The Bills Won Today because You....
Chandemonium replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went to the bar, ordered my first beer 10 minutes before kickoff, but didn't touch it until I had my first sip the exact moment the ball was kicked off. -
At first I read this as Bills 34, cards 17 and thought "damn, that was close!" Then I realized I was reading it backwards. But hey, at least you got the total right.

Record prediction after 2 games
Chandemonium replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't call one red zone trip the entire game in garbage time moving the ball effectively, even if it adds up to 400 yards due to 2 70+ yard pass plays. -
On the play where decker got called for taunting and there was also holding on the o-line, why was it first and 20 after? Shouldn't the 15 yarder have superseded the 10 yarder to make 1st and 25?

T'Was The Night Before Football Season
Chandemonium replied to KellyToTasker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice. I didn't see this last night, but I woke up a couple hours ago and couldn't get back to sleep and had the same idea. Here's mine: Twas the night before Billsmas and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse The Zubaz were hung by the tailgating gear In hopes that the season soon would be there And Tyrod was nestled all snug in his bed While visions of Sammy danced in his head But Dareus in his kerchief and Seantrel in his cap Still have four games til they take their first snap When out on the field there arose such a clatter Goodwin sprang from his bed to see what was the matter Away from the locker room he sprang like a Flash Tore up the field, and caught a pass at the hash Warren Moon threw a pick to Henry Jones On the day of The Comeback all those years ago When what to my Wondering eyes should appear Driving a Taurus with dice in the mirror The man from the statue, the legend himself I knew right away it must be St. Ralph And with the Pegulas, through the concourse they came Whistling and shouting and calling by name For Jimbo, for Thurman, for Andre, for Bruce The Offensive Line must turn McCoy loose And Up to the Press box that Taurus they flew Murph was calling the game where Van Miller used to And then to the stadium New Era came with a flash For they have a name and boatloads of cash And St. Ralph said to Rex, this I did hear Your team better make the playoffs this year As St. Ralph walked away and faded from sight He cried Merry Billsmas to all, and to all a goodnight! -

2016 Brazil Summer Olympics Thread
Chandemonium replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
So far all I've seen is a 30 second clip of that French gymnast who snapped his lower leg. -
I agree about the low alcohol beers in the summer. The 17% stout is a limited release where they release one batch a year in January. They only sell it in bombers so I save it for when I have 3-4 other people to share a bottle with, and I definitely prefer drinking it in fall or winter than the heat of summer.

I like them for outdoor activities. If I'm fishing I can carry a snack, a water bottle, a small box of lures and a small first aid kit without bringing a pack. That's in addition to the phone/wallet/keys/knife that are usually in my regular pockets.

One of the local craft breweries near me has a 2.7% Berliner Weiss that I really enjoy. The same brewery as the one that makes the 2.7 also has a 17.5% imperial stout, which I also really enjoy.

In theory, I believe that a business owner should be able to deny service to any person at any time for any reason. If the same service can reasonably be procured at another business, I don't see how a single business denying service violates one's rights. The problem arises when there are not reasonable alternatives, or when the alternatives either independently of in collusion with one another decide to deny service to the same person or people. For example, let's say I live a rural town with 4 gas stations, but besides those 4 there is not another gas station for 100 miles in any direction. If one of the gas stations denies me service because I'm balding, I can simply choose to go to one of the other three and go about my business, and my rights are not being violated. If the other three gas stations close or also decide they don't serve balding men, now my rights are being violated because driving 200 miles round trip just for gas is not a reasonable alternative. In a practical sense, it is much more efficient for the gov't to say businesses can't discriminate than it is for them to investigate and determine which individual discriminations actually result in a violation of rights, and that's a trade off I'm ok with even though it goes against my beliefs on the rights of business owners in a theoretical sense.

The Kermit sipping tea picture is a common meme where the typical format is the top line pointing out hypocrisy on the part of the party the meme is targeted at, and the bottom line reading "but that's none of my business." In this case the "but that's none of my business" part is implied by the picture to those previously familiar with the meme.

We both thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, she was the one who suggested we start watching it.

No, you want to monitor the person who is in possssion of the gun, unless you believe that the gun is going to let itself out of the house and go for a stroll on its own without calling to check in on your 1-800-GO-HUNTN hotline first.

Part of me wouldn't be surprised to wake up tomorrow to find out that Trump has announced he has pulled off the best April fools joke in the history of the world and is dropping out of the race.

They thought 'bullet train' was a suggestion, and took it as a reminder to go out to the desert and brush up on their shooting skills.

Manning retired... Indy statue in future
Chandemonium replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming he's cut, what are the chances he wants to keep playing but no team is willing to sign him, or if they are he only gets interest as a backup? -
But after being gone a while without accomplishing anything in the meantime you can apply for CEO of the same company that fired you and expect to get it, right?

Does that ending mean there's gonna be another season?
