Good Article On Chip Kelly & Taking Risk On 4th Down
T master replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you want it you have to go get it & that means taking chances . So let's just take a chance & call Chip Kelly & ask him if he want s to be our coach , all's he can say is no ... Right ??? But it was a great point and to add by going for it how much are you telling your offense that you believe in them ? What kind of a confidence booster is that ? And when you have 2 guys in the back field like we have Why not ?? Plus if you are down around the 20 say 25 or less & you need a score & it has to be more than 3 to go ahead GO FOR IT !! If you don't make it it's the same as kicking it & getting a touch back or running it out with less of a possibility of running it all the way back for a TD . So be a little more aggressive & put the confidence in the people you hired to get the job done & send them the message that you believe in their ability's !!! -

The Bills Future Ownership, Coaching, QB & Otherwise
T master replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
K i got what your saying but you missed my point , with them buying this team it is more attractive to buy it with Weedon , & the RB from Ala . & other people on the team then say a team that was all old veterans like say andre davis that we had that were at the end of their careers . If there is some potential i guess is the right word as far as players it would take less time to get to the point of being a winning franchise , of coarse they will probably change the coaching staff & such & bring in other players but if the team has a good base to work off of (hence taken better care of) it would be more attractive to a prospective buyer ... -
Player changes at One Bills Drive
T master replied to ShipUPride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A move long over due . I give the guy his props for what he has done while here , but any other coach simply based on his past injury history would have let him go long before now given his progress & kept Flo instead. + Gailey still hasn't ruled out in his last interview on BB.com the possibility of Mcgee coming back ? Go figure !! I know Flo got hurt this year & was somewhat of a liability in the secondary , but the guy made some good plays for us , was a veteran that the rookies could look to, & up until this year was pretty much injury free. But hey who are we to second guess a coach & their decisions ??? -
I was reading on ESPN that there are the rumors that John Gruden is thinking of a coaching come back , in the article it said that it would have to be the perfect storm , large market team , high profile , good history etc.. This brought to mind when this would hit the fans of the Bills how we all would react ? We in fact would react like we did before the hiring of Chan Gailey . We need to go after Shanahan , Gruden , Billick , Cowher , well i'm here to tell you that none of those coaches will ever put on a Bills cap on our side line i don't think ,and if it does happen i would be as blown away as i was when we signed Mario this year. If we are to look for the next great coach for the Bills that person will have to be a virtual unknown in the ranks of the NFL , a coach looking to leave his mark on the NFL not some one that has already made their statement . Like the afore mentioned coaches. We would either need to do what Tampa Bay did & look into a good coach from the college ranks or go to the CFL & find a coach with a winning history up there & bring them south of the border , which would only fortify our position in the regionalization of the fan base to the games as Russ Brandon calls it. Which is not all that bad of an idea if it keeps the Bills in B/Lo... If that is what he is in fact trying to do then our best bet would be doing just that , getting a coach from Canada that has some CFL credibility & NFL experience that hasn't as of yet made their MARC on the NFL (which my vote in that category would be Marc Trestman) If you do some research on the guy he is a winner in the great white north , knows the game , has some NFL experience is a younger coach which might bring a more enthusiastic air to the Bills (which is a plus) & is some what a unknown ... I just don't see us getting a former winning NFL coach to come here , i was all for Marty Schotenheimer coming here seeing as he use to play for the Bills , he is like the Bills in the way that, he has never won the big one (underdog of sorts) but that has a very out side Schot (pun intended) at being a Bills coach that could get us above .500 & a good possibility of being a play off caliber team. Along with a unknown coach such as Trestman may come the fact that he knows of some good QB talent that we may not know about ,again from the great white north but would be willing and able to bring in a younger talent from the college ranks or the CFL to add another shot in the arm of the Bills. Which in ending this post would make the Bills a more enticing buy for our future ownership, & hopefully the thought of keeping them in B/Lo with the added influx of northern exposure to the team. Because let's face it when looking into buying something you want it to appear to be taken good care of with the possibilities of some small upgrades you can have something really enticing not only to the new owner but to (in this case) the fans that root for it ..

