glad I got my "old" Reebok ones when Dick's was blowing them out for $15 each. PIcked up a Spiller and a Dareus for that price.

Why do we need to plan for a new stadium in 10-15 years? even in 15 years, the Ralph will only be 54 years old. Other buildings last for hundreds of years with proper maintenance, and those buildings were built hundreds of years ago, with the technology and engineering and architectural knowledge available then. Why wouldn't a comparatively modern structure such as the Ralph be able to last just as long or longer with regular maintenance? This question doesn't just apply to the Ralph, but sports stadiums in general. It seems like people call for all but the most historic ones to be torn down and rebuilt once they reach 30-40 years old. Is this just a reflection of our culture of consumerism and always wanting the latest and greatest, or are there actual architectural elements of stadiums that require them to be replaced more often than other buildings?

I do. Football is meant to be played outside, in the elements. If that means I have to be outside in the elements to see a game live, so be it. I've been outside all day in some pretty nasty weather, both at Bills games and doing other things, and I can't recall ever being uncomfortably cold and/or wet, so long as I was dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. If you under-dress, yes that is going to suck, but it's your own fault. People who live in Western New York should have plenty of cold weather gear, especially those who enjoy outdoor activities in the winter time, like attending Bills games.

Totally different. Girls don't have sexual fantasies On a serious note, you're right on. Even if it was a college professor and an adult student, it would be unethical, and likely a fireable offense for the professor. It just so happens that when there's minors involved, it is also illegal. That being said, I'm not sure if victim is the right word to describe the student in this case either. I fantasized about a few teachers in high school, and would have jumped at the chance to act on those fantasies. I would not have felt like a victim then, and would probably look back on the experience with fond memories now. That still doesn't make it right on the teacher's part, though.

Might be a decent gimmick to sell preseason tickets. -
Not sure if this is posted, but I just saw this offer on facebook. go to the bills store website and use coupon code FB50OFFHAT at checkout to get 50% off a Bills hat. It's only good for another 35 minute though (til 10 PM EST tonight.)

Very important question for those in WNY

I would go for it. In hindsight, the winter was so mild you probably could have gotten away with never changing them last fall, but I'll defer to the Captain for confirmation on that. -
CJ and Choice in, Fred out...?

Right. That was the joke. Since you seem to be pursuing a career with the grammar police though, here's a helpful hint: It's someone who, not someone that. -
He did a phone interview with the buffalo news after the Mario signing.

My take on the 2012-2013 Chris Kelsay
Chandemonium replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As good as this offseason has looked so far, I will have lost faith in this organization long before he has a chance to drop a pass in the playoffs if the Bills move Kelsay to receiver. -
TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)

A re-run of boomer and carton is on msg right now. They're both ranting about how ridiculous the jets even considering tebow is and how it will never happen. Hilarious. -

When it's over, it will be known as the season they shat for Matt.

I agree. I'm thinking it's gotta be the same artist.

my dog's full name is Flapjack, but no one's called him that in close to 10 years. Now he's just Jack.

I agree with you that this is how it should happen, but I don't think it will. If Kelsay does switch, I bet it's for a pretty hefty sum. Although who knows, maybe Mario was never thrilled with 90, but it was one of the numbers available his rookie year and he just stuck with it after.

Being in my early 20's, with the exception of pictures from the AFL and OJ days I never knew anything but the red helmets until they first started wearing the throwbacks a few seasons ago. I loved the red helmets throughout that whole time, but after seeing the white ones with the new uni's this year, when I look at a red one now it's kind of ugly in comparison. JMO.

I think you missed the sarcasm here.

Nevermind Merriman, I'm not even ready to put Dareus ahead of a healthy K. Williams.

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Chandemonium replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is this possible? I thought the franchise tag value was the average of the top 5 salaries at that position. We just made him the highest paid defensive player in history for ~16-17 million per year, so how can the top 5 DE's average 22 million? -
Buddy unintentionaly rips Sanchez
Chandemonium replied to DaveinElma's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well,on the one hand throwing for 480 yards and 6 TD's is quite the accomplishment for any QB, no matter how good the team around you is, and Rodgers never did it in 15 tries with the same team and he is considered elite. I think a lot of people are looking at that game as evidence of what he's capable of. On the other hand, its extremely likely that he has already had the best game of his career with that performance, and will never come close to it again. I can see both sides. Wherever he goes, it will be interesting to see how his career pans out. -
Despite getting some timely turnovers, the defense was atrocious all year last year. The offense was not a problem with this team until all of the injuries. Even then, the defense was constantly putting the offense in huge holes by not being able to stop a nosebleed (i.e. the Dallas game that was 21-0 after three possessions). If the team can stay healthy and the defense can get its ass off the field once in while (which they will be able to, thanks in huge part to MW), The offense will be fine. They were able to start 5-2 last year because of the offense and in spite of the defense. When everyone is back healthy, we still have that 5-2 offense. The difference is the defense just got much better.
