  2. Apparently lots of others are following through too. Just saw on Facebook that the Bills ticket office will be open extended hours this weekend due to the demand.
  3. I alluded to that issue in my first post on this topic, when I said I loved him when he was here but I'm not sure if he's better than what we have after two years off. Still, it costs nothing to bring him in for a workout or give him a camp spot and see if he's anywhere close to being in game shape.
  4. What comments? the ones about not wanting to switch schemes and be part of yet another rebuild after playing the same position on a losing team for 9 years? Or how he chose to retire as a career Bill even though he had options to go play for better teams that were better fits for his skills than the new scheme in Buffalo would have been?
  5. Yeah, it really sucked watching him get those 10 sacks
  6. It's kind of sad coming on here and seeing this thread 1/4 way down the board, destined to eventually sink into message board oblivion. Goodbye old friend, you will be missed.
  7. No, but that doesn't matter if he only wants to play for the Bills.
  8. I loved Schobel while he was here but at this point I'm not sure if he would be an upgrade over guys we already have, after taking 2 years off. I guess it wouldn't hurt to work him out and offer him a modest contract if he can show he's still got it though.
  9. This would be the year, if I wasn't planning on moving to South Carolina. I know a lot of other guys on here live just as far or farther away and have them, but I'm not at a point in my life where I can justify paying that much for something I won't use. Best case scenario for me will be to split a seat with someone and come up for a game or two, and even then it will only be if they have home games over the holidays. I guess I'll wait and see when the schedule comes out.
  10. Before Mario signed yesterday, I was thinking best case scenario would be 10-6 and a possible wild card spot if all of your key players stayed healthy for most of the year, but I was thinking 8-8 would be more likely. After yesterday's signing, I think this is a 12 win team, and possible division winner. Our D-line just went from mediocre at best to top 3 in the league IMO, which will be absolutely huge in opening things up for and taking pressure off the rest of the D, and help field position on offense as well. If we can just address left tackle, either by re-signing Bell or in the draft (or both) and add a receiver, this team could look much better than the team that started last year 5-2. The only other area I'm concerned about is backup QB, because if we had someone halfway competent who could step in for a few weeks to let Fitz's ribs heal properly, I don't think we lose 7 in a row last year either, but I digress. How do you think this signing impacts the team's record next year?
  11. Something like this, perhaps? Back in two aught twelve, the meanest, most feared pass rusher (that's something from this game called football we used to have)you ever did see came to Buffalo to sign with the local team for $100 million dollars, which was a lot of money back then. He was so quick, he could be in two places at once. He even checked out of his hotel while at a hockey (another game we used to have where people tied metal to their feet and glided around on ice hitting a disk with sticks)game. Boy was he somethin, there'll never be another like him, you mark my words.
  12. Mario Mario to collect his coins and crawl down his pipes.
  13. No, Manning was actually in Denver holding up a Mario Williams sign on the street corner. Rumor is he was also shouting incoherently about the end of days. You just interpreted it wrong.
  14. The Bills are waiting for all the other teams to spend all their money so they can lowball him and still be the only team willing to pay that much.
  15. working from 2pm to 10pm, possibly going out after
  16. Luckily we'll be able to have him signed before they are even allowed to talk to him because of the time difference.
  17. per bills text, the eagle has landed
  18. Can they even afford to sign anyone else with all the money they just got docked?
  19. I get why people don't like the bleacher report articles that are full of speculation, rumors, and misinformation and attempt to pass these things off as news, but who cares if a mock draft comes from bleacher report or somewhere else? Mock drafts by their very nature are rumors and speculation, no matter the source.
  20. If you lump the last 22 years together, the Bills make the Superbowl an average of every 5 1/2 years. That's pretty good, right?
  21. I was at that game and don't remember it being all that bad. I thought the last game of the 2009 season against Indy was much worse temperature-wise, and that game it snowed like crazy.
  22. Gailey is no fan of punting, that's for sure http://www.theonion.com/articles/nfl-coaches-admit-it-sucks-when-you-have-to-punt,26969/
  23. Yeah, but could he get into Mizzou?