You say yo can't depend on a bunch of 10 , 12 , & 14 yard plays in a game & think you will win , but if your defense is doing what they are paid to do & stopping the other team from scoring those plays that you make go a long way in winning a game !! I would like to see teams get more into the grind it out type games . You for sure can't tell our Bills team that got beat by the Giants in that first SB we went to that a good ground game is not as useful as the passing game ... One sets up the other , what ever you do more of the opposition is going to set up to stop it if you are successful & it will open up other options of the game . I just think that the entire "it's a passing league" Thing is predicated on that is what the fans want to see , a high scoring game it is more exciting !! But go listen to what Jimmy Johnson says about his time in Dallas it takes balance between the 2 & you have to be more stout on defense if you plan on winning a championship ... So in a nut shell that means we are screwed !!!!

I always liked the guy thought he would have made a good player for us but didn't make the cut but i am happy to see him playing for a NFL team !!
-
Despite being hailed as a bust in the beginning of his time here , despite not being used as much as others think he should be , & despite being on a team that is below .500 he still is a class act for our team . We all could learn a lesson from watching CJ Spiller !! The guy comes in & just does his job , is a team player & IF he does have any problems with the way or how much the coaching staff uses him he doesn't throw any one under the bus .(unlike Bills fans do) If he was with any other team in the same situation i think he would be deemed the starter if for nothing else to keep Fred healthier , longer & just ride CJ & build the offense around him . Which if any of us were making the decisions i think we would do that too . Although Fred is a great RB in his own right , CJ has that extra "it factor" to where at any given time he touches the ball he could bust a big one with his speed . And most offensive coordinators would ride that horse till they couldn't ride it any more & use Fred as the Back to give his young hoss a rest . But despite the fans ragging on him at first (which now every one has jumped on the CJ wagon) & would never admit that they were wrong while deeming him a bust & not being utilized to his potential & still getting the lessor amounts of carries the dude just plays when called on & gives 100% .. Which makes him IMHO a class act for our team !!!

Ralph is mad that the Bills are losing
T master replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You would think so seeing as he has fired winning coaches in the past . And could this come with the thought that Pollian said he is looking forward to getting back into the NFL & he & Ralph may have talked after his induction to the wall of fame at the Ralph ?? Along with Ralph wants to go out with a winning team & Pollian was the only one to bring that with any consistency !! Just throwing it out there !! -
I get you but that doesn't help me with his more than little ego . If thats a little ego i would hate to see a large one !! Plus i have worked in his place & he is a TOTAL JACK ASS !! But i did like what he did this week end !!
-
They are probably afraid that if they put him on the field that he might show up the others that have only been have way showing up that make a lot more money than Merriman - if you know what i mean ?? I don't get the logic behind keeping these guys around & not using them Mcgee , Potter , Merriman & Others .. I truly think Merriman was brought back soaley to be there until Anderson comes back then they will cut him again but don't want to take the chance of him being on the field to warrant keeping him around so the fans can see another mistake they made by letting him go & bringing in another player to do the same job for more money !!!
-
You know i think the team i hate more than any other in the league is the Dallas Cowboys , & i never use to until the ego (Jerry Jones) came to town !! But i saw something this past week which i had to say "you go JJ" !! After the game Jones was pissed !! Pissed that he is spending all this money & getting mostly nothing more than a losing effort in return for it . I saw where he , after the game went to go into the locker room & the door was being held shut or locked & he pounded on the door repeatedly until they let him in & the reporter said you could tell he was more mad than they had ever seen him . That being said the reporter again said they waited a while before they were let in to ask their after game questions & he believed that Jerry went in there & chewed on some ass for a little bit before the media was allowed to come in . Again i say " you go JJ" !! When will we get to the point here where some one in the FO gets pissed & let's these guys know that this is total BS !! Gailey talks about players needing to be accountable to each other well when the hell are the players held accountable by the boss ? Weather it be , Gailey , Nix , We can't expect that from Ralph that would definitely kill him ---- alright i know what your thinking so knock it off !!!! But i just don't see these coaches getting pissed . Do you think Cower or Harbaugh (either one) would be this calm ?? Aw hell to the NO !!! OK i agree that the player need to be held accountable by each other but the men that brought these guys here & are responsible for giving them a pay check should dam sure have some kind of say about it & should be some what embarrassed enough to get in somebodies rear end for a little motivation besides the players ... So this will be the last time you ever here me say this but WAY TO GO JJ motivate your boys !! Man did that hurt !!!!! GO BILLS !!!
-
We definitely need to take some people away from this team , as the poster after you said "addition by subtraction" I totally agree !! T . Mcgee , A . Williams , Potter , & who ever else is sitting on this roster with no intentions or very little intentions of being used this season . We can't afford to have guys taking up roster spots that could be better used to bring in say a Andre Carter type player that was cut from the Pats that has had 3 years of double digit sacks that could be adding to this team . Even if Anderson might be coming back this season , at least Carter has more then one good year of production !! It seems as though they have a plan and by god they are sticking to it .. Well if it ain't broke don't fix it but this sh*t is broke so start doing something that warrants these folks being called football people or Head Coach ..
-
Well then you had better put in a memo to Nix b/c last year the guy i was hoping for was Kuechly & if Nix & company aren't willing to take a chance & put a trade together to move up the same thing will happen next year that happened this year . When it comes to our pick the best players will be gone & we will have to take the next best player available . Which i think Gilmore is going to be a good player for us but Kuechly would have been a higher impact player quicker , have you heard the rap on him in Carolina ?? He's is a football player !! So unless we are willing to take chances in the draft that warrant getting a really good player we must relegate our selves to getting the left overs !! Can you imagine if we would have jumped 2 years ago & taken The LB that went to Denver & then done the same to get Kuechly ?? We wouldn't be having these talks on how bad our D sucks this year !!!
-
Maybe he can bring Greggo back with him !!!

