  1. Tyler Wilson , Tyler Bray or Taj Boyd !! 3 best in the draft ...
  2. I just haven't seen enough of this guy, if we can get Fitz to restructure his contract do to not living up to expectations or cut him then we could go for QB that has proven himself in the NFL through FA . Say - A. Smith, Matt Moore, Cousins, V Young, Flynn, Vick there are a lot of possibilities out there, bring in a Nassib or my personal favorite Taj Boyd or Tyler Wilson or Bray (of which think all have a higher upside than Nassib) in a later round & let them compete in preseason & OTA's a bit & bring him along with the new offensive system. Set him free in is second year when they have a better grasp on the O !!
  3. Talk about bringing some intensity to our D & the team this guy was off the charts as a player & has brought that to the LB corp of the Packers. He has had great success as a player, knows defense, does everything with intensity & has done a good job as a assistant coach, so lets see what he could bring to a entire defense. Besides we are giving Marone a chance let's really shake things up !! You never know Green could be the next Dick Lebeau, the new D coordinator of the future !!
  4. Bring back Dehaven at ST , Kevin Green as D coordinator , Frank Reich said something to the effect of wanting to be a coach here so his last deal was WR coach, then David Lee for QB's coach, Metzellars for TE's, Singletary for LB coach .. From there it is up to you all I can't think of any other coaching positions or there George Castovalos was a pretty good DB coach wasn't he ?
  5. I just hope it shows up on the field, i don't know how to react, I think our QB will be this Nassib guy yet i don't think he is the best out there this year , Taj Boyd is my pick . This has Brandon all over it ...
  6. Well it looks like we have our guy & let me say before i dive into my sarcasm laced post i hope that he may be the one that has something we don't know about in the line of coaching & make us relevant again, but i along with a lot of others have only heard his name since the Bills were looking for a HC. With the likes of Arians, Trestman, Lovie & possible others (K.Gilbride, P. Fewell) out there with some championship pedigree in their history we take a guy that at best has a .500 history & a total of 10 years coaching experience between NFL & College ?? ANd it only took us a week to find him. Things are looking up !! Through doing a exhaustive search (per Russ Brandon) for a HC, this time it took less than a full week in the interviewing process, unlike last time & this time we have a guy that is a virtual unknown in the world of NFL coaching, I just hope it takes him less than 4 years to get us to .500 ! I pose this question - If we are going to change the franchise from what it has been the past 13 seasons then why weren't there more coaches with a championship history interviewed, and why were there only what 5 guys interviewed EXHAUSTIVE - PLEASE maybe for Buddy... Chicago fired a coach that had a above .500 record & championships in his time there & are interviewing Marc Trestman a guy that has won multiple championships, the Browns are going after a HC (although he is college) with a 45 - 7 record over the last 4 years, KC goes after a guy that has championship & playoff history in his resume, these guys will change their teams if & when hired. That is futuristic thinking . The Bills settle for a guy with a .500 WP to hang his hat on & 10 yrs or less in the coaching ranks O.K. 2 bowl appearances. Can you guess who we will draft as our QB this year in the draft ?? So how much have things really changed in B/Lo ? I know baby steps !!
  7. Well for what it's worth here we go again . With all the coaching candidates out there we go less than 1 week & have our man of the future, the only thing we can hope for is that he is a guy that has hidden talents when it comes to the NFL. 6 years of total NFL experience as a assistant, 1 HC position that has brought a team from down under to a respectable 500 in 4 years wow that's something to look forward to ... With others out there like Arians , Trestman , Lovie that have proven records of winning divisional, & championships rounds with teams we get a guy that at his best has went 500 . That is setting our goals high isn't it ya i know baby steps ...
