I do like the Steelers unis, but I don't think that a similar chest patch would work for the Bills logo because as I said, it's too asymmetrical. Regarding the Eagles, the sleeve logos work because the eagle head is a different logo than the helmet wings. The Panthers uniform in your first link with the helmet logo and sleeve logo the same looks silly to me. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
-
The problem with the logo on the jersey is that its asymmetrical. Have you ever seen the cheapo walmart bills jerseys? they have the logo as a chest patch just under the collar and it looks horrible. I wouldn't want it on the sleeves or shoulders either because its already on the sides of the helmet, and having it again a few inches lower makes the profile too redundant IMO. If they want to brand the jersey somehow, I think the best way to do it would be to have a small patch under the collar that says Bills in the block letter font the team uses.

I was a freshman in college when the original guitar hero came out and was all the rage. I'm not much of a video game guy and never got into it myself, but my roommate had it and would stay up till 3 or 4 am playing it almost every night. I'm not sure how he ever made it to his 8am classes.

If this description is true it would be a huge improvement and I wouldn't hate it by any means, but I wish they wouldn't incorporate the navy.

I voted for Kyle Williams, I may also buy a Fitz midway through the season if the team has a winning record and he continues to improve.

I think the only reason some people are upset by this is because she's 17 AND in high school. If it was an 18 year old high school senior or a 17 year old college freshman I doubt we would be having this conversation.

I just got the bills text saying the same thing

I loved the Redwall series when I was in middle school, but I didn't realize that it began in 1986, I always assumed they were much older (I was in middle school in the late 90's/early 2000's). RIP Brian Jaques.

I want there to be football next year, but if there's a lockout, the fans need to get together and let the league know that they'll have to work to win us back when football resumes. If that happens and somehow results in sunday ticket, ticket prices, merchandise prices etc being cut by 50% league wide or a similar scenario in which the fans came out as winners, a year long lockout would be worth it. Unfortunately, this scenario is basically a pipe dream because neither the owners nor players are currently willing to take a smaller piece of the proverbial pie, so there's no way either side would reduce the overall size of said pie unless they absolutely had to, and I can't see millions of football fans across the entire country being unified enough to pull this off. For every season ticket holder a lockout drives away, there will be one who will gladly take his place, especially in cities like Green Bay with miles-long waiting lists.

Until he gives us a better chance to win games than Fitzpatrick does, however long that may be. -
Could a Lockout be Good for Us Fans??
Chandemonium replied to BuffaloATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only way a lockout would benefit the fans is if it resulted in lower ticket prices in an attempt to lure fans who felt alienated back. Unfortunately I don't think this will happen unless there is no football at all next year. Even if there isn't a season, my guess is rather than feeling alienated and threatening to boycott after a year off, the majority of fans will need a fix and will be climbing over the walls to get back in the stadiums when football resumes. -
Not from a parent's perspective, but when I was 6 or 7 and my younger brother was 2, we were playing a game where we would climb up on the back of the couch, jump down to the seat cushions, then down to the floor. My brother landed funny and broke one of the bones in his foot. After he got back from getting x rays and a cast, he immediately started doing the exact same thing again! When my dad told him to stop and asked him if he remembered what just happened, my brother said something to the effect of "yeah, but now I have a hard shoe so I can't get hurt." If your son is back to doing his normal stuff already and the injury isn't bothering him, he should be fine.

3 posts, all in this topic... EldaBillsFan must be either AJ Green's agent, or his mother. There's no way the Bills can afford to pick a WR at #3. It's arguably the strongest position on the team, and the D is atrocious.

Fireman Ed seems more like the Elvis guy at Bills games than Pinto Kenny. Kenny is known for his tailgate and his streak of games attended. Elvis and Fireman Ed are more like unofficial mascots who get shown on TV during home games for their respective teams. I haven't ever seen Kenny on TV in the stands during a game, and I doubt camera crews would know where to look for him.

