I know the Chiefs had some dreadful defensive rankings during their earlier SB runs, but they usually stepped up and got stops in the playoffs. We can only hope ours follows a similar path.

The Bills defense that has been beyond bad in the playoffs(historically bad under McDermott) is gonna all the sudden play well against good teams when it’s struggled to stop good or balanced offenses for almost a decade?

  2. I didn’t see the pictures when I first heard about this. My girlfriend is back home in São Paulo for a bit and has a twin. I was like babe how’s your landlord?

    I can fix her

As one of the millions of men that has had this thought about a crazy woman. Don’t. For recreational use only. Have your fun for a week then never see her again.

The problem is that's 2 weeks in a row he's played the same. Is he losing interest/ fire? Is he tired of not being supported properly by the front office? All of this stuff could be grating on him. I'd be tired of the front office's bullshyt too.

He does this pretty much every year. He’ll have a couple bad games then rebound. Last year it was Baltimore and Houston.

McDermott plays rookies when they are good, we just don't draft any good rookies. Dawkins played his rookie year

Tre white as well. Walker and Sanders both played when healthy. Walker is starting now because of injury. Rousseau I think also started. Cody ford started a lot as a rookie but he wasn’t good. Wasn’t Zay Jones a starter as well?

Hopefully the kid gets whatever it is straightened out.  My BIGGEST takeaway from this story is obviously the Chiefs organaztion has never consulted with McDermott for any type of advice or they would know, rookies are not to be played, just drafted and whispered about in the shadows

What rookie hasn’t played that was ready for a starting job?

Because they have 2 guys coming back from suspension they need to activate in Hoecht and Ogunjobi and McD says there is a good chance they open the window on Hairston this week, although they don't need to add him to the active roster until the 3 weeks is up. Then they either have to activate him or he remains on IR for the rest of the year and they can't use him at all.

Would be a lot smarter to wait until the week is out so they don’t waste a week of the 21 day window on the bye week when there’s very little practice.

This team has too many holes to fill; one trade for a wide receiver will not fix them all and the coaches probably will not know how to use whatever receiver we get anyway (see cooper, amari).  Save the draft capital, fire the GM, and get someone competent to make the pick next april.

Used to live on Grote. Miss it over there.

Well yeah, after he brought in a top 5 overall WR and a top 5 slot receiver, and a speedy veteran, along with drafted Gabe Davis … he didn’t really need to do anything else in Daboll’s last year at WR.

    The WR room looked good.

Thats completely different than how it looks now. There is really no comparison.

And Beasley and brown were clearly slowing down. Davis had issues to show he’s not a No. 2 but had a big game in playoffs so they didn’t upgrade the next year.  Beane has needed to add receivers for a few years now and that was before Brady.

You kind of have to replace players when they regress or leave.

Before Brady arrived, Beane went out and got Diggs, Beasley, Sanders, etc. They were active in recruiting WR’s.

After Brady, Beane is comfortable running with Coleman and Palmer.

There is no doubt in my mind that they are running with Brady’s “everybody eats” mentality.

They stopped prioritizing WR after they got Diggs while Daboll was still here. Yes they brought in an old Emmanuel sanders but with Dorsey they tried to make Gabe the No 2. They haven’t really brought in anyone since.

Beane has been doing the same thing they did in Carolina. Expect Allen to carry the offense with a bunch of JAGs.

If the Bills job opened up it would be one of the most attractive jobs to come to because of #17. Pegula would have his choice of top GM's and HC's wanting to work for him. This isn't the Jets where top candidates will avoid that job like the plague.

And I still don’t trust Pegula to make the correct decision.

I almost wonder if that's been the plan all along.  If they activate him just before the bye he can get some coaching and practices that are less game plan focused.  Seems like a good week to work on getting him up to speed.

There’s less practice during the bye week. So he would have less time to get up to speed. They’ll most likely open the window right after the bye.

I’d really like to dumb down the defense, have the CBs play “man up,” physical and close to the line of scrimmage, challenge the receivers. If they get beat physically, so be it, but force the QB to make a good throw and the receiver to make a contested catch. They’re getting beat anyway right now by giving up too much space, receivers are constantly running free in zone without a defender to immediately pop them or break up the pass.

They get beat in man as well. They’ve been running a decent amount of it.

This seems like a reach to me. The Bills defense did force a longer field goal and the Bills defense shouldn't have been in that situation had the offense not turned the ball over 3 times.

A 52 yard FG isn’t really that long anymore. That kick would have been good from 70.

You can say the situation would have been different if things happened differently earlier in the game all you want. You still have to make the correct decisions in the moment and evaluate the current situation and react accordingly. Crying about earlier mistakes isn’t going to force a 3 and out now.

I actually have never seen a crew nit pick the oline like that ever. The interior holding calls were not holds. None of them. Even the illegal procedure and false starts were not good calls.

they called the pats for that one false start on 3rd and inches, and their lineman didn’t even move. It was like he was taking a breath and they called it.

The lineman on the 3rd and inches definitely moved. Some of the interior holds were definitely holds. The issue with the holds is the patriots were doing them too with no calls.

If Allen wasn't QBing the Bills last night they lose 23 - 6 or worse.  See the Ravens versus Texans game.  Allen made some great throws and great runs. This nitpicking of Allen in the face of the obvious shortcomings that lost last nights game is bizarre to me.

Why can’t people point out things that were missed or wrong? Just because Allen is a great player doesn’t mean he  can’t be criticized when it’s deserved. Posts like yours are bizarre to me.