I think we see TJ in next week

Hey show the Fitz to T.O. pass it's the longest in Bills history 98 yds . It doesn't count that Fitz hit him like with in 30 yds then T.O. ran the other 60 does it ?? AH the good ole days !!! -
WHat about the kid at Clemson this year --- heck i can't even remember his name but i do know that before the game yesterday they were 7 & 1 & the kid has scored some rediculous amount of TD's Something like 56 - 42 in the air & 10 on the ground , not to shabby !!

Then start rooting for the fins & make the relocation complete If you hate it that bad !! -
BUFFALO - For Real This is a great video about Buffalo & at one point you can see a guy wearing a Bills hat & it would be cool to see a brand new stadium in one of the shots of the lake. Check it out & see just how much there is to do in Buffalo & learn a bit about the cities history. You would think this should make the city want to keep the Bills up to date with a stadium to keep them viable in the NFL . Because if you think of it there are only 32 cities that have the NFL in them & you would think that they would do almost any thing to keep our team home where it has always been .. Buffalo --- Go Bills !!!

kansas city...unthinkable stat through 8 games...
T master replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya & Dwayne Bowe isn't helping anything either , i hope his play has opened up the eyes of the Bills fans that have wanted him to come hear & help ---- ah ---- ah ---- what ever it was they wanted him to help our team to do ??? No matter how bad it is some one else has it a little worse -- unless of coarse you are the Chiefs !!! Are you watching the same Dwayne Bowe that i was watching the other night ? mediocre at best !!! -
You forgot one which i thought we should have given an interview but didn't Marc Trestman !!!! He'd be a great one if that was the way we go !!!
-
Well it is all approved out in L.A. the only thing that is missing is an NFL team to fill the stadium after it is built .. With the unanimous approval by the L.A. city counsel that means while we do as our D coordinator for the Bills does & hold our coarse meaning sticking with the $200 million dollar upgrades to the Ralph instead of seriously looking into the investors that are wiling to foot 70% of the bill for a new stadium some where in Buffalo . We will eventually be just like our D with a 32nd ranking in the league , all the fans so pissed they could care if the Bills stay or go (until their gone) & wondering why they went as they pack the trucks in the middle of the night to greener & more prosperous pastures !! But hey after all why should we good forward every one here is happy with just staying in the rut we have been in , well at least Ralph & company must be . So let's all just get ready for the inevitable b/c the ball is starting to roll & once it starts if there is no resistance to push back to keep our team home it will just continue to gain momentum & by the time Brandon & company has a clue it will be to late !! So if you know any one in high places tell them to get off there good intentions & get a groove looking toward the future before all of our bi**hing will be because we no longer have a team to Bi**h about !!

Here we go! Another big city wants an NFL team.
T master replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know that is a bunch of crap , the NFL is a American sport & thats where it should stay !! It ain't bad enough that the fans & the franchise have to lose a game & it's revenue a year but now they want to put a team over there no thanks !! I am almost to the point of the NFL getting to far out of hand with the entire greed thing right here in the US . If you don't have a Billion + dollar stadium your in danger of being ousted . If you don't spend all you have for players & more you are considered cheap .. it's all about the money & when it goes so far to have a team called the London Bobbies I'll be done with it , but the NFL won't care !!
