Don't know unless you try and it can't hurt just to bring him in & run him through the mill heck we gave Maybin 2 years we can give him 2 hrs . -

Got ya, but the Shanahan , Kelly, & Gruden thing was all for not from the get go, Brandon as well as every one of those coaches new they weren't going to come here. I even read a article today that said the Chip Kelly interview was the shortest interview the Bills did that day & there was NO follow up ! So that was nothing but a ploy !! If for nothing else to make us believe that that was the way they were thinking of going . To make us think they were doing their home work. Then they use exhaustive & thorough as explanations of their search, REALLY 5 candidates, 1 weeks time ?? And when you don't even talk to Trestman, Reid, or wait to talk to McCoy, or any of the others COME ON MAN !! I think the Marrone thing was a fore gone conclusion before it all started they just wanted us to think they were doing their home work (along with abide by the Rooney rule) & what was right by the fans !! Brandon is a great PR man & knows how to turn things to look good for him & his team, & i hope this does turn out to be the best hire the Bills have ever made but i will have a wait & see attitude. But until then GO BILLS !!! -
If you think of it in the coaching realm is it an analogy ?

I get what your talking about in your post, but our FO used words like exhaustive & thorough as to explain their search to replace Gailey. Well if 5 candidates & 1 week's time is exhaustive & thorough then by now i should have been a millionaire b/c i have been working so long !! What it comes down to is doing your homework & just how high you set your sights. In any business you look for a guy with a proven track record, one that thinks out of the box & one that has had a history of top notch performance at what he has done in all of his previous positions. Seeing as the Bills are in need of a franchise QB who better to bring in than a guy that has a proven track record with QB's ? Some one that other QB's veterans & rookies alike have looked to for help with their game. Seeing as the Bills are the only team in the NFL that has a series based in Canada who better to choose to make the series more successful & bring more canadian fans to the Ralph on game day than a coach that has been in 3 Grey Cup Championships & won 2 ?? Not to mention all the other pluses. Trestman was a coach at Miami when J Kelly was there, Is great friends with Marv Levy, has a better winning record than Levy prior to coming to the Bills, & has worked with & has respect of coaches all over the NFL !! Not to mention he has a broader range of good coaches to choose from coaching in both leagues. I'm not saying that Marrone will fail b/c i am a Bills fan & have been for A LONG TIME reference: Miami's got the oranges but we got the juice !! All's i am saying is exhaustive & thorough do not apply to our search when this caliber of coach is out there along with Reid & we never even attempt to talk to either one. Which raises a lot of questions !!! The only thing we can do now is sit back & see how it plays out & i will be rooting for the boys in Bills blue as i do every year !! GO BILLS !!!!

Exhaust - to use up or consume completely/expend the whole of/to draw out all that is essential. Thorough- executed without negligence or omissions Well there has been a couple of other coaching hires recently & ever since our expert team at 1 Bills drive had concluded their exhaustive & thorough search & commented that it was an exhaustive & thorough process it had crossed my mind just how committed to finding the right man to win are these guys really ? If their description of exhaustive & thorough is 5 candidates in 1 weeks time apparently they didn't set their collective goals very high. Or already had some one in mind ?? In KC's case i get it Reid has a storied history of winning so grab him but we made NO attempt what so ever to contact him in any way ?? OK what ever ... When you have a new hire no matter the position, hope is infused into the team & the fan base & i along with all of the other fans here am looking forward to a new season. A rebirth of sorts in hopes that our team with it's new coaching staff will finally have a respectable season & maybe even make it to the play offs. We will all find out this year just how a college coaching staff stands up to the NFL that is for sure ! It will either be a success & a good decision (which i am hoping for) or we the fans will have another let down due to the not so exhaustive & thorough search that went into this hire. If the later of the 2 is what we experience it would seem that our experts where just going through the motions & exhaustive & thorough were words used to cover up a lesser attempt to find the right guy. Maybe our front office will sit back & look at how teams that have success conduct their respective job interviews in order to take them selves & their teams to the next level. I hope that i can look back & say i was totally wrong in thinking this way & will be the first to admit it, but i am looking forward with a wait & see attitude to our current staff . While in respects of other coaching hires around the league b/c of their truly exhaustive & thorough interviewing i am just waiting for the championships to start pilling up. And if they in fact do i will be back & gloat about it exhaustively & Thoroughly !!

