I agree !! It's a make or break year for EJ !! If he can't produce with the weapons they have put around him not to mention a O line that looks to have the potential (if the coaching staff can put it together) to be one of if not the best in the NFL then i think not only EJ but Hacketts jobs could be in jeopardy !! You give these players to sone one like a Jim Harbaugh & company & your contending in year 2 for a deep run in the play offs if not for a super bowl with this kind of talent that Whaley & company has inherited & brought in this year through the means of the draft & FA !!

I think if they would have made the trade to 1 we would have had Clowney . You can't give up all that & go for the second best guy in the draft . They said Clowney is a once in a lifetime kind of player so i say that Sammy was their second choice if they couldn't go to number one & get Clowney but i still dig the move & the pick !! GO BILLS !!!

I think he would have or could have been a great TE … When they said he bulked up & the possibility of him moving to the TE position with the history of the Bills moving players & being successful i was like YAH !! The kid has great hands & size i don't get why he didn't at least get a real chance to try out at that spot . But i emailed Chris Brown & he said he didn't see it happening , so good call i guess ??

OMG a forward thought to use land that is making ZERO revenue & turn it into a tourism destination for final four & possible other huge sporting events to bring back a huge chunk of tax revenue & jobs to the area ... (Typical Western NY thought pattern) NAH IT WILL NEVER WORK but some day some one will come along & use the land for a park !!! Typical Western NY thought pattern … Let's just let it sit generating nothing & then it will get better with time like a good wine !!

I don't know why the talk is out side of the Buffalo area . I was just in town last week & drove down the river to where it meets lake Erie there are a ton of empty abandon buildings all along the route & people are bitching about using that land for a stadium ???? HUH ? Is there any huge plans for developing that land ? NO ! Other than it sitting there vacant & losing vital tax revenue for the next lets say 10 yrs what is the beef about the water front as the site ? A stadium would generate jobs , tax revenue , more permanent jobs & tourism dollars !! People in western NY had better wake up & realize that in order to get you have to give or sacrifice something & if you want to continue to be ONE of 32 cities IN THE ENTIRE WORLD that has a NFL franchise your going to need to pony up something !! And by giving that piece of land that would be used to bring more canadian tourism to B/Lo not to mention revitalize another part of Down town to go along with the construction of the hockey complex that is being built around the first Niagara Center, not to mention the casino, that would make that entire part of the city a happening place . But no let's not take a chance of forward thinking & just leave that land sit vacant & MAYBE some one will come along & want to do something with it in the next 20 yrs or after we are all dead & our beloved Bills are in heaven forbid LA ... There just needs to be a renewed thought pattern to get those in Western NY out of the backwards way of thinking ! Move into the future to keep the Bills & more positive growth back into the area !!

How do they figure we gave up 2 first round picks ? We got him with a first round pick so that was ours that yes we used the #9 to trade up but we still had a first round pick so where i'm sitting it looks like we gave up next years first WHICH IS ONE FIRST ROUND PICK !!! & a fourth ??? What kind of math did the EXPERTS study ??

C J , R. Woods , Kaufman , Moeoki , Chandler , Goodwin , F J The biggest worry i have is not any of the talent that these guys have shown to this point especially the guys that have a proven track record . I am all in on the EJ experiment but i think he is the factor in all of this & why i wanted the Bills to take a late round QB that has a better upside than the 2 incumbents that are on the team . The Bills fan base has all but burned Tuel at the stake for his FIRST NFL start last year & relegated him to the trash heap which i will never get but welcome to Bills nation !! So with that although Thad showed a lot of gun slinger like play last year & he has confidence in his play i don't see him as the guy that can get it done week in & week out if EJ is out for a long period of time . AJ McCarron & others where still there in the 5th round & would have been a steal at that point not to mention the possibility of trade bate like what the Pats are doing with their back up out of Arkansas .

This years line could be the best in the league ! If the kid from Miami works out it could be even better B/c they said his talent is off the chart they just worry about his off the field issues . But i think Whaley & company did fantastic & the play off drought is all but over this year !!

Compared to past drafts i think it was great . I don't get where they said the Watkins pick was to pricey ? He was the highest ranked WR in the draft , some say he can be as good as Megatron (if he has a QB that can get it to him) . So we gave up next years 1st & 4th unless he is a bust it's a hell of a lot better than what we got out of the Maybin pick i'm thinking Then there is the 2 O line pick Kouandjo & Richardson if those guys pan out our O line will be one of if not the best in the league !! Glenn - Richardson - Woods - Urbik - Kouandjo now thats bad to the bone !! I for one wish they would have gotten a QB in the late rounds but understand to a point why they didn't & am just praying that EJ is what they think he is ! If not the team will be in big trouble due to the fact that we don't have a first round choice next year . So bring it EJ !! Plus if you look at what is out there as far as UDFA & what they did in FA the Bills are looking pretty good !!