  8. Well at least someone is doing their homework , maybe this will get the Bills FO to also take a look north seeing as they do play a canadian series once a year . HELLO B/Lo !! Is this guy that big of a secret ? I can't believe that our team being the only team for the last 4 or 5 seasons haven't looked closer into the CFL , with the Flutie connection & Trestman being one of Jim Kelly's volunteer coaches. Maybe this will wake them up to the fact . It's not like the gut is a complete stranger to the NFL & if you look further into him he has coached some pretty impressive QB's while in the NFL. The Chicago Bears will interview Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman, two people informed of the Bears plans told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Trestman had 17 years of NFL experience when he took the Montreal job before the 2008 season. The Alouettes advanced to three title games and won two championships under Trestman. He coached a variety of offensive positions with the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and was the Oakland Raiders' offensive coordinator from 2001-03. Lets Go BILLS hope your paying attention Mr. Brandon let's get a winner in here ...
  9. To be honest no i didn't b/c every time the reference was made to the K/Gun offense they would show Jim Kelly not Keith Mckellar & seeing as with out Kelly there would have been no offense even remotely the same as it was i'll stick with Kelly as the k in K/Gun . But if that only works for my personal world you can feel free to tell me where it did come from it doesn't mean that it will work in my world ..
  10. Ya the only difference between the 2 is DALTON TOOK HIS TEAM TO THE PLAY OFFS IN HIS FIRST 2 YEARS !! WHERE'S FITZ AT ???
  11. Although i say i agree entirely with the first part of your post I have a difference in the second part , not so much a difference but a lack of proof in what i have & have not seen . Nassib i'm not real sure of , although he won his bowl game which i didn't see i saw some youtube stuff that didn't impress me much, On the other hand though i did see Taj Boyd & think he would be a perfect fit here in the Queen city !!
  12. Last time we jumped pretty quick that's why i tend to side with this poster . Last time too they only did a hand full of interviews & left some possibles on the table . This time let's see all we can before we jump . I will say that if a guy like a Chip Kelly comes along & shows any interest than GET ER DONE ASAP because guys like him don't come along every day , but as i read in another article all of the other coaches will lack the same thing if hired a good NFL QB .. So continue looking Bills & bring us the BEST winner available !!!
  13. As long as the new coach uses them & doesn't keep them inactive all season hey i'm for it , but if they get these players & they sit what's the sense ??? Seeing as there are no clear cut #1's at QB this year i say blow the bank on Teo !! That would be a great start !!!
  14. All of us know we are in the midst of looking for a HC, but while all of this has been going on i have been Schek to the Future with the process. If any of you go to NFL.com hen you will recognize the reference in the previous sentence to a skit that they do there by Dave Damaschek & i was going to put my own twist to it . If the Bills could pull of another miracle signing like i thought they did with Mario this year & get Kelly to come to B/Lo would this be considered the second coming of the K Gun offense ? I think it might . Think of the similarities the main difference that (here's the twist) Kelly this time would be on the sideline instead of at QB. The uptempo no huddle style offense back in B/Lo would that be a Schek to the future or what . I have had dreams of seeing defenses on the field huffing & puffing while the Bills once again ride their high powered no huddle offense down the field once again sending fear though out the league of having to come up against it 20 yrs later. man would that be awesome or what ? I thought we never had a chance to bring Mario in, which i now think we have no chance with C.Kelly but just imagine if you will the media & the pictures of Chip & Jim on the cover of SI or ESPN & Boomer would have a major melt down & would probably retire if he could once again have SF 49er's & the Bills going to the SB . But this time we win . Go Bills !! WOW Wouldn't a second coming of the K gun be great ... Well i can dream can't i ???
  15. What i was meaning in my post was that of all the QB's listed this year with a good QB coach & staff, add in Boyds intangibles or what ever you call it given what we all saw he would be a better prospect for the Bills b/c of what i listed in my post. Sure he's not a Andrew Luck or RG3 but we could draft a whole lot worse !! Given what is out there !!
  16. Yes Freddy is a great team guy proven by his comments that he wants to stay even if it means being a back up & a leader that leaves it all on the field every play ! Now when you get to Fitz he definitely needs to restructure his contract if he wants to stay around. His contract was a front office mistake from the get go ! They should have at least waited till the end of the season to do him as 20/ 20 vision looking back has proved ! But Freddy is a keeper worth the $ !!