We need to bring back T Jack just so the draft pick we gave away for him wasn't a complete waste, then we will have ample back up at that position. Get rid of Thiggy pudding the entire Fitz thing is a mess due to the fact that the Bills FO jumped way to fast at giving him his contract !! This year i believe with all that i have as a Bills fan that Marrone will bring in Nassib with our first pick, put it on record that i said it, & i think B/C he knows the offense b/c he's played in it for 3 years he will be our starter & Fitz will be the back up unless they finally make a good decision & cut him so they don't have as much money to pay out. It won't save much to the cap but in the long run will save a ton of cash !! But i don't see them getting a high priced QB from FA when they owe Fitz all that cash ...

Every year you have players that come in & players that leave via FA. This years list for the Bills goes something like this & i don't see a lot of them coming back with the coaching change.. I'll of coarse start with the most important IMO to the least important again MO . Some i have listed in their spot due to money & possible depth player at a position of need that were good all around for the team. 1) J. Byrd - S 2) A. Levetre - G 3) L. Mckelvin - DB/ KR 4) D. Nelson - WR 5) C. Rhinehardt - OL 6) B. Scott - LB/S 7) D. Jones - WR 8) S. Johnson - DL 9) S. Merriman DE/LB 10) K. Moore - DE 11) K. Morrison - LB 12) C. Brown - C/OL 13) C. Macntyre - FB 14) T. Choice - RB 15) R. Martin - WR/ST 16) T. Jack - QB 17) T. Thigpen - ?QB This is all of the players we have that could leave via FA that i found, (some may have been resigned by now) some will return as they should others should have never been brought in or let go a while ago. As i said this is my interpretation of their importance to be brought back, but as we all know Bills fans have never been short when it comes to our opinions so fire away !!

My "value" FA signings for 2013 and the Bills
T master replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the signing of the players we pick up in the draft, signing our own FA (which we have more than just the 2 obvious ones) the list of free agents we have is 17 players. So if you replace those players or resign them where do you think the extra money for the guys you mentioned will come from ? All or most of the players you mentioned like Bowe which he has already stated that he will now stay in KC B/C of the Reid hiring are top money FA's as are our 2 that we need to resign, i don't see any of the top end FA's from your list that you talk about being prospects for the team with the money available ... -
So have i !! Since the Gailey hire i have wondered WHY our FO never had a interview with him & now we hire a guy after a EXHAUSTIVE SEARCH (5 candidates & 1 weeks time) with a good resume but not half the experience of Trestman & no championships on that resume... As Marv said their paths are almost identical look at both their Wikipedias he should have been the next successor as the Bills coach or at least had an interview. With the guy being a Canadian coach & the only team in the NFL having a Canadian series playing games there every year what move would have made it a million times easier for the Canadians to root for the Bills as their team & make that series a success & more than likely brought more fans to games at the Ralph from up north.. HIRE A CANADIAN COACH THAT WON 2 GREY CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS !! NO Brainer right ? Not in the Bills front office . Don't get me wrong i think we Might have made a good pick but EXHAUSTIVE, THOROUGH ?? Not to mention Marrones experience & resume is NOTHING like Trestmans !!! Trestman & the Bills was a match made in NFL heaven but Brandon had his home boy in mind from the onset of the search & couldn't see out side of the city limits of Syracuse ... Can You say HOMER !! Marv may have been wrong about a few things as the Bills GM but he wasn't wrong about Trestman !!
-
You must have been all in with the Gailey thing , i was all in first but along with the other bad coaching decisions & just b/c he didn't send Lindell out doesn't mean he can't hit that one. That just means you can lump that one in with the other bad coaching calls he did that helped to lay the ground work for his dismissal.

Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?
T master replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This is just another result of the road our nation is taking, we have turned into a nation of lazy a** whiners that would rather sit & concentrate on things that we can complain about rather than doing something constructive !! -
Does anybody watch any of the NFL pregame shows???
T master replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watch during the season when there is more teams to talk about but with the focus being so narrow during the play offs (unless of coarse the Bills were playing) i don't pay as much attention B/C you can only talk about so much with 8 teams playing. I don't watch so i'm not sure if they talk about other teams & their coaching hirings or searches, i guess i have better things to do but if the Bills were in there i'd be watchin them !! -
After this season is over the NFL will for sure be with out 1 HOF players & there is another that said at the beginning of this season he was 95% sure this would be his last season. These 2 players that i talk about are Ray Lewis of the Ravens & Tony Gonzales of the Atlanta Falcons both will be first ballot HOFer's. This possibly of this being both players last season & 1 playing in the AFC the other playing in the NFC wouldn't it be a fitting end to 2 great players careers to meet in the SB ? Of coarse the bad part is one would have to lose but seeing as 1 has a SB ring the perfect ending would be if Gonzales could go out with 1 so they both could end their respective careers with a ring. Then they could wear their ring when they are inducted into the hall. It will be a tough task for the Falcons (if they win today) to win out over the 49er's but it would be a great end to 2 of the greatest to ever play the games HOF career !!!

Although i think it's a fore gone conclusion that Marrone will take Nassib his boy with our first pick I think we have better options . The kid from Kansas Klien was a heismen finalist, prototypical size, good if not great arm, but there are a lot of comparisons to Teabow with a better arm ? With all of the run option plays being put in to offensive schemes now & after seeing what the 49er's QB did last night bring it on !! I may be one of a few but i heard Skip Bayless say (not quite the way i will put it) but if a coach had balls enough to play to Teabows strengths like Myer did in college he would be a success in the NFL which i agree with. If this kid from Kansas has a better arm & he is a runner too i think he would be a great fir in B/Lo but we can talk about it all we want but i think it will be for naught B/C i am going on record saying that our next QB will be Nassib ...

Ravens fan goes insane in front of his children

If he acted like that this week b/c they won will he be cutting his wrist next week if they don't win ?? Or just do what Bills fans do & drink profusely until next year ... -
WGR 550 talking about when to draft a QB
T master replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ask the Oakland Raiders what they thought about the subject. Even though you don't have to pay as much as you did then, in a year that the QB class is less than stellar & the fact that there may be another player that you can get at that pick that will make an immediate impact & is a huge upgrade at another position with your first pick is it worth the risk to take a franchise QB that may not live up to being the face of the franchise when the other may be that player ??? Especially if the QB will sit for a while & you need to keep your bridge gap QB to help with the change... -
Bowe has decided to stay in KC since Reid came aboard ..
-
Maybe the Jets will take him seeing as they have a high draft pick then they can have a USC reunion ...
-
What about the dude in Az. Horton he may be the next HC down there , plus there are still 5 other HC jobs to be filled so this along with the Trestman report could be a bit premature ! I can't for the life of me figure why we didn't even interview Trestman ? With the Toronto thing & all he would have been a home run !!

Well here is a complete list of those finalists that have a chance to be inducted into the HOF & once again Andre is in there . I think all 3 WR should go in & get it over & done with. The longer they wait the more of the records held by all 3 will fall as the league has become a passing league. All 3 were the best at what they did when they played but if they continue to pass over them their records will not be nearly as impressive as they were when they accomplished them ! They need to start to have a fan voting section or increase the amount of players inducted every year b/c there are way to many deserving players that are not in the HOF !! Here is the complete list of finalists: Larry Allen, Jerome Bettis, Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Curley Culp, Edward DeBartolo Jr., Kevin Greene, Charles Haley, Art Modell, Jonathan Ogden, Bill Parcells, Andre Reed, Dave Robinson, Warren Sapp, Will Shields, Michael Strahan and Aeneas Williams. My vote would go like this : T. Brown, C. Carter, A. Reed, C. Haley, C Culp ... Who would you put in ?
