OK i know there are going to be comments about the title but before you put them down take into consideration the Title it self !! Every year during draft talk you here talk about those players that as kids have made some questionable calls in there short lives. These decisions in their lives raise or lowers their position where they will be taken in the draft & if some teams will even consider them at all. The Bills & Buddy Nix usually have had a problem with anyone that has a character issues going into the draft. But if you look into the Bills past we have had some really good players that have been less than stellar in their decision making process while under contract for the Bills. Bruce Smith, is first in line, Marshawn Lynch, Jim Haslett, & after some players left B/Lo there are a host of others & some that you may be able to add to this list that i have forgotten about. But i have made a mockery of this my first mock draft ever & put all character issues aside while making my picks. Rd.1 #8 - Alec Ogletree/OLB - Recently arrested for DUI & previous issues Rd. 2 #41 - Tyrann Mathieau/CB - Several issues with drug tests Rd.3 #71 - Tyler Bray - minor issues more maturity issues than anything Rd. 4 - Kiko Alonzo/ILB - has had some drug test issues in his past but was good the last year + Rd. 5 - Da'rick Rogers/WR - again failed a drug test while at UT kicked off the team Rd. 6 - haven't looked into that many other players so you all can fill this one in . I put these guys in here & like i said at the beginning this is a mockery of our draft in every way ! I took Mathieau in the second b/c with what he showed at the combine i don't think truly he will last that long some team will take a chance high on that kid like St. Louis, Fisher ain't sceerd ! I think this MOCK would make our team a lot better but you might need armed guards at each corner of the Ralph . My Heading should probably been "My Fantasy Draft" Well it's all about you Bills fans now, what do you think ? Tear it up !!!

Complete Write-off Season?
T master replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I did a post earlier this week called more questions than answers & that is what Marrone seems to be doing to the team. I would think that coming into the situation that he has inherited you build on the good players you have & let the slackers or underachievers go, but that seems to be the exact opposite that Marrone is doing. He has let go the players with the best out put on the team & kept the more questionable ones. Barnnett & WIlson were 1 & 2 in tackles last year GONE, Jones i never got any way i think he was in that Gailey dream that him & Fitz were really good player so i did mind seeing him go. Then there is letting Nelson go after Buddy said he needs a big WR that can go up & get the ball, not to mention that he was second in catches in 2011, another head scratcher. But yet so far they Keep Brad Smith , Ruvell Martin , Kelsay which i like & think is a good team guy but he has been here 10 years & is getting paid WAY to much if they restructure then maybe but the money could be better used elsewhere !! I just hope Morrone doesn't turn out to be a moron !! I get it but those were the guys (all but Jones) with the highest or second highest out put on the team !! -
So let's get one to high & wind up like we did in JP Losman & be where we are now in 3 years. I would rather wait & take a QB later this year, Nassib is Fitz reincarnated, I have been reading that Bray is a project but has impressed more than any other at the combine. He has a big arm which we need & he may be there in the later rounds so we can focus on LB & WR in 1st & 2nd rounds ...

Can we find our 'system QB' in this draft?
T master replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After doing some limited research on Nassib although i'm not real sure about him but i think he might be the best pick this year for us. I really like Tyler Brays arm & wouldn't mind him as a late round pick but i'm not sure that will happen, if for nothing else b/c Buddy has a problem with any character issues. Which puts Bray, Darick Rogers, possibly Ogeltree, & others off our board, which i think some times the risk might be worth the reward . -
Not only did we just draft Glenn that did a very good job but we drafted Sanders last year &(his name escapes me) but the guy from clemson that filled in for Glenn last year so we have 3 LT . NEXT

Bills to let David Nelson walk?
T master replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya but Nelson has brought a lot more production to the table & he is if nothing else a good depth & team guy that has been & could be a very good red zone WR b/c of his size. Kelsay i have always liked his presence for the team in the locker room & i always love it when he gets a sack in the end zone good team guy but he may have run his coarse but if they could restructure his contract he would be a great depth player !! -
Thats good i'm glad he got with my second favorite team. Since i moved just outside of Nashville i have adopted them as my second team so when the Bills don't win (careful) i root for them !! Maybe i can go have him sign my Bills hat !! Great guy !!