  17. Every year if you listen to the EXPERTS they give their take on the best that are coming out in the next draft class & in a lot of what they say i wonder how you can be this supposed EXPERT on football & see what they see. Last year they all said Wilson was not a "PROTOTYPICAL NFL QB" which i get it . He's not 6' 4" & 240 to that i say SO WHAT ! They said he would never be an elite QB which if i remember correctly there is a post somewhere on this site stating the same thing. So much for that analogy !! And Brees might have something to say about that too. This year there again the EXPERTS have put out a list of their top 5 QB's coming into this years draft. This may be a top 5 college QB list but i don't believe it to be a top 5 NFL list !! Here they are. 1) Geno Smith - great QB to play in Miami or San Diego showed nothing in bad weather ! Forget B/LO ! 2) Matt Barkley - What if anything has the past 3 QB's from USC done for you lately ? For me NOTHING ! 3) Mike Glennon - Besides being a PROTOTYPICAL NFL QB he has not shown anything but a big arm & the ability to make bad decisions in a big game or a regular game for all that matters. A Project QB to say the least... 4)Tyler Wilson - Admittedly didn't take the next step mired in the Petrino scandal. But if you use the Parcells NFL QB requirement list he with his decent college career could be considered a top 5 prospect this year given what's out there. 5) E.J. Manuel - Don't know much about this guy all's i saw was his bowl game, need i say more ? His play must have been better to get them to a bowl game but i wouldn't know. The others mentioned after these guys some i can't really say. Nassib i know won his bowl game by embarrassing Geno Smith & crew which is another knock against Smith in my view, but have not seen on any youtube stuff on the kid what all the talk is about. Did see some mediocre play on youtube though. This guy is a top NFL QB in my eyes, of coarse i have glasses but that's beyond, behind or beside the point which ever way you see it... My guy the one that i am hanging my hat on IF he comes out this year is Taj Boyd ! He proved in his bowl game what he is made of ! Tougher than nails can take a hit, never quits till it's over, great play in the clutch when it counts, very mobile able to keep play alive & can get yards on his own when a play breaks down, Good arm strength can make all the throws good accuracy, & by his performance alone leads by example. The Bills best QB choice !! Then the thought of a all Clemson back field with him & CJ back there. D coordinators would have night mares over that duo ! Bring in Boyds WR too and you have the compliment to SJ we need scary !! Blast away Bills fans !!
  18. NO NO & NO Romo is a lot better than what we have but to give up a #1 that's just foolish . My opinion which ain't worth a bunch but you asked !!
  19. Grimm already said no last time around why bother ? Just move on !!!
  20. That's exactly why we need a coach with a history of winning, not getting to 500 !!!
  21. What was his win /loss record ? Why was he fired ? Has he won a championship at any level ? We know he's been around & has the respect of others in the league but the Pittsburgh coaching tree to this point hasn't produced a hell of a lot. Not just in B/Lo's case but really any where... Please correct me if i'm wrong because it won't be the first ! & for sure won't be the last !!! I just hope they don't jump too quick, there are a lot of coaches out there that have a better championship pedigree or upside as they call it in the NFL than others & thats what we need not someone that can get us to 500. I have & will keep throwing Marc Trestmans name out there. The guy is a winner & has proven it !! At least talk to the guy & give him the chance to say no.. Dang !!
  22. I just hope they do as Brandon said they would do "a exhaustive search to find the right guy for the job". Don't go with the first one or 2 guys you interview look at a bunch of them unless a guy with a Bellechek resume comes along then jump on the hire. Don't grab a guy right off the bat that has been fired because he didn't live up to the winning standard expected in the NFL that's just plain crazy, we have already been down that road. Get a guy that has shown he can win more than just that one season like DJ did. Bring in a guy that has championships under his belt . Bring in Marc Trestman !! For goodness sakes what does it take to just talk to the guy ? He has 2 consecutive Grey Cup Championships what more do you need to know & we can't even give the guy a call ?? Thats OK just get Wisenhunt or one of the others that were fired that will work ...
  23. Taj Boyd proved a lot by his throwing when the game was on the line beating a strong SEC team & he made the throws in crunch time when it counted & brought his team back even after LSU was romping on them, not to mention he ran it over 30 times in the game ...
