses the winning field goal attempt wide right You believe had the Bills kept Gary Anderson, he makes that kick
  24. Thanks for the replies so far guys. Lots of good, different opinions. I especially appreciate the responses regarding the different skill sets and playing styles of the two players. Just to be clear, my intent was not to suggest that Fitzpatrick is as good as Archie Manning was. I just used him as the classic example of a good QB on a really bad team, and with the way Fitz has been playing this year, he has been a good QB on a really bad team in my opinion. If he can keep it up and continue improving remains to be seen. Here's to hoping he can