Antonio Cromartie rips Tom Brady
Chandemonium replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it has no effect on motivation at all, but I do think that the effect is minimal, perhaps even insignificant. Another thing to consider is that even if it does have some effect, it may work in two different ways. If a player is already at the level of emotional arousal that he functions best at, added motivation can result in over arousal and diminished performance. If the same player is below their optimal level of arousal, the added motivation would bring him up to or closer to his optimal arousal level and performance would increase. If some guys play slightly better and others play slightly worse in response to the same changes in their level of motivation, any effects should cancel themselves out across the team as whole. In this particular case, as the most important player on the team and the guy the comments were directed at specifically, how Brady himself reacts is the wild card. I don't think he will let Cromartie get in his head and play worse because of it, and I also don't think that he needed to hear those things to be sufficiently motivated for the game. -

The whole concept of billboard material is a bunch of BS IMO. If a professional athlete needs the other team to talk smack in order to get motivated to play a playoff game against a division rival, something is seriously wrong. -
I think they should keep it at 16 games, but if they do go to 18, I think they need to add a 2nd bye week and expand the roster to 60 players.

Syracuse used to be outside the blackout area and should be based on it's distance from the stadium, but a few years back the NFL discovered that people in Rochester could get a faint signal with a huge antenna on a clear day, so they extended the blackout zone to Syracuse to stop those renegade Rochesterians.

There is one thing that no one ever mentions in these should have won or should have lost conversations that is worth considering. It is impossible to say that we would have lost if he made those field goals, because it is impossible to know how a different outcome of a single play would have affected the rest of the game. Consider that of the 4 field goal attempts, one was as time expired in the first half and the Bills punted on the ensuing drive on the other three. Suppose one of the field goals other than the one at halftime was made, the Bills might have got a TD instead of punting on the next drive, which would in effect put the bills four points up as a result of the field goal. It is only on the somewhat rare occasion that the game is decided on the final play, or a play like the Steve Johnson drop in the Pittsburgh game that would have been the final play, that you can say that a single play won or lost the game, and even then if any of the preceding plays turned out differently, the entire game may have as well.

We will find out how important Lee Evans is
Chandemonium replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does it matter that the footage is from last season? Do you think his arm has gotten significantly worse since then? I disagree that it looks like he is at the limit of his range on that throw. To me it looks like he didn't get a good follow through because of the pass rush in his face, and he had to put more air under the ball than he would have otherwise. Anyway, the reason I used a video from last year isn't because it was all I could find, but it was the first example that came to mind. If you want another example from this year, google "Steve Johnson drop." That one was a perfectly thrown ball that went 50 yards in the air, into double coverage, this season. I wonder why he doesn't throw that pass to Evans more often, since that's supposedly Evans' bread and butter? It could be any number of factors. Maybe not many deep balls are being called, or maybe its because the guy running that route isn't getting open. I get what you're saying that the deep ball might not be Fitz's strength, but he is still good enough at it. Saying that Evans isn't making catches because Fitz can't make the throw on his favorite route when we've seen him make it just doesn't make sense to me. -

the 98 yarder to TO last year went 50 yards in the air. Fitz threw from 5 yards deep in the endzone, catch was made at the 45. -
25 Facts About Your Favorite Christmas Movies

good list. I'm kinda disappointed in mythbusters, that they actually had to test to see if you could get your tongue stuck to a piece of cold metal. I thought this was common sense for anyone who has ever lived through winter or gotten something out of a freezer. I mean, if your hands stick to metal when its cold enough, why wouldn't your tongue? Its kinda crazy that Pesci actually bit Macaulay Culkin too. -

Is she related to Carrie Fisher? She looked real nice in that gold bikini in Star Wars. -
The bolded section basically says he can't pass or run block. So what good is he?

McKelvin Played Well Today
Chandemonium replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It looked to me like he had good coverage and the reason why he was several yards behind the receiver is because he saw it was badly thrown and came back for it before the receiver did.
