  1. Ya but what worries me is what did he do with a mediocre QB in sexy Rexy --- NOTHIN sure when you have a exceptional talent at QB it makes every body look a lot better but it's what happens when that guy goes down & you have a guy like Fitz that comes in . Maybe if he was to bring their second string guy with him that knows his scheme but to bring him in when we don't have a talented QB I'm not real sure how that would work. I still think Marc Trestman should be considered or at least talked to so he can say YA or Na. The guy is a proven winner & is a great QB coach & teacher which is what we need especially if we get a young QB for the future !!
  2. If it is his last game in San Diego bring him back to B/Lo we need another GOOD LB he could teach our younger guys how to do it . It sure looks like he has the fire ...
  3. According to what he told BB.com " on a scale from 1 to 10 if he would like to stay with the Bills he said a 10, great city, great team & wants to stick around to finish what they started" GET ER DONE !!!
  4. I just hope they have a more extensive search this time & don't ump to quickly to replace Gailey. They need to exhaust all the candidates out there & find the best fit for the talent we have instead of trying to rework what we have got . Lovie Smith said he was interested because of the players we have & how they could work well with in the scheme that he uses, that is the way to go about thing not getting a coach that wants to totally change the direction of the team by changing the players to their liking. A couple maybe but not the entire deal .
  5. Fitz needs to rework his contract that is the only way we keep him here , he will cost our cap something like 10.45 Million next year & he's just not worth that to keep around as a back up or a stop gap !!
  6. With all of the talk this past year that CJ was to small to handle the load of 30 + carries which coach Gailey seemingly thought by not running him as the first back while Fred was healthy & playing. I looked at my Thurman Thomas rookie card he measures 5' 10 " tall & 198 lbs when he came into the league & his YPC avg was 4.9 & is now known to be one of if not the best all purpose backs the Bills have had & is in the HOF for his accomplishments while with the Bills. Then i looked up CJ on the Bills roster 5' 11" tall 200 lbs not a lot bigger but still bigger than Thurman & his YPG avg at one point this year was 7.1 ypc & wound up over 6 for the year. This guy is going to be very special !! I just hope we can keep him here . OH & for all you Bills fans that were on the CJ is a bust band wagon, in the words of a famous country singer HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW ?? I just love it when players make some people eat their words !! If CJ would have had more carries this year he would have been higher in the top backs of the league than where he wound up maybe right up there with A P ...
  7. Glennon didn't do to awful good in his bowl game 5 INT's , Geno Smith can't play in bad weather, Nassib did win is bowl game but from what i saw on youtube he didn't do much for me ... Clemsons Taj Boyd though played one heck of a game against SEC's LSU & was clutch at the end of the game when it counted & pulled out the win. Not only did he throw for over 300 yds but ran for like 100 or some crazy number they said he ran it 33 times !! Thats nuts . Just don't know if he is coming out this year . Barkley, Smith, Glennon, & L. Jones scare me This year QB class is NOT that good !! Tyler Wilson has a bunch of experience in the SEC is a senior & has good skills i'd like to see what he can do ...
  8. I'll second that !!!!
  9. You need to study his history in the NFL & the connections he has had the guy is perfect for what we need here. He was a volunteer coach on the Miami team when Kelly was there. He & Marv Levy bot coached the Alouettes to 2 Grey Cup Championships , his being 2 consecutive. He was in San Fran & a QB coach for Steve Young was there & worked under George Seifert , he was the QB coach in Detroit when Scott Mitchell had his best year as a QB, the guy is a great coach i just hope that the Bills at least talk to the guy this time. Plus he is well respected around the NFL by coaches & players alike , Teabow & Brandon Weedon looked him up when entering the NFL to help him with their throwing mechanics the guy is Money !! He has won championships in the CFL but has yet to have a HCing job in the NFL this would be the perfect time for him to make his Marc in the NFL as a HC . Check out his Wiki page & pull up some of the articles on the guy i think all will take a liking to this guy !!
