  1. I, on the other hand, was already boycotting them due to their association with the Patriots*
  2. Or who I believe will be Trump’s successor in 2025 Nikki Haley.
  3. No. That was only a 25 point comeback. The Bills-Oilers wildcard game was 32.
  4. It’s arguably easier to win a championship in the pros as you’re competing against 31 other teams instead of 200 or whatever, and the difference in talent from top programs to bottom in college is greater than in the NFL. Not every good coach is a good recruiter. I would also say that there’s more prestige in Super Bowls than college national championships and being a successful pro coach than a successful college coach since in the pros you’re dealing with the best of the best.
  5. Why do networks insist on using that camera angle for kickoffs? It’s terrible.
  6. If you vote for Warren, you can only be 1023/1024ths racist.
  7. I do, but only when I’m redoing my bathroom cabinets.
  8. I disagree. While the ability to enforce them is certainly important in making sure your rights are not abused by others, it is not the basis for their existence. This distinction is important because if rights come solely from you ability to enforce them, that leads to a “might makes right” situation where there is moral justification for the strong to prey on the weak, which flies in the face of the concept of rights.
  9. I would posit that everyone has a Creator. The fact that you were created is self evident by your existence. We can debate the form that the Creator takes, whether it be the Judeo-Christian version of God, some other deity, your own parents, random chance, or something else entirely. To me, who or what the Creator is is of little importance in the context of natural rights. The bottom line is the rights are intrinsically yours based on the fact of your existence as a human being.
  10. Sounds like the football equivalent of major junior hockey.
  11. When this thread was started before I opened it I wasn’t sure if fallen literally meant fallen or was a euphemism for died. Every time it’s been bumped since, I still half expect to see that news when I open it.
  12. I moved down 6 years ago so last year was my first opportunity. I also went to the preseason game a few years back, 2015 maybe?
  13. I’m in Columbia SC so my local team is the panthers. I’m indifferent to them, other than wishing they were in the AFC so I could see the Bills live locally more than once every 8 years.
  14. Which time he broke his leg are you referring to? The first time he broke both the tibia and the fibula, I’m not sure what bones he broke the second time, nor do I recall him mentioning one of them giving him trouble getting right. Of the two lower leg bones the tibia is the larger and bears the weight, while the fibula supports the ankle and keeps it properly aligned.
  15. Touchdown. Ball was on the line when he was touched.
  16. If he has a season with 5000 total yards and 45 total td’s, I think the split would be more like 4200 yds/35 td’s passing with 800/10 rushing.
  17. I almost threw up when I saw him laying there and realized his foot was pointing the wrong way.
  18. When did the train horn start? I never had seasons, but went to 4-5 games a year before moving out of WNY in 2012, and I don’t recall hearing it then. Now when I watch games on tv or in the handful of games I’ve been able to go to since, I find it distracting and annoying.
  19. Guy brings what basically amounts to 3 pieces of scrap metal to gun buyback, makes $300 https://americangg.net/pipe-guns-buyback-300/?fbclid=IwAR1jz3leNbTfY4zk0wKKNn9IyPxS7uzIKh_jijP5Q9nkLuPgO0_1oEthRik
  20. If household tools are outlawed, only outlaws will have IKEA furniture.
  21. The sad to see him leave comment was about Mills getting ejected, not Kiko.
  22. Making four in a row is the more impressive accomplishment IMO. 52 teams have won the Super Bowl, but only one has gone 4 years in a row.
  23. First time they’ve lost back to back December games since 2002 as well. Let’s make it three in a row next week. It’s too bad we’d have to lose to the dolphins the next week to keep them from winning the division.
  24. Heck, I think we should be operating in “shutdown” mode all the time. A shutdown only effects non-essential activities, and if it’s not essential, it should be outside the purview of the federal government.