I put up some stuff last year about Russel Wilsons stats & i was told YOU CAN'T WIN WITH STATS Be careful what you post man it's a tough crowd on here ... But i'm with you on the stats thing .

Dude is definitely a burner, but can you imagine just what would happen if we took another RB in the first or second round ? Fans would lose their minds !! Especially when we need so many other positions that would make the team better . We have a top notch set of RB's we need LB's, WR's (seeing as we have gotten rid of the better ones we had) & there's still that QB thing hanging over our heads .
-
Ya but why is he the one they are thinking of cutting ?? Because he can't stay healthy ! He's been on the sideline more in the last 2 years than he's been on the field . We just got rid of Mcgee. We don't need another guy taking up a roster spot & cap space rather than having a player that could bring production to the team . He could be a good add but is the risk going to be worth the reward ???
-
McCoy or weeden - Cleveland is going to cut one
T master replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well they did have um - ah - well - um - that Bernie guy ?? -
As time goes on with this new coaching staff my questions increase . After last season we all had our thoughts on those that were good for the team & those we thought should be let go, due to lack of production, health, age or what ever the reason may have been.. So far this year before the ax started to drop i for one thought T. Mcgee, Kelsay, A Williams, Fitz, B Smith & a couple others may have gotten the ax, once again b/c of the afore mentioned reasons. But so far our new coach has cut the guys that had some of the most dependable guys & ones with the highest out put on the team & these weren't depth players they were leaders like G. Wilson, Barnett , & now possibly D. Nelson a tall dependable WR that was a good red zone threat & had decent out put in our offense yet they keep Brad Smith a guy that is being paid way to much & when you talk what he brings to the Bills game it hasn't been much... I hope these guys are seeing something that we aren't b/c this to me is raising more question that answers . Maybe they are planning on scrapping this season too so they can get Johnny football. Who Knows ??

Plus he may actually learn something in the process !!

Cordarrelle Patterson - WR - Tennessee
T master replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm in on both counts !! I wouldn't even mind either of his team mates past or present Justin Hunter or DaRick Rogers but they would be in later rounds . -
Thats great & long over due ! The only way that the Bills will stay in western NY & keep them viable is to build a new stadium. Or have them go to another SB & win ... What did they say "build it & they will come" Plus the fact if it is a domed stadium there will be the possibility of Super Bowls, BB tournaments concerts & much more. I hope they continue to talk about the sports museum connected to the facility .

First off i'd like to say there has been a lot of talk about our current QB situation & some may think this is another Fitz post, but it is more about what jack ass gave the OK for such a contract to be signed & who pushed so hard to have it signed so quickly ? Who ever made those 2 decisions needs to be fired b/c those decisions have strapped & tapped the Bills for a lot of cashe ! I know Overdorf is the money guy right ? But my question is who has the last word on the signing of these contracts ? Who ever gave the OK for that contract to be signed needs to be fired period, who would read something like that & allow it to go through ? I mean... You give the OK where a guy has a $10.5 million cap hit but if you cut him he still counts as $10.45 mill towards the cap ?? And if you do cut him or basically fire the guy you only save $500K ?? I'm no math major but i can tell you somebodies gonna get screwed !! And here is the other question. Who was the one that was in such a big hurry to get the contract done ? It was only the what 7th game of the year if i remember correctly (but i could be misremembering) ? And i know he finished he year prior on a high note but REALLY ? Why not wait to see what went on the rest of the year ? I mean it's not like the same scenario hadn't played out just about exactly the same way when Trent Edwards was our QB. (how soon they forget) I could see if it was a Marino or Montanna, heck quite possibly even a Jay Cutler. But the players past that was being weighed against the 7 games that had been played to that point. Wouldn't that have still been tipping the scale toward delaying such a large decision. At least until more was known about how much change was to be in the person entrusted to lead us into the future.. Now the only thing that can be saved is real money but the cap remains the same !!

