  1. Of course we support him he's a Bill. It doesn't it mean we still have to like the pick or make believe that are observations pre_draft are not valid, or have confidence it's going to work out. But we support him and hope he's the real deal.
  2. Gosh you're right, there's no way of ranking any quarterback coming out of college. Nobody like Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. Throw a dart at the board. All college QBs have flaws. But I'll take a guy who has exceptional completion rate, I demonstrated ability as a pocket passer, reading defenses, and overall success at a major college program. That would be how I would do it, you wouldn't make the judgement differently apparently. That's fine.
  3. So glad you're delighted with the pick. Many of us are not. Our judgments are as valid as yours. Now let's just hope he works out. That's my hope. Until then, I'm not going to do a 180 and dismiss what I've seen from him in the past. If that's negative to you, so be it. Go bills. No more than it is for the Bills and 30 other teams that passed on him for almost 3 rounds. For every Wilson there's 10 flops. All I'm saying is when you pick number 7, I'd rather pick a guy who's got a track record that shows he can do it at the next level. We're going to see.
  4. There is a place in Rochester that cooks their steaks at 1200 degrees. They are crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. I'm thinking I got to go for one.
  5. Variety is the spice of life.
  6. My dream too! That's why I really love why the FO did up front. Sorry for the repeat!
  7. 100%. I hate this crap. I'm not an Allen fan but the kid didn't deserve that. You have to wonder what kind of douche would do that.
  8. Ugh. This is the one game I really wanted to attend. I have to work and the worst part is I'll be in Chicago that day at a trade show. So close, damn it!
  9. Agree. Milano's a bit light and will benefit greatly if they can keep the big guys off him.
  10. No, burgers are usually consistent. I've had far more bad steaks than bad burgers.
  11. Hell yes. Also any QB hit is a great result. Takes it's toll mentally and physically. I like our front four. Still concerned about our LBs.
  12. I like a good burger too.
  13. Yeah I'mnot trying to be Debbie Downer here. It's just that he was my least favorite going in because I saw a lot of hesitation after his first read was covered. I saw a lot of bolting out of the pocket that was otherwise clean. I don't know it's just a lot going on that I didn't like. But I hope, beyond all hope, he's the exception that blossoms at this level. I want a legit franchise QB more than you can imagine. I'm 55 years into following and loving this team.
  14. Woulda Coulda Shoulda. If we drafted Wilson seventh overall I'd have the same doubts so I'm having right now about Allen. Third-round he's a steal, 7th overall at that time don't know. I'm saying we picked a kid, 7th overall, who hasn't shown me anything in college. So I go by what I see, you go by what it could be. I hope you're right. The one thing I won't do, like everybody else on the board seems to do, is recreate the past and make excuses for it. The kids got a lot of proving to do.
  15. Better team, scheme and as I said, a light came on. But at least he proved he could do it, we haven't seen that from Allen yet. So we're betting on that, tall order for the seventh pick in the draft. No matter how you think about it it's a crap shoot. Picking that high I'd rather have a guy who showed he could do it in the past. To me past performance is the best indicator of future performance. You may disagree, but hey that's fine.
  16. Well, I admit that was a bit harsh. It's just the referencing little details like that seems a bit fixated on the whole series. But I get it. My wife dragged me to a couple and I found myself not willing to suspend my disbelief. She's cracker dogs about them.
  17. Made a big jump in his last year. Looks like the light went on. Still went in the third round. He wasn't the seventh overall. And at least he showed that he could do it. Allen has not, as of yet.
  18. Yeah I agree. In another thread I said a lot of has to go right for them to be effective. I think you're spot on with picking up another lb.
  19. Really doesn't matter. It's all about results. I'll take results any day.
  20. I don't know about that, Lorax got better with age. Shaq has worked on his body so let's see what happens this year. You may be right.
  21. Not a fan but whatever floats your boat.
  22. These are who will start, but there's going to be such a heavy rotation on the D-line, it almost doesn't matter who starts. LBs are still the weak link.
  23. Too bad he's never been able to accomplish it. As to explaining why his completion rate is so low, some call it analysis some call it excuses.