I don't see how any Bills fan can't like what Whaley is building here , we haven't had this type of movement in the draft since Pollian was here ! You need a GM that isn't afraid to go get the guy he needs to win & then the way he traded Sj to get back some of the picks he gave up great moves !!

There are a lot of them left & i think there will be some left in the late rounds due to there personal situations . If Whaley is as smart of a football guy as it seems he is turning out to be then i think he will be smart enough to realize especially if a top performing QB is sitting there for the taking in a late round & is a value he can't pass up he will grab one as a really good back up plan . Cause let's face it if you try to go on what we saw from EJ last year there's not a lot on that tape that say's "This is Your Guy" !!

Would some one please help me understand the thought process ? After the deal the Bills GM Doug Whaley made yesterday to get what some are calling the 2nd best player in this years draft & most say is the #1 draft prospect at the WR position this year plus that Watkins could be the best WR in the draft since Calvin Johnson (aka; Megatron) , there is a lot of talk weather it be in the fan base or in the media that the Bills paid to high a price ?? From where i'm sitting (and i know you all will tell me if i'm thinking wrongly) We had a first round pick this year , we traded it to the Browns to move up 5 spots so we gained those 5 to get a top 5 guy in the draft . So we still have our higher pick this year , yes we did give up next years 1st & 4th but we could have gained quite possibly a history making player with those 2 picks . If all goes as planned (& i think it will) with another couple good picks our Bills will finally be in the play offs which means our first round pick next year will be much lower let's say in the 20's of the first round which is not bad but it's not great either plus a 4th round pick (but refer to my first paragraph). So we got the guy we wanted for a 1st & a 4th which could quite possibly turn out to be better than our HOF WR Andre Reed . So where is this paid WAY TO MUCH COST ? What was Bruce, Andre, Thurman, & Kelly worth to the Bills ? As long as EJ is THAT QB that the Bills think he is then this is a no brainer (& that has yet to be determined), but i am apparently missing something in the translation which is why i am asking my fellow fans to help me with this interpretation . Not to mention that if there is any possibility of trading say TJ Graham (dead weight) or Hogan for a late round pick ? or possibly doing as has been alluded to in the media trading Stevie for another mid to late round pick & dumping his contract then it makes this deal even better . The only thing that will make this a crappy deal is if Watkins turns out to be Maybin then yes it was way to much to move up & get this guy & stranger things have happened, but i'm thinking a lot of the thoughts of this being to much to give up is B/C it's the Bills ! If this was say Dallas , the Broncos , Philly or The Patriots i'm thinking this would be the smartest move in the draft but B/C the Bills never get any respect this was way to costly a move !! Please help my confusion

There's always gonna be the guys that don't think so !! Just like those that don't think we need a new stadium so let's just sit back & do the least possible till we watch the trucks taking the team to another city ! OR let's go out & grab this thing by the A** & show them what the Bills are made of !!

Screw the pundits or experts as some call them ! Last year they said Cordy Glenn wasn't worth the pick & wasn't good enough to be a LT & look what he's done . So let's just sit back for another 5 years & take the left overs & see where we go from there . Basically we gave up a 1st & a 4th for Sammy , we still had a high 1st this year & we got a great player , and you get what you pay for !! Teams that win championships don't sit around and just take what comes to them you have to gamble once in a while . Whaley & company have just shown the Bills fan base that things have truly changed at the GM level & i'm liking what i've seen so far . Now if they can take some of our players like Hogan, Graham , & maybe even SJ & turn them into some picks no matter where they might be then the Bills will be & are in better hands now .

There was a article that had said that between Whaley & 2 other guys on his staff they had like 7 championships between them & if this is the way they got to those championships i'm all in B/C what we have done in the past sure hasn't gotten us any where !! Plus after what they said about Cordy Glenn & to see what he has done for the Bills o Line to heck with what they all say !!

I'm not sure that they get rid of SJ cause it doesn't make a lot of sense cap wise this year but TJ Grahams future is not looking real bright at the moment . If there is a suitor for either of these guy s SJ or TJ they need to be on the phone with Jacksonville pronto !!!

The commish should step back & tell him to go piss up a rope !! Then he should tell him to take his happy ass to Canada & play for the CFL or stay in the states & play for the arena league cause the NFL don't need you !! One thing that really stuck out in Whaley's interview was when he said "we need a receiver that can play catch not drop" And out of all the TE prospects in the draft even though Ebron is the one mentioned going to the Bills he has the highest percentage of drops per pass attempts to him , even though he has the superior athletic ability and can get open it's 60/40 if he'll catch it . Is that what you want with the game on the line ? I don't !! Every year i get feelings about players & sometimes i'm wrong but i just get a bad vibe about Ebron & i hope the Bills go with some one other than him ...
