  1. Great breakdown and great article. Thanks for posting it. Explains why Denver always had a relatively light OL but still produced great running games and 1,000 yard rushers.
  2. Another DI "Edwards is a Kitty" thread? Jesus, that's the third this week and it's only Monday!
  3. You shouldn't be more optimistic. You should lock yourself in a room with one 25 watt light bulb burning as you read the complete works of Jerry Sullivan and get it all out man! Wallow in your misery and agonize. Then go follow the following sports teams: The StL Rams, Pittsburgh Pirates, NJ Nets, Florida Panthers and the Northwestern College Football and either hit rock bottom yourself and end it all.........................
  4. Here's a thought, How about someone putting a poll up of the top three?
  5. Well, I've read them all. Juvenile? you bet. Silly really. But as long as we're sinking this low, you gotta go with..... THE OFFENSIVE LOIN! Brilliant
  6. I disagree with your premise here. All the players you tagged as "no improvement" does not take into account another year under their belts, better coaching and a offensive scheme that will be more tailored to their skills. Nelson will be better because he's got a year of playing under his belt and will see a better scheme, etc. so your analysis is just faulty.
  7. I think this is dead on. Why pass if you can run five-six yards a pop. That said, Jauron knows his secondary and we have a great group. A pass rush will make them better.
  8. Agreed. We saw one NT drop to the 4th or 5th round and Cody will be backing up Ngata after being picked farther down in Round 2. Buddy saw all of the NT's and had his choice between the remaining top 3. He liked Troup. I like is reasonings. Cody weighs more, but is a mass of fat up top. Troup is lighter than Cody but has the majority of his weight in his legs and it's muscle. NT's drive with their legs. Troup played every down in college. He won't have to do that here. So I'm going with what Buddy thinks. Could we have gotten him later? Maybe, but if you really wan the guy, get him while you can.
  9. \ I'd take some future draft picks. Remember how it felt not to have one more choice in the 3rd or 4th round? Let's stockpile some picks.
  10. Nick, Thanks for asking. Be more like Simon and less like Schopp. I listened to Schopp in Rochester (first time around) and Buffalo and stopped listening in both cities. He hates his job and holds fans in disdain and likes to beat up less learned callers. He's a punk and makes it sound like he's doing us a favor by broadcasting. Bulldog on his own is fine but puts his manhood in a blind trust with Schopp and agrees with whatever stupid thing Schopp says and laps like a cartoon dog. I don't mind honest criticism, but be balanced. Jerry Sullivan makes some good points, but he is incapable of ever saying anything positive. He drips negativity - sees the worst in everything and begins each day in a downward spiral. I think he sees his role as p*ssing in everyone's cheerios daily. I sometimes wonder if he ever has a good day in his life. I can't imagine his family life, everyone probably stays in their rooms and mopes. That's too bad because it makes me less open to Sullivan's sometimes spot-on criticisims and views. So, be tough, fair, a fan at heart and just don't be a d*ck.
  11. I wouldn't kick about the first two names. Light....gets beat by speed rushers. Adams, well maybe as a veteran presence. But any stop gap player is going to further delay the growth of the young guys.
  12. He's 6' 7" and 335 pds. Got the size but is too tall for NT. If we were in a 4-3, no brainer. But for a 3-4, doesn't fit.
  13. They let him go because he couldn't do what they wanted as an OLB. Where do we play him? We've got depth at ILB.
  14. Doesn't matter. She's underaged and drunk. He's got a gang of thugs keeping her friends away while PigBen has his way with her in a restroom. What the Hell don't you get about a guy like that? He's got a have a posse riding shotgun while he preys on drunk underage girls? Great guy. He's a pig, the world knows it now and people have already made up their mind about him regardless if there is enough "evidence" to convict him in court.
  15. Yup...that's how I see it. And that is fine by me. We're building.
  16. uh oh..now you've gone and done it. Prepare for a Darth Ice B'slappin' now. If I had to bet on it now I'd say you're right.
  17. He gave up the most sacks (7) of any guard last year. Let's give the new guys a chance to play and Improve.
  18. Great post! I'll make it the last I read tonight and get to sleep on a positive note for once!
  19. I'm trying to read this but I'm distracted by the busy signal going off in my head that begins three to five words into your well thought out post.
  20. Sorry Ice. My gut tells me they are going to give TE the benefit of the doubt on the chance that Jauron and bad OC's ruined the guy. You may be right (some other thread I think) you'll see a lot of checkdowns to Spiller, but that could be productive. I am getting more adept at reading Chan and Buddy and I think they believe TE is not done yet. Unless we see Brohm blossom right quick, I'm predicting TE behind center against Miami.
  21. Our division is tough and we play, what - 8 playoff teams? It will be a tough season, but I believe we'll be a tough game for anybody, particularly in the second half of the season. I look for steady improvement.
  22. I think Lynch will be moved but Buddy is a patient guy and wants fair value and not a 4th round pick. That will come as training camps start and injuries occur or during preseason.
  23. Didn't Fox love the Maybin pick and pan the Byrd pick (a reach they said, i think) Who cars what TV idiots think? Let's see if we can run the ball, stop the run and score some damn points next year.
