  1. Man I agree. I see some usually solid posters on TSW repeatedly say move him to RT. That just shows a lack of understanding the differences in the two positions. You nailed it so I won't repeat it but I wish others would start looking at other teams an see the difference in the style of play, how much space each plays in and how the TE and other OL positions work with both. It's two different positions, each with a set of requirements that are not always interchangeable.
  2. Well the injured guys coming back should make for an interesting TC. Batten, Coleman, Davis, Torbor, Meriweather for LBs and Edwards on the DL. Draft is the most important tool but I'd be surprised if they didn't make a run at some top FA's......providing there football next year at all.
  3. Usually I think Sully is more of an a**hole than a real sports writer but I get the thinking behind the column. I don't agree with it but it's a legit position. Let's see how it goes. It's way early. I think Spiller will be a great back. Worth a #9? We'll see.
  4. Following the OP's well thought out plan we'd have burned a #1 on Clausen, McCoy or Tebow. No offense but I'll get behind Buddy's plan.
  5. I didn't see a lot of swagger last night. They were pathetic.
  6. Coming off a major knee injury last year D. Bell has been solid. He's quick and moves well. Sonetimes he looks all pro leading a run block then other plays he looks pretty average. He's healing, learning and improving. He had a long day against Allen but who hasn't? It's way too early to say he's not the guy. I don't get the posters who blithely say move him to RT. He's not a power guy like an RT. He's a natural LT that I think will be damn good. See how long he'd last on the FA market.
  7. There's something to the notion that physically inferior players get injured more frequently. Our OL was awful last year and the most injured. Now our feeble LB Corp is decimated along with another rash of injuries to the OL. It's time to really concentrate on the trenches and LB's in the draft & FA. QB can wait.
  8. Hey Trooth...think of if as a career growth opportunity for you . You can go troll in a bigger city in D.C. or Denver. Pick one and go!
  9. Dork's just frustrated. Let he among you that hasn't felt this way cast the first stone. We all just want to win, but we all knew this season would be a bear...and it is. I still have faith in Chan & Buddy.
  10. All LT's get beat. Especially against a freak like Allen. D. Bell ain't the issue. RT and depth are as far as the OL goes.
  11. To begin with our OL, DL and LB's were suspect. Knock out multiple starters from each unit and you get what we got today. This shouldn't be a mystery.
  12. This entire thread is like what would happen if Jerry Sullivan and Mike Schopp somehow spawned offspring. Maybe Paladino could bring a baseball bat to OBD. The team is banged up and lost. Last week you guys weren't menopausal.
  13. Two extremes. Brown would have the Bills doing no wrong and Dope & Lab Dog have them doing nothing right. The rest of us live in teh middle and would appreciate some balance.
  14. That damn Moats..... Hey, the kid's got some game. With all the injuries at LB, DL and OL, we're about to see what the rest of the kids got.
  15. We're down a center, guard, his back up and a RT in a few games. Gosh, that can't have anything to do with it. As for you, why not join all the other "fans" who no longer post here? It would work out better for all of us.
  16. All that talent and physical ablity and stupid, stupid plays. He cost us at least 14 pts., and couldn't cover a fire hydrant today. With McGee declining and Leodis regressing......what? We draft a g'damn CB again?
  17. Bell had a bad game but by count one of a very few. McKelvin is brutal. Get beat for a TD then cough it up again. 14 Point turnaround thanks to Leodis
  18. One more time. Dont listen to those idiots! Dope is a Bills hater and Lap Dog is his Greek Chorus. Save yourself the heart burn and just shut them off.
  19. So Carrington is too small to be a 3-4 DE? You must be smarter than Buddy. What's your magic size for a 34 DE coach?
  20. I sort of disregard the first serveral games. They were awful and evaluationg talent and learning a new system. From Baltimore on, they started playing as a team and have been in every game since. There is still a talent drop off that will take a season or two to address. I like the trajectory, but you are correct, at the end of the day our record is all that remains. I still feel a lot better at 2 and 9 than I would have thought. It's because I see weekly improvement, heart and effort.
  21. Bruce Smith played at 265 - 270 for the most part. Carrington is 280.
  22. It is a real picture of it but I couldn't find a pic that had the neon lit up. It was a sequential dancing penis with a top hat and cane that the artist said was Mr. Peanut. Jimmy Griffen wasn't amused and ordered it bulldozed. A court order stopped it. It was set on Elmwood Ave. Nice catch.
  23. Amen on that. Smith doesn't crack my top 10. Also, albeit a career cut way too short, but at his healthy best, Bo Jackson was unstoppable.
  24. Agree. But a good RT is still a priority.
