  1. Depends on where you live. My father lives in the Mark Twain National Forest area in Missouri, and his top-of-the-line internet service I think is 50 Mbps. Unfortunately for my father, he might be screwed. I'm currently looking at alternative options for my parents, including Starlink. It's hard to negotiate with a service rep about the service being interrupted when 95% of the year it's blue skies. I rarely have an electric bill ever since I threw solar panels on my roof.
  2. It's going to be a cost/analysis decision for me. 1st. I have COX internet here in Tucson, AZ. I'm paying $117.49 per month for Gigablast which does NOT have unlimited data. I'm capped at 1280GB per month. As of right now not exclusively cutting the cord, the most I've used was 900 GB per month. This includes my family watching Netflix/Hulu/Online Games. I'm curious if I could get away with staying at the 1280GB per month and keeping my monthly internet at $117.49. If I add unlimited internet, it's $49.99 a month, which would balloon to about $167.48 per month for internet usage. I'm currently paying $263.32 for DirecTV while not on a contract. I did this purposely because I knew about the Sunday Ticket change. I have the Xtra package (220+ channels) plus HBO Max. We have two boxes, but now the boxes aren't really needed with the streaming change they came up with finally. I think DirecTV now realizes they cannot go without this feature, and they only blocked it because they knew ST subscribers weren't leaving as long as they owned the rights to carry the games. YouTube TV does not have regional sports, which does suck for many people. For me, it's not important because I'm in Tucson, AZ and the only two blacked-out games I'll have to worry about are the Sabres/Coyotes. I think I can manage to find two crappy streams to watch those games, and a lot of the time, I'll be attending the games anyways (didn't go to the game in Arizona this year, because I went to the Bills/Dolphins game). DirecTV needs to figure out how to drop its prices significantly. I would only consider staying if they drop their prices to rival that of YouTube TV. The ONE THING that DirecTV has over YouTube TV is there is a delay and isn't truly "live." YouTube TV will have about a 15-30 second delay compared to cable/satellite. That bothers me because I like to go on Twitter during the games and look for injury updates. Sometimes, the game would be spoiled for me because I do that. If DirecTV cannot lower its prices significantly, I will switch to YouTube TV and cut the cord entirely. They have two weeks to figure it out, because as soon as the season is over, and I have paid for the Sunday Ticket entirely (they didn't allow me to switch from a six-month payment to a one-time payment because the season already started), I will be calling DirecTV to grab their equipment and disconnect my service. DirecTV is at a critical point in its business. They either need to change what they're doing significantly, or they will be filing for bankruptcy VERY shortly.
  3. HBO Max also doesn’t do live TV. If you want to binge watch the same shows that’s one thing, but I like watching TV. HBO Max doesn’t have everything you need. They only have what they negotiated for. This is why there are so many different streaming services. When it’s all said and done, you’d need Hulu, Discovery Plus, Disney Plus, Netflix, Peacock, and HBO Max all together so you don’t get burned out on the content, and you STILL don’t have live programming. All those together is more than the $65 per month YTV offers
  4. you’re right. I absolutely love having to click down the rabbit hole for streams, clicking 4 times to get rid of the ads, infecting my computer with malware, and realizing after those 4 clicks that it buffers horrifically and you have to do the same thing for another illegal stream. That stuff is just way better than turning your TV on to the channel and it just plays 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. 10.99 x 17 games is still $186.83 for the year to only be able to watch 1 game a week but only for 17 weeks ($197.82 for 18 weeks of football but only 1 game a week). So for the extra $113.17 you get all of the games. I don’t see how you think that’s an outrageous price? My only issue is the 30 second delay streaming has, and the fact that a lot of places, especially rural areas in the middle of the country, doesn’t have the strong enough internet service to run everything properly. My parents live in the middle of nowhere Missouri. Their best internet plan is 100Mbps where they get a 30Mbps down and a 10 Mbps up. It’s really hard to stream 4K content while still being able to use other devices for the home.
  6. Dolphins fans scared Tua and McDaniels might be trying to downplay the significance of the cold weather and snow, but Dolphins fans are well aware that this could be a big deal for their team.
  7. I don't like that honestly. We'll get what's going on in soccer. Touchdown happens, we can't celebrate because we have to wait until kickoff to find out if it's good or not.
  8. "I can drop the N bomb because I have black friends and have defended them." What is the difference between the two?
