Based on all the “don’t do it again” type posts I’m probably in the minority, but I actually think this was one of the safest plays he could’ve made in this specific situation. By the time he chose to leap it looked too late to slide without getting clocked in the face by Barr, and I’d rather see him avoid contact by going over him than try to lower the shoulder.

What actually triggers this rule going into effect? It seems it would have to be based on the offensive formation. Since fake punts and fake field goals are legal plays and there’s no rule against attempting a field goal or punting on first through third down, in theory why couldn’t you line up in field goal or punt formation every down to gain this protection for your long snapper?

I sort of agree with what you’re saying in theory, but was the outcome really in doubt at halftime? IMO they could have pulled him then and still gone back to him next week. It’s not like he was struggling but the D was holding it to a two score game, it was 26-0. I absolutely don’t think they should go back to peterman, but if they do I don’t think it would look any different if they pulled him at half versus waiting til when they did.

I love craft beer, but the bland stuff from the big guys has its place in my fridge too. Craft beer is great for things like enjoying a few beers with or after dinner, hanging with friends, or watching the game. When it’s 100 degrees outside and I’ve been doing yard work for the past several hours, I just want something cold and low alcohol that goes down easy. For that it’s hard to beat one of the old mainstays.

I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that I take off road whenever I get a chance. I do most of the work on it myself, including routine maintenance like fluid and filter changes, brakes, tire rotations, etc. I also have a lift and a few other upgrades, all that I’ve installed myself. I want to regear the differentials once the powertrain warranty is up. That’s an easy job to screw up and requires specialty tools I don’t have, so I’ll have that done by a pro when the time comes.

I get what you're saying, but I'm hoping for the opposite. To me the absolute best case scenario would be Allen wins the job in camp and it isn't close, then goes on to start all 16 games because he is playing well and the team is winning and McCarron/Peterman are the guys who aren't needed.

If he is thinking rationally, yes. If fear of being exposed is clouding his thought process to the point that he is not thinking completely rationally, lashing out is not an unexpected behavior.
