T master replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do you teach him to play in bad weather ?? Don't know ---me either i'll pass !! -
Ya but he still has shown nothing in the way of what Luck or RG3 has , & the risk far out ways the reward !!

What should the Bills do at #8?

I watched Nassib against USC & he did nothing for me, i don't know how many top defenses he played against but on my personal impression scale he didn't score real high. Taj Boyd, is staying for his senior season which he was my pick but i think he made a good move, Barkley is well another USC QB & given the history i don't want to go there !! Geno Smith hopefully will be gone way before our pick Jones didn't show up for some important games & we already have one of those. I would rather see us wait till a later round if possible go for a T. Wilson or T. Bray. They both have as big an arm as Nassib but showed better to me when it counted . But we do need a QB & seeing as we have Nassibs HC & OC it's pretty much a given where we will go ... -
Last year we put Wanny in place b/c of his resume thinking he could turn our D around to be top flight , added Mario via FA & we all know where that went . Enter our new coach & a D coordinator that has had a top ten D the last 4 years while working for the NYJ, the only thing is is that from what i read he was a 3/4 guy which does that mean we will be going back to that this year ? Which that is a big question but what i was really wondering about was i have read a post about weather or not to bring back Merriman ? Seeing as he was a 3/4 LB & given the fact that MArio played a LB in the 3/4 scheme they ran in Houston it has been asked if Mario would go back to that position in Pettines D or would he change it to better fit the people he has on the roster & stay with a 4/3 base D ? My thing is i guess if your line looked like this K. Williams - M. Dareus - A. Carrington for our front 3 could we use effectively M. WIlliams - K. Sheppard - Barnett - S. Merriman as our LB corp in what ever configuration they fit to their strengths & would that work with the players we have ? We hopefully have a healthy T. Troup coming back which between Dareus 331 lbs & Troup 327 lbs may be able to do a good job at NT if this is the a way that they would go. I can't see Pettine completely going away from what he has been successful at & don't want him to if he can put our D in the top ten. The year Mario got hurt while playing at the LB position he had 5 sacks in 5 games so it's not like he can't be effective the thing is keeping him happy with what he is doing, it was said that while in Houston & moved to the LB position he was not happy & would play at times with less than full effort. Just something else to talk about amongst us Bills fans ...

Bills hire Nathaniel Hackett for Offensive Coordinator
T master replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He cut his teeth literally on the K/gun offense that could be exciting if he implements it in this system & he had to learn something from his dad, kind of like Byrd did . Which if he has we could be in for a good ride !! -
Appreciate you but i had read the information wrong & over looked some things . Hey it ain't the first time & it sure won't be the last !!! But it has generated a bunch of conversation . After our spat i went back & read over every thing & dude was right i was talking out the wrong side of my face. Lesson learned ...

Bills hire Nathaniel Hackett for Offensive Coordinator

If any of this is true then we can probably expect to have Nassib as our new QB .. -
Why would i read anything about the NYJ they suck as bad as we did this year, the only difference is well there really is none but i know what i read , the article by James Walker it saying which i took this from his article so go argue with him i'm just stating what he wrote. If the Bills pay the bonus, Fitzpatrick's cap number jumps to $10.45 million next season, which would be suitable for a franchise quarterback.

AMEN !
-
Read the last sentence of the article & comprehend what it says !! I did !! You can do it trust me it's not that hard i promise ... It says "if the Bills pay the bonus which is $3 mill the second day of the league year Fizpatricks cap hit will then jump to 10.45 mill" not a direct quote but close enough to clear up this argument !!
-
I get what your saying about the actual cash thing but the last sentence reads & i quote "If the Bills pay the bonus, Fitzpatricks cap number jumps to $10.45 million which would be suitable for a franchise QB" So what does that mean ? I know i'm not the smartest guy in the world but that pretty much lays it out doesn't it ???
-
What the H are you talking about i just read the article on ESPN & went back & found another aricle confirming what i posted, that it will be more if he is given his bonus. Why don't you read something anything or do some research before you take to writting something that you don't have a clue about or at least post what ever it is your talking about for all to see then i'll shut up but till then post on oh master of nonesense !! Exactly 10.45 mill towards the cap tell that to the guy that posted before you ny33 that tryed to tell me i need to do research before i post, i think he should practice what he preaches !!

