Because Josh’s deep ball has sucked for over a year. He’s missed wide open guys more often than not on the deeper routes.

He’s never been good at hitting vertical routes he’ll have flashes here and there but overall he throws them too low and hot.

Flip the script-if a Chiefs fan did that to a Josh Allen doll how would you want people to react?

I wouldn’t care. Other people reacting to stupid things isn’t my business. If their life has that little going on that they feel the need to react to something that has nothing to do with them that’s their problem not mine.

I’ll never understand why people get bent out of shape about things that don’t impact their lives one bit.

You're right, but also people have been seeing Samuel open at times ( @Alphadawg7's comment about Samuel downfield, although I always take that with a grain of salt since on the TV it can be hard to tell if he's open at the right time in the progression) and Allen not pulling the trigger to go to him.

He has been open a decent amount and Allen for whatever reason doesn’t throw to him. There was 3 maybe 4 times it happened in the chefs game.  He’s been open at times despite not looking as explosive or smooth as he has in the past. IIRC he was graded as one of the Bills best separators(not saying much)

  4. It boggles my mind that people have been questioning why he’s been ineffective.

The Bills said he had turf toe. They didn’t let him rest it very long. He showed explosiveness in camp, he didn’t after he had turf toe, now after weeks of lighter usage and sitting out he all of the sudden has his explosiveness back. Hmm I wonder why.

The gameplan yesterday - Run up the middle for 1 yard, throw short screen to the sidelines for 1 yard, Josh has to make a superhero play on 3rd and long. It lacked any creativity and it's not a sustainable model for success. We won, sure, but Josh had to literally make the best play in the NFL this year for that to happen.

Would have liked to see some play action off that 1st down run or end around to the motion man, or everyone go one way and throw screen back the other way. Something creative. Or more Cooper down the field and Shakir over the middle. But we won so feel free to down vote this.

There was play action off some of the runs. Can’t really be creative when your line is getttng manhandled the whole game. They scored 30 against a defense that hasn’t given up that many points in a long time.

They should have scored more but Allen missed open receivers on downs that ended up stalling the drive because of the missed opportunity.

Kind of a two fold discussion here ....

    1. Was it genius or stupidity yesterday that Brady stubbornly stuck to the run game yesterday, when clearly it was not working.  Chiefs have not given up more than 60 yards to an RB all season.  Or was it for the purpose of running clock and just keeping the Chiefs D honest?

    2. IMHO ... we really need a more creative run game in order to be truly unstoppable.  Is it because we lack imagination, or because we don't have the style of O-Lineman capable of doing more athletic and sophisticated things.  Everything seems to be just plow left, plow right, plow forward

Good topic to start the bye week

Like others have said you absolutely cannot just give up running the ball.

The lineman were getting blown up. They’re not maulers.
