Bring back Schwartz

You do understand people can regress, right? Rex Ryan used to have elite defenses, Dick jauron had a good defense In Chicago. Should be bring them back too -

We have been blitzing a lot. Our players aren’t very good at it so they just end up stuck at the line. We’ve blitzed from pretty much every position on the field. -
All those premium picks on defense...

Is it the guy getting the players or the guys developing the players? Also Ed has outperformed Quinnen Williams. -
It’s been ridiculous for years and the people with the blinders on are the ones that have been defending the refs. There was an obvious face mask we got away with so it did go both ways. Because for whatever reason the OL doesn’t put their hand out and touch them. WRs too. We do all these hard counts but don’t react when they jump. It’s maddening. Against Miami we were getting them to jump a lot even their corners but our guys just stood there. The time they do react Williams jumps up and takes a false start. Just stick your hand up, if they don’t get called for neutral zone infraction you just act like you’re calling out blocking assignments

I’m saying Allen is to blame for not throwing it to Beasley when he’s open. One play he looked at him for a while and didn’t throw it. Do you think daboll tells Allen he has to throw it to Diggs even if he’s triple covered and just ignore the wide open receiver? No, you go through your reads and find the open man. Edit- Misread

Frazier’s Gotta Be Fired

Why weren’t they coached not to do those things. They’ve been in the defense for years. I think they know where to line up. We’ve been beat on third and long a lot. Teams figured the defense out. Buffalo716 broke that down earlier in the thread. If the offfense knows what’s gonna be called and we call it, wouldn’t that make it a bad play call? -
Frazier’s Gotta Be Fired

There was a few times in the first half where Beasley or Davis were wide open and Allen forced it to a double or triple covered Diggs. I think that’s more on Allen needing to through his reads and finding the open guy than the game plan. -

Tre hasn’t been himself this year either. He’s been getting beat since camp -

Are we running the same scheme as the last few years? Seems like we’re playing a lot more man. The defense overall just looks lost and are thinking way too much. If it was just a couple players ok but it’s all of them. We haven’t had any answers for it in 5 games. -
New England D vs. Buffalo D

I’ve always been on the fence about this defense. I don’t think the talent is “elite” but they play well as a unit within the scheme. It looks like they changed a couple things and then injuries forced them to change them some more and it’s just not working. We seem to play man a lot but we don’t really have many man players besides Johnson and he’s been bad too. Individually we aren’t playing well and that’s been since training camp. Tre white was getting beat a lot in camp and it’s carried over to the regular season. The entire defense regressed and I would have to put that on coaching -
Josh Allen - week FIVE report card

He played like last year. The touch was gone, missing wide open receivers, forcing the ball into coverage, not taking what defense gives you. Good thing is we usually learn from our mistakes and fix them. Especially after a bad loss like this. Hopefully the defense can get to below average or even average and we should be fine