Here you go from ESPN more than a half a Mill $ ESPN.com's AFC East blog has learned Buffalo will save $4.45 million in cap space and $7.45 million in actual cash by cutting Fitzpatrick this offseason. Fitzpatrick is due a base salary of $4.25 million and an easy-to-obtain workout bonus of $200,000 in 2013. However, the biggest litmus test will be a $3 million roster bonus Fitzpatrick is owed in March on the second day of the league year. If the Bills pay the bonus, Fitzpatrick's cap number jumps to $10.45 million next season, which would be suitable for a franchise quarterback.

"Defense wins championships" ! It's been proven over & over again. Seeing as there are no REAL franchise QB's in this years draft i think we spend our first round pick on D being a LB or a WR if that would be the BPA at our pick. Just b/c we need a QB i can't justifying reaching for one at our pick if their skill set doesn't match what we need or the risk out weighs the reward. Because knowing our luck we would get Barkley & he would wind up being another USC QB & we would be behind the 8 ball for the next 5 years like the Jets !!

Dr Andrews/Mike Shanahan at odds over RGIII injury
T master replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was in the CFL & would have been if we wouldn't have pulled him in that playoff game. He was so pissed why would he want to stick around ? If he would've stayed in that game we would have won went on in the play offs , he would have came back along with Phillips taken us to the play offs again & more than likely finished his career in B/Lo This message sponsered by Dave Damesheck or how ever you spell it ... -
Reading a article on ESPN i saw that the Bills have 20.6 mill in cap space for 2013. If you add in what would be a smart move by either doing a major restructure to Fitz contract or cutting him all together they would save what i think i heard to be total 10.45 in cap space . As long as it is done before the football year starts. So that would put them at 30 + mill in space, of coarse i may be speaking out of the side of my face b/c i'm not real sure how all of this works pertaining to the Fitz thing. Would that amount just go to the cap space if they cut him before the deadline or would they still owe him something ? Plus i don't see Thigpen coming back so if he is owed anything cut him too !! MO MONEY - MO MONEY - MO MONEY !! Seeing as Byrd & Levetrie are two of the corner stones of the teams future & Fitz doesn't look to be as important to that future i would say no brainer for the new coach or the old front office. Pay a back up QB top money to sit the bench or restructure or cut him ?? HMMM let's see ? SEE YA !! Just thought i would pass this on if you all are wondering how much we have to fool with while thinking of the 2013 draft & free agency. One last thing - Kevin Green for D coordinator !!!!
-
But if he is kept his contract needs to be overhauled completely the guy is expected to get 10.45 million this year counting his bonus at the beginning of the football year & i think we will all agree he's not worth that kind of a cap hit with Levetrie & Byrd needing to be signed !!
-
First & fore most Fitz contract needs to be radically reconstructed for him to be kept in a back up roll only b/c he has underperformed ! Or second cut ties all together & get rid of his cap hit & bring in a A . Smith, Vick to be a stop gap to draft a later round QB like Taj Boyd or this Nassib guy this year or just wait & have a chance the following year at a A. J. Mcarron, or Johnny Football from T A&M b/c the guy from A&M are the kind you do what the Redskins did to get RG3 !!

How much talent do the Bills actually have?
T master replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last 2 years Bills offensive line has had very low sacks allowed , WR SJ & Scott chandler SJ 3 consecutive 1000 yards seasons despite injuries though out the season, Chandler equaled TD catches by the franchise best TE, CJ was running at a historic pace avg. for this year (keep in my in a some what limited roll) 6 YPC avg for the season, Byrd very solid player according to the NFL Experts, Mario although lack luster at times 10 sacks, K. Williams 5 sacks on a bad leg, L Mckelvin lead the league in yards per return on punts, at QB a guy that was less than stellar but numbers wise did well so imagine if we can get a guy likea Taj Boyd or (insert name here) that has a better QB performance. Young players showing up S. Gilmore coming of age, R.Brooks showing a bit of upside still needs to learn, Carrington being a beast in extra points blocked & just showing better in his play on D ... Dareus i think will be better after his experience this year.. So does this answer some of this question ?? It does for me !! -

Geno Smith Tells the Senior Bowl "No Thanks"
T master replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he doesn't want it known that he has a harder time getting into or understanding a throw together offense & just doesn't want any more negative press after his butt whipping in his bowl game !! -
Ya but only one in this reply is worth the look !!
-
Then you won't like our new coach he is a run heavy Offensive guy from what i have read, & is looking forward to our RB's ..
