  1. The question at the end kills me. "Should Fitzpatrick be in the conversation with Sanchez and Chad Henne as the No. 2 quarterback in the AFC East behind Tom Brady?" Even though I think he's overrated and would rather have Fitz, I get Sanchez being ranked ahead of Fitz by most because the Jets are a good team in a large market. But Henne has never been in the conversation as #2 in the AFCE, and the way it is worded makes it sound like Fitz wasn't fit to carry his jock until this week.
  2. How did they "definitely" have better games? Fitz threw more td's in fewer attempts than Rogers. He also threw the same amount of td's as Brady in half the attempts, and had a better completion percentage than Brady. Brady also threw a pick while Fitz didn't. He didn't have near the yards these two (especially Brady)had, but that's because the Bills D and ST gave them excellent field position all game, and I saw nothing to indicate that he wouldn't have been able to get those yards if he needed to. I'm not saying Fitz is as good as these guys overall but this week, he was.
  3. I get what you're saying, but even in a qb driven league your goal should be to get your #1 RB at least 15-20 carries a game more often than not, if for no other reason than to keep the defense off balance. I realize Freddie hasn't always been the #1, but that was kind of the point of my post.
  4. The most unbelievable part of this stat is that Freddie's only gotten 20+ carries 9 times in 2 seasons.
  5. Who is the best LT expected to be available at #32 overall?
  6. To me, the Raiders seem similar to the Chiefs, or at least what people expected the Chiefs to be like before we rolled them yesterday. Good D, strong running game, average at best QB. Their RB's are more of the bruiser type than Charles though. I don't know much about their receivers, and I'm not sure how their defensive backfield will be without Asomugha either. If we can stop the run and establish a balanced offensive attack we should win, especially with the crowd high on a big win on the road the previous week and it being the home opener
  7. Who the Scott Hill is Sam Chandler?
  8. Yeah, 28th overall (Wood) is nowhere near 27th overall (Fina)
  9. Moorman is just as good with or without Lindell. On the other hand, Lindell's success as a placekicker is directly dependent on Moorman's holding ability. It could also be argued that Moorman's punting has done more for the Bills in the field position battle that Lindell's kickoffs have. I don't have any evidence to back that up, but that's been my perception throughout their careers in Buffalo with the possible exception of last year, which was Moorman's worst. At any rate, captains aren't (or shouldn't be) chosen based on their on the field accomplishments, but by their off the field leadership skills. These are extremely difficult for an outsider to judge, especially for ST players who don't get much face time from the media.
  10. Was there even an internet to chest-thump on the last time the Bills had a 10+ win season?
  11. the 5th one misses so badly he hits Cassel?
  12. How are they different? By definition, you can't win every game and NOT go undefeated, therefore if you expect to win every game and no games have been played yet, you expect to go undefeated. To state otherwise is a logical fallacy. Saying "I expect to win every game" and "I expect to be undefeated" only have different meanings after the team has lost, when the former implies "I expect to win every REMAINING game" and the latter becomes impossible because the results of previous games cannot be changed. Personally I'm glad coach Gailey expects his team to win every game. That's the attitude you need to be successful
  13. Yes, but only after Trent dogged "all of us" (the team and fans) by giving up on 4th and game at home against the fins week 1.
  14. So would you rather have Bell-Levitre-Hangartner-Wood-Green, with Wood and Bell both coming of serious injuries and unable to practice fully and needing to take plays off in games, or Bell-Levitre-Wood-Urbik-Pears, with Wood and Bell both healthy? I don't expect the line to be great this year and still think it's the teams biggest weakness, but I do expect them to be better than last year.
  15. While I agree that the OL remains a weakness, I also believe it is better than it was last year. The left side is the same players as last year, but they should be better with an additional year of experience. Wood at C is an upgrade over Hangartner. Urbik had a slow start to camp, but looked good in the last couple preseason games. Pears has looked much better than Cornell Green. The lack of depth is a concern, but IMO among the starters the only spot that might be a downgrade compared to this time last year is Urbik at RG instead of Wood. Every other starting position is either an upgrade, or the same player who should have theoretically gotten better compared to last year. Even among the backups, I would feel better if they signed another quality vet and I think they should have kept Hangartner for this reason, but we had guys like Wrotto and Howard starting at various points last season who didn't make the roster this year, so I'm not convinced the depth is that much worse either. I guess we'll see in 5 days.
  16. If he doesn't play in the last preseason game, I wouldn't be surprised if Roscoe ends up on the PUP list to start the season and Aiken makes the team.
  17. Their burgers are less than half as good as five guys
  18. Its funny to me that this is considered a luxury feature on cars in 2011 when my dad's 1967 farmall tractor has push button starting.
  19. I agree with your take on the police officer, but just because his actions were inappropriate does not make what the woman did smart or correct either. If she felt he was acting inappropriately she could have asked for his name and badge number, complied, and reported the incident. She still would have the video evidence of his conduct, and would not have gotten arrested. The only problem is of course, that this never would have made the news. While technically I agree that the woman was within her rights, her failure to act prudently in favor of becoming argumentative makes me suspect that she had ulterior motives, as does the fact that she was taping a traffic stop in the first place.
  20. You mean the witnesses who pick up the camera and are talking on camera after she's hauled off? They obviously know the woman since they're at her house. Of course they're going to take her side. If she didn't want a confrontation, she would have complied with the officer's request instead of arguing with him.
  21. Photo's been removed from OP's link.
  22. This is exactly correct. Being from Rochester, i can tell you that the Amerks used to be a great draw. Ever since the affiliation with the Sabres ended, no one goes to games anymore because most hockey fans in Rochester are Sabres fans and don't care about seeing Panthers prospects, and with RIT being D-I now there's other options for seeing good hockey close to home.
  23. The Grand Mauler, because he'll give offenses seizures.
  24. Here's an easy way to remember it. its spelled "Dare-us" As in "the patriots offensive line is going to dare us to flatten Brady, and they'll be sorry they did."
  25. I had to google this Pat Robertson fella because I had no idea who he is. Just about everyone in the world knows who OBL is/was. I don't think its quite the same.