  10. Arians Yes , Trestman Yes, M. Schottenheimer Yes !!! Take your pick
  11. Marc Trestman or Marty Schottenheimer "GET ER DONE"
  12. This is not a good year to take a QB early in the draft that would have been better last year . If we are going to make a move up for any one it needs to be a sure fire good player which Teo is about the only one i can see . Qb's this year are a reach Geno Smith can't play in bad weather so pass on him Barkley is another USC night mare, Jones ah i just don't think so, Wilson is the only one that has been around long enough but i don't know about him either . Next year would be a much better year to go after a franchise guy , get a decent stop gap QB then pull the trigger after next season ...
  13. Agree with some disagree with some. Carrington was drafted as a 4/3 DE but has done what OUR COACHING STAFF has wanted, bulked up & played DT & done very well as you have pointed out i just wonder what might be if he was to go back to his original weight & play his original position ? I wouldn't mind seeing in preseason what Merriman might do at OLB if it turns out bad put him at DE again (don't know unless you try) I know the entire 4/3 - 3/4 thing but a football player is a football player. What it comes down to is CHEMISTRY !! Really good teams find it between Coaches, Scheme, & Players. If you look at what Harbaugh has done with the talent he inherited compared to what the previous staff did with basically the same players a few were added but basically the same it is amazing what a change in coaching philosophy can make. Which i agree with you is one change that needs too be made... Along with our QB but as you also pointed out this year is not the year to do that in the draft b/c there are a bunch of misses in this draft at QB & that would be just our luck to pick one high in the draft !!
  14. Exactly which bad personnel moves is it that you speak of ? Brought in via draft : CJ, Dareus, Gilmore, Brooks, C. Glenn, C Hairiston, Z. Sanders. Resigned F. Jackson, K. Williams, Stevie J, B. Scott, Signed FA : K. Urbik, E. Pears, S. Chandler, Rhinehardt, M. Williams, Anderson, Merriman, K. Moore. If he can resign Byrd, Levetrie, Mckelvin, i'd say he's doing pretty good unless you can point out a lot of other bad moves he's made. Bad moves: T. Jackson for V. Young, Thigpen, Fitz contract, B. Smith contract, maybe Kelsay contract but good leader & depth player, A.Williams but could be salvaged if moved to safety
  15. Just heard on ESPN that Smith struggled in bad weather meaning, SNOW - WIND - I'LL PASS ON THIS GUY JUST SAY NO !!!!!
  16. Well don't look at his high lights on you tube because it didn't show me anything at all !!! Don't get the hype that everyone is so high on this guy except that he may be a home town guy playing for Syracuse . Barkley is another one i hope we stay away from that guy but if we go with what has happened in the past because the "EXPERTS" say he is good we will move all of our draft picks to get him & he will be another Jamarcus Russel ...
  17. To all Bills fans none of us can argue ( that use common sense) that the greatest Bills coach of all time is Marv Levy . Although he made it to the SB 4 times & didn't win changes nothing for me any way, that feat will never be done again i don't believe. In all of the Bills mediocrity i have been a staunch proponent of one perfect fit for a future HC for our team. I for one cannot see why he hasn't been in the conversation to this point at all ? The comparisons of Levy & this guy i will talk about are uncanny to say the least.. They both started out in college as coach or coaching volunteers. They both were NFL coordinators. Both coached or had a in depth relationship with Bill Walsh. Both had Jim Kelly as QB of there teams. Both coached the Montreal Alouettes to 2 Grey Cup Championships (one 2 consecutive) Both have similar philosophy's about coaching, high character players & QB's one being a highly respected QB coach This coach i compare to our own Levy if you haven't guessed by now is Marc Trestman which has recently passed Levy's winning percentage in the CFL . With our team being in the lower echelon of the NFL it would be hard to get a high profile coach such as Gruden , Cowher, Reid to take on the Bills as a project let alone to stay long enough to make us a winner with out paying a kings ransom to do so. I think Trestman is the absolute perfect person for the job because he hasn't been a HC in the NFL as of yet but has the familiarity with the league & the respect of the coaches he has worked with in the NFL. He has a great history of coaching winning QB's & winning as a coach although it is in the CFL, but that will be a plus for the Bills as far as not paying a kings ransom, he would be able to prove himself to be a great NFL coach the next step in his progression as a coach in a higher profile league. And he is new blood in the head coaching tree in the NFL. Last he has played in the cold & his kids are grown & it wouldn't be a huge thing for him to be able or willing to come to Buffalo. I don't know about the rest of you Bills fans but there is enough here & if you do some of your own digging on this guy i think it would only further make you a Billeiver that he would be perfect to stand along the sideline at the Ralph & lead our team to victory !!!
