Or who I believe will be Trump’s successor in 2025 Nikki Haley. -
It’s arguably easier to win a championship in the pros as you’re competing against 31 other teams instead of 200 or whatever, and the difference in talent from top programs to bottom in college is greater than in the NFL. Not every good coach is a good recruiter. I would also say that there’s more prestige in Super Bowls than college national championships and being a successful pro coach than a successful college coach since in the pros you’re dealing with the best of the best.

Why do networks insist on using that camera angle for kickoffs? It’s terrible. -

I disagree. While the ability to enforce them is certainly important in making sure your rights are not abused by others, it is not the basis for their existence. This distinction is important because if rights come solely from you ability to enforce them, that leads to a “might makes right” situation where there is moral justification for the strong to prey on the weak, which flies in the face of the concept of rights.

I would posit that everyone has a Creator. The fact that you were created is self evident by your existence. We can debate the form that the Creator takes, whether it be the Judeo-Christian version of God, some other deity, your own parents, random chance, or something else entirely. To me, who or what the Creator is is of little importance in the context of natural rights. The bottom line is the rights are intrinsically yours based on the fact of your existence as a human being.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Has Fallen
Chandemonium replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
When this thread was started before I opened it I wasn’t sure if fallen literally meant fallen or was a euphemism for died. Every time it’s been bumped since, I still half expect to see that news when I open it. -
Which time he broke his leg are you referring to? The first time he broke both the tibia and the fibula, I’m not sure what bones he broke the second time, nor do I recall him mentioning one of them giving him trouble getting right. Of the two lower leg bones the tibia is the larger and bears the weight, while the fibula supports the ankle and keeps it properly aligned.

Should the Train Horn Stay? Or Go?
Chandemonium replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When did the train horn start? I never had seasons, but went to 4-5 games a year before moving out of WNY in 2012, and I don’t recall hearing it then. Now when I watch games on tv or in the handful of games I’ve been able to go to since, I find it distracting and annoying. -

The Trump Shutdown
Chandemonium replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Heck, I think we should be operating in “shutdown” mode all the time. A shutdown only effects non-essential activities, and if it’s not essential, it should be outside the purview of the federal government.
