  1. Nah, Foster never produced in college and wasn't near the route runner or has the ball sense that Ruggs posseses. Foster is raw. Ruggs will produce at this level I just wouldn't trade up for him. But comparing him to Foster is off base.
  2. Absolutely an arguable position. He's fast and jukey, but couldn't dominate on his own team. Seems light to me and I wonder how he'd do against NFL press coverage. Hey if this guy fell to us at 22 I'd do somersaults. I just don't see taking a chance on him being elite with that kind of price tag. I would need to see that elite status in college. Maybe a couple of thousand yard seasons and dominating on his own team would have helped me get there. He is a burner though with both quick separation and breakaway speed. As I told Virgil, if Beane deems it a risk worth taking I got to go with him.
  3. I see the talent and he's actually a decent size, I just don't see the value in trading up for him. If it happens gotta trust Beane on it. Nothing to do with Reed83HOF, great poster, just don't agree. BTW great job on this draft thread. A fun read for a Bill's fan in February!
  4. This. It just seems so evident that this is the way to go. Spain was solid considering what we had before but we need more from LG and a lot more at RT.
  5. I would just hate our draft if we traded up for Ruggs. We already have small speed. This is a deep draft for WRs and Edge. We need both. I guess you believe Ruggs is elite. I don't think he's anywhere worth the price you would pay.
  6. Well then which thread do we want? Let's open up a new thread about that!
  7. 100% agree. That's why I think a year with Greg Olsen would do well in Knox's development.
  8. He played 14 games last year, 52 catches and almost 600 yards, more than our TEs combined. Knox had 28 for 322 in 15 games. Sweeney 8 for 119 and penalty machine Lee Smith 4 for 31, Kroft 11 for 71. And he did that without Cam Newton. I think it's a solid move if we get rid of Croft and Smith.
  9. Beat me to it. Stefanski will call the plays. But great move for AVP. Good for him.
  10. Excellent news actually. Great role model for Singletary. Love Gore but it's time to hang them up. The HOF awaits.
  11. Yeah Sportrac is saying 5 year $50 million but well see. I'd take your scenario we're it the case but I think they like Knox as their #1. I just think they are going to put their money on signing our own and some midling depth players for competition.
  12. Agree. So he's not a leader, not everyone is. Good production these last two key games. Not worth the elite dollars but a really good receiver nonetheless. I just don't see the need to demonize the guy because he didn't work out here in Buffalo.
  13. I just don't see them dropping any FA coin on a TE. I think Kroft fit in well with Mcd's culture, and could be the veteran presence in that group if they move on from Lee Smith. I think they feel Kroft never got a chance to show what he can do on the field and with the cap room they have, why cut him? I think they'll go with Knox, Sweeney and Kroft.
  14. Star is not going anywhere. Dead money would make no sense. They will likely give Kroft another year.
  15. If he did that with kale, now that would be evil and badass!
  16. The meltdown will be epic!
  17. Ditto. Live to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth in Boston if Jimmy G wins a SB!
  18. Ditto. He has a great RB again and the it'll be fun to watch the Jints vs Jerruh twice a year
  19. Nice job MAJ B . I myself believe they'll begin working in Johnson next year and then move on from Poyer in 2021. He's been a quality safety and a bargain contract but clearly not going to be worth the payday he'll command afterwards.
  20. Beat me to it. What's to like about that?
  21. For sure, I just thought we give him a long look in spring. That said, I thought Motor was a midget that would get crushed between the tackles. Far from it. Lace'em up and let them play. Wade is small but powerful and fast.
  22. Change of pace power RB. He's hard to bring down.
  23. It just took a while before NFL DC's figured this out.
  24. In another thread oldmanfan suggests Christian Wade may be able to play that role. Interesting. Certainly should give him a thorough look in spring.