Well i have found (personal opinion) that the Bills brass have a different definition for Exhaustive & thorough explanation per their coaching search than i do. If they do there predraft work like they did their coaching interviews it's no wonder we are where we are. I'm sure they are doing what they feel needs doing as far as preparation for the draft & have most of their players on the board & i hope we get another draft like our last one & we will have some good players to go along with what we already have. I just hope the coaching staff can maximize their talent !!!

I looked up Proaction b/c that is what i believe my post is about & with the splitting up of the word into to sections Pro Action i meant it to be Pro for professional football & action. So yes i did you may want to look up proaction. i'm just saying but thanks anyway !! Appreciate ya ...

There were more than one game actually about 4 that if the D would have been better we would probably been at 8 & 8 at least. So getting a stud defensive player in the first wouldn't hurt my feelings at all. I'm all for a QB & with the WR receivers in this years draft we should be able to snag one (i hope it's Justin Hunter-UT) but with the talent at the QB position we can wait & get a good prospect in the later rounds. I wouldn't mind us taking Bray in the later rounds either but he is awfully raw & immature which would allow him to sit for a bit & learn how to be a QB & a grown up. I just ope we don't blow our first rounder on a QB that we will be reaching for !!!
-
This year it seems as though no matter where you turn there is an article that states WE GOT TO DRAFT A QB THIS YEAR !!! I just hope that the Bills brass has learned something from jumping to fast in our recent past. We all make mistakes but the thing is if you learn something, anything from that mistake then it wasn't a total lose or waste of time. I hope the same people that thought there was such a urgency to get Fitz under a new contract as a reaction to his 5 game winning streak have more patience or are more Pro active in respect to the drafting of a QB this year than he or they did before they so hurriedly put pen to paper to sign our QB of the future in Fitz. If they use the same thought process they did in the past & react to our situation at QB we will draft a QB at #8 & will be paying him to much money for what production we will get & we will be choosing a player way to high, once again missing on another impact player that could be at #8 like we did when they wiffed on Orapko, Nata, & Mathews... But there again there is the Brady factor ? Which should also prove unless there is a Luck or RG3 coming out WAIT & choose a good prospect later ! I don't have any problem with grabbing a QB this year but the first round isn't the place to get one. We need a high impact player, a player that can be on the field this year & make a difference. LB, is in my eyes is one of our biggest if not the biggest concern this year & there are a lot of good defensive players coming out this year... We can pick up a QB to develop in the later rounds like Nassib, Bray. I don't think there will be a huge run on QB's this year in the early rounds, if they had learned anything at all from last year there will be some good prospects left in the later rounds !! We can only hope that Pro action wins out over Reaction in our draft room this year !! OK Bills fans chew me up !!
-
I agree & you would think that even if he does have guys that he has worked with if he would use just a bit of common sense in his choice he could see that even if Pete is a young coach his hands on experience dwarfs what Marrone him self has done. Pete has more time in a NFL shower than Marrone has total in his career & after Marrones choice of coach for the ST unit & now this i have more questions about the guy now than i did in the beginning . I still think with all the coaches available this year that our EXHAUSTIVE & THOROUGH coaching search was more in the 100 yd dash category than the marathon it was made out to be !!

That contract of Fitzpatrick's is killing us.
T master replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And i've got 3 warnings , hell this dude had 3 + in the first paragraph !! -
He apparently didn't learn a thing while he was in Pittsburgh ! I hope his statement was misunderstood b/c if he meant what he said & If this is our future we are in big trouble !!
-
I could live with that !! I would rather see a UT - WR at the #1 pick but i could live with Allen ...
-
Any one of the UT - WR that are there in the later rounds would be fine with me even the guy that got shipped out DaRick Rogers . But i would like to see Justin Hunter be our pick in the later rounds & his QB Bray if he is there wouldn't bother me at all either !!!
