Long snapper won't matter until until we get a franchise waterboy. That kid that got hired because his grandpa is friends with Buddy is an OK stopgap, but his 40 time makes him more of a #2. He just can't get out to the huddle with those bottles fast enough during timeouts, and our players not being sufficiently hydrated is a key reason why we always have so many guys on IR IMO.

I'm not sure why winter was brought up at all. Aren't they in Georgia or some other deep south state where most years it only drops below freezing at night a handful of times? Maybe the group is going to be heading North soon. I suppose if they were further north it would get cold enough to freeze the walkers and immobilize them, but the humans would probably freeze to death as well without utility service or at least a steady supply of firewood.

I'm not a ST holder, but I've always thought that the one redeeming quality of the Toronto series was that ST holders were forced to pay for one less game they wouldn't go to anyway when Toronto has a preseason game. This will probably never happen, but if/when the Toronto contract gets renewed, I think it would be great if they got both preseason home games every year and The Ralph kept all 8 real games.

I seem to recall Moorman doing this all the time several years ago. I'm not sure if it's different coverage guys, different coaching, Moorman getting old or all of the above,but he doesn't pin them deep like he used to. He can still boot it a country mile though.

Regarding how banged up we are, call me crazy but I think the bills are actually a healthier team now(or will be by next week barring further injury) than the first time they played the jets. Even if george Wilson can't play this week, he'll be back next week unless his injury is much more serious than the team is letting on. We're also getting Kelsay back, which I think is a bigger positive than most realize. The bills are 4-1 with him in the lineup this season and 1-3 without him. Wood is a huge loss, but the bright side is with Hairston and possibly bell returning to left tackle, Levitre, who has arguably been our best interior o-lineman this year gets to move back to the interior.

How did backing in work out for the packers last year? The jets 2 years ago? Even Seattle at 7-9 upset the defending superbowl champs last year, and Kansas city is once again right in the thick of their division race this year so I'm not sure those examples support your point very well either. Once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen. I'd rather see the bills win out to get in than go 8-8 and have the teams they're competing against lose out but I'll still take the playoffs over no playoffs, no matter how either happens. Do you think new England fans were happy the year they went 11-5 and didn't get in just because they had a good record and should have/would have gotten in with that record most years?

Even great qb's have slumps. Last year Peyton manning had a stretch where he threw 11 picks in 3 games. Fitz will be fine.

I agree with this. If you look at the 10 guys on IR, only 4 of them were expected to see significant time and be contributors this year, 5 if you include Easley. The rest are mostly guys fans who don't follow training camp or preseason have likely never heard of.

The fact is, this team still controls their own playoff destiny after the halfway point of the season. I'm certainly not going to write them off just because of a couple bad games. This week is a must win though. Go Bills!

I know he's been the lone bright spot on either side of the ball the past two weeks, but is anyone else concerned about him losing fumbles two games in a row? Both were on runs up the middle in traffic, and on both he was carrying the ball with one arm when it came out. I would like to see him carrying the ball with 2 hands in those situations. Is this something that teams have noticed on film and are beginning to exploit, is Fred trying to hit the hole faster to get more yards at the expense of ball security, or is this just an anomaly?