  18. I read something on this & i think you got it wrong we save 10.45 mill if we cut him before the beginning of the league year & that won't go against the cap as long as he is cut before that ...
  19. There would be a lot more money to go around if it wasn't spent on the Yankees , Mets & Nets stadiums ... Good thing we got there before the Rangers , Islanders , & Knicks had to have a new place to play but there again that would be OK b/c the money would be being dumped into the black hole Oh i'm sorry thats not politically correct NYC AHH Thats better !! Go Bills get what you can while you can !!!!

  21. No matter where you are it's the same, being a Bills fan is usually the butt end of most jokes . After the Giants SB win i heard this - did you here about the Bills kicker he tried to kill himself but he couldn't kick the chair out from under him self . Ya it's tough but there is nothing like being a Bills fan. All we can hope for is that Buddy sees what is obvious & finds a new coach & that one day we get that coach that get's it, brings in a staff from the draft nicks to the ST coach to even the ball boy ..
  22. So next week we have the last game of the year in the AFC east to see just which team sucks the best or worst which ever play on words you would like to use . After the past couple of weeks for the Bills & the Jets the only thing that would be par for the season is if they ended up in a tie, but then the Jets would still have the tie breaker . So which team do you think will win the suckiest team of the 2012 AFC east ?? Or does it really matter . Who do you think will be the first to fire the coach ? If the Bills finish with a lower record than last year Chan shouldn't be allowed the rest of the day as the HC he should be fired as he walks off the field , heck if he does lose the game he should hand in his resignation as he leaves the field !! I hope we lose out for a chance at a higher draft pick now !! It's pretty bad when you can't even over come a D. Jauron win lose record & you look back at those times as the good ole days !! Go Bills !!!
  23. One thing i did get out of it is - #1sens fans IS A COMPLETE ASS BAG & SHOULD BE BAN FROM USING ANY MEDIA THAT HAS ANY MORAL COMPASS WHAT SO EVER THIS GUT IS A SCUMBAG & I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT !! READ HIS REPLY ON THAT TWITTER FEED WHAT A JACK ASS !!
  24. This is a piece of a article i have read & after reading it what do you think a good coach & franchise would do given the out put of Fitz ? Sure he is a hard worker , a buffalo type of player but not the type of out put we need to be a winning team ... Starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick might be playing his final two games in a Buffalo Bills uniform. According to the details of Fitzpatrick's $59 million contract extension, the Bills are in prime position to get out of this agreement after another inconsistent season. We have learned Buffalo will save $4.45 million in cap space and $7.45 million in actual cash by cutting Fitzpatrick this offseason. Fitzpatrick is due a base salary of $4.25 million and an easy-to-obtain workout bonus of $200,000 in 2013. However, the biggest litmus test will be a $3 million roster bonus Fitzpatrick is owed in March on the second day of the league year. If the Bills pay the bonus, Fitzpatrick's cap number jumps to $10.45 million next season, which would be suitable for a franchise quarterback. Fitzpatrick is 18-30 as a starter in Buffalo and has the third most turnovers in the NFL since 2011. The Bills (5-9) must seriously consider this offseason whether he's the long-term solution. Buffalo already paid Fitzpatrick $21.25 million since signing him to an extension in October 2011. That included a $10 million signing bonus last year and a $5 million option bonus this year. Bills general manager Buddy Nix publicly discussed upgrading the quarterback position several times in recent weeks. He does not sound like a general manager willing to stick with Fitzpatrick as his starting quarterback for $7.45 million next season.
