  1. My wife dances ballet and has a turf toe situation. It is flat out nasty. It explains a lot. I can't imagine running and cutting on it. True but if it is really hampering him it could be a blessing.
  2. Always have respected your takes as reasoned and thoughtful. And by and large I agree with you. But that throw was Fitzy-esque and doomed from the get-go. The coaches have been working on him on decision making and I was disappointed in seeing that. Still am, particularly at that point in the game and that down and distance. So I stand by my posts and hope he learns from it. As soon as I am back from St. Lawrence haven I will do just that and report back! Thank you.
  3. Which blew me away. I went to Whisky Fest in NYC a few years back and a few Japanese "Scotch" (can't really call it that but it is) offerings were just amazing. I've just started getting into rum and tequila and have been really intrigued by them but have much to learn. Port a d Spanish sherry are other weaknesses. I need another life to sample it all!
  4. I know, crazy thread. Oliver's first step is elite and as he develops he is going to be a terror. I can't wait to see him later this season and in the future. Gonna be fun.
  5. Spot on. I brought Talisker, 18 year old Macallen and a few bourbons to pass the time. Sometimes I am in a peaty mood. Lately I have had a taste for Spanish Vermoot as well. It doesn't suck. You're late to the game friend. Read all before throwing down.
  6. Agree with OP. I expected Aaron Donald immediately. Donald sacks the QB every snap, right?
  7. Well the cigar and scotch (14 year old Talisker) are the joys, the Bills are an addiction!
  8. That's what we did with Palmer. Tyree isn't close to an NFL QB right now.
  9. He's likely going to play the full game ala Jordan Palmer.
  10. Could you imagine someone telling you in 2011 that Luck would retire before Brady?
  11. Maybe a year off would do it. Gotta feel bad for Reich, he had a helluva team that was contending. Not thinking Jacoby is going to get them there.
  12. I just hate seeing so many quality players being lost in pre-season. Big loss but I don't think Shady is Houston's first impulse. No kidding. Who saw it coming?
  13. Just saw it. Brutal. the Indy front office never gave him support with a series of atrocious offensive lines. They ruined that kids career. What a waste of talent. Terrible.
  14. Well we agree. My guess is the coaches are not blase about it. And right now I'm on the St. Lawrence River with a scotch and Montecristo Churchill and relaxing just fine thanks.
  15. Okay, a real source. Wow, awful. Bad day in Indy.
  16. No source should mean no thread. C'mon.
  17. Aye, agree. Just want the kid to grow and be the guy. All I said is that it was a bone head pass that I hope he doesn't do in a real game and the Greek chorus of TBD christened him Brett Farve. Happy to if he learns from this.
  18. In the traditional dress rehearsal game of the preseason against a a team's number one D he reverted back to his college hero ball. Unlike you I didn't find it a good sign. If you think that's better decision making, there's not much I can say to you. Well how nice. Let's keep that formula and see how the real season goes. True, let's hope he learns when not to pull the trigger and when to let it rip.
  19. Not likely, been following the bills since 1963. As I said before Brett Favre had a 62% lifetime completion average. He was more accurate then Josh has shown so far. Maybe before you compare Favre and Josh you'll want to give Josh more than a year starting to base a judgment on. A gunslinger attitude could give you a Favre or can give you a Fitz. The jury is still out on Josh. I like to see him succeed but how about follow the rules before learning when to break them.
  20. I have. Never follow Fitz's? Farve had a career 62% completion rate. Maybe before you start comparing Josh to Favre you should get some more evidence than less than a year in the league. A gunslinger attitude goes both ways.
  21. I'm reacting to not seeing a growth of better decision-making that we were promised and seemed to be happening throughout training camp and the preseason. Hopefully the coaches "over react" as well so he doesn't do it again in the regular season.
  22. Theoretically I agree. But that throw was beyond the pale. Sorry. He's got to be smarter than that.
  23. So he's great? No he's still has a lot to prove and making good decisions is part of what he has to prove. I like him, want him to be the guy in the worst way, but we don't need another Fitz with brutal turnovers when the game is on the line. Throw that pass when it's 4th down, we're behind with a minute left and desperate, not on 2nd and 4 early in a game.
  24. You must miss Fitzy then. Hey if you think that was a smart throw, and accurate throw and an acceptable risk, then we just view the game very differently. I prefer to win for once. Josh should learn the rules first before knowing when to break them.
  25. Maybe, but I doubt the game situation Farve was in wasn't 2nd and 4 with nothing on the line and at a time you're supposed to be showing your growth in making better decisions. Defend it all you want, it was a terrible decision and he needs to stop it.