  9. Yeah, I'm on the same flight route through Frontier. It was $300 roundtrip, as opposed to $660 elsewhere ($750 through Tucson). Flying out of Phoenix at like 1250, then laying over in Denver for a few hours before flying to Buffalo at 10:50pm. Then flying out of Buffalo at 11:35am Sunday, and laying over in Denver for almost 6 hours. I'll be in Phoenix by 9:30pm
  10. I forgot to put my tickets on sale, so I'm going to the game this weekend. I'm driving from Tucson to Phoenix on Friday. I'll be in Buffalo LATE Friday night. Going to the game, flying back on Sunday and arriving home around midnight that night.
  11. His job is to create conversation and to think outside of the box sometimes. I actually like his takes. Just like the Overtime show yesterday, if you just talked about how great things are, you're going to have a boring radio station.
  12. You have to be kidding me, right? Viktor Bout was one of the most notorious people that was sought after. Him leaving the aircraft in handcuffs were all over the news stations.
  13. Speaking of what I was talking about, isn't this wonderful? POTUS Gathers to speak on gun violence
  14. He's literally freeing gun violence instigators while also parading around with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer screaming for gun control. What an absolute joke. If you have convictions so strong for gun control, Viktor Bout being released should have been a non-starter.
  15. I don't know if this was brought up, but I'm also not calling Whelan a saint. He was court martialled and received a bad conduct discharge for Larceny, bouncing checks, and attempted theft of over $10k in Iraq. Personally, I wouldn't have traded either for Bout. Bout isn't just someone that affected the American people, he is someone that affected COUNTRIES. Potentially millions died due to his work.
  16. The United States left an American who they admit was wrongfully detained and convicted. They negotiated an American that ADMITTED she committed a crime. If Trump felt Bout needed to stay in prison because of what he did, then it doesn't matter that Whelan stayed in jail, because it would be a non-starter. As much as I hate to say it, but I sort of agree.
  17. I don't care if Trump didn't release Whelan. If Trump felt that Viktor Bout being released wasn't worth it, then this 2018 crap that BillStime was so upset about doesn't matter. They should have played hard ball and had both released. This wasn't just an American issue, this is a international issue. Hundreds of Thousands to Millions of people have died at the hands of people that dealt with Bout.
  18. Why does that matter? Why are you worrying about Trump? The deal was done today. The same reason why Obama didn't close down GITMO (his campaign promise). There potentially could have not been a deal to be made. He could have also thought that Viktor Bout was too dangerous to want to be set free. You need to look at context. This isn't hard to figure out. The Russians gave the United States a lesbian, black, WNBA player that beat her wife, and brought illegal vape canabis oil to their country, and plead guilty. They traded an international arms dealer that would sell advanced weapons to people in civil wars (many times sold them to both sides of the conflicts/wars). How is that remotely an even trade? What makes you think he won't do this again, but this time in the comfort of his home in Russia?
  19. How is that relevant? Negotiations didn't start until this year. But if you are trying with the "gotcha" moment, I believe if there was a swap to make at that time, I believe it should have happened. Viktor Bout is one of the most dangerous men on the face of this Earth. I think the return the US got was significantly underwhelming.
  20. He got detained in 2018 and got a 16 year sentence in 2020. He's been detained for 4 years and has 12 years to go. I understand they weren't willing to do a 2 for 1, and it makes sense. However, they wanted Bout back really bad. I'm going to assume they were offered one or the other, and Biden & co chose Griner.
  21. My biggest issue with this is the fact that an American Marine, who was wrongfully convicted of espionage, that the United States has also admitted was a wrongful conviction is staying in jail to rot. Griner was not wrongfully detained. She did bring an illegal substance into the country, admitted to it, and pled guilty. Do I think her punishment is harsh and wouldn't be as bad if she wasn't a prominent figure in the United States? Absolutely. However, she should have been put on the backburner before Paul Whelan got released. I guess he wasn't woke enough. I'm also no longer interested in Biden or anybody associated with this deal to ever talk about gun control again. Viktor Bout is nicknamed the "Merchant of Death" for a reason.
  22. I feel bad for the kid, but I'm ok with our punter. We don't need to do things like making roster moves like that.
  23. It's only Wednesday. They'll be fine and ready for Sunday.
  24. Oh, it's not Josh Allen? Still doesn't change my Super Bowl expectations.
  25. That's brutal. Next man up.
