  1. Was that before or after his suicide phase and dissing the coach phase? Whaddya done for me lately Vinnie? Not much. No thanks.
  2. Lke I said, some of this has to be owned by the DC. We need a 3-4 guru.
  3. That damn Fitz! Stevie too, why couldn't he just have sucked! And Jackson as well. We'll never win with them! Thank God for Sully and Mr. Negative or I'd be the only one that sees clearly!!!!!
  4. What? And give up on the maturation of our herd of TE's? Scaife would be a huge upgrade and if he's affordable, go get him.
  5. Screw the 4-3 and stay the course. Haynesworth is a pantload. Poz is average and we need better. We'll do a hybrid until we have the horses to make a solid 3-4 and it will be worth it. In he meantime, don't draft players that won't fit down the road.
  6. I was in Edward's corner until recently. 16 games in and still players were out of position and gaps not filled. A lot of that is squat for talent but I think we need a better DC.
  7. +1 No more one year wonders!
  8. Which are you - the son or the daughter?
  9. +1 Second one today for John. He's dead nuts on this. We need LB talent and we should draft for it and hit FA for it. If the guys named by the OP work out, great. We could use depth at that spot.
  10. You gotta be amazed at his candor. I never heard a coach lay it out like that. Remarkable. I do hope he doesn't think Pears is our answer at RT however.......
  11. +1 Why waste time on looking for an LT right now? We need a RT (and don't even start the the "move Bell to RT crap) What part don't you get about having 276 yards blasted up your gut by back ups?
  12. PTR - I say draft "D" all the way but you gotta take Luck if he's there at #3. Just for the sanity and protection of our beloved TSW posters! There'd be blood running down drains from the slit wrists from TSW. The wailing alone would scare dogs and squirrels for miles.
  13. Still in Boo-Frickity-Hoo mode are we?
  14. Always good to see this recapped....for the 1,000 time on TSW. (Never looks any better as well.) Nonetheless, our current GM is really only responsible for the 2010 draft and made it clear that he did not want any "one year wonders" (AKA Maybin) when he consulted on teh 2009 draft. So all we can do is hope Buddy is going to do better than the past regimes. I don't have a problem with last year's draft. I think we'll have some goodplayers for years to come from it....kinda like your suppose to. -
  15. He's an average player. Pay him the average for his position. He would provide quality depth.
  16. What part of getting trampled for 276 yards by a second string line do you not understand? What part of a record season for allowing 200-yard rushing games against us don't you get? How about giving up 30-plus points every g'damn week? Defense wins championships and we are pathetic. Screw the QB whining and get some d'damn defensive players in here!
  17. They took over a team with next to nothing for talent. This team has drafted terribly for ten years, has no playmakers and no identity. They made headway this seasona and it's ridiculous to think they would turn it around in a year. So grow up and gut it out.
  18. This ain't brain surgery. We need a DE, one, likely two ILBs and at least one OLB. Add to that a RT and. TE.
  19. Myth # 11: You're not over reacting and see clearly. You're half half right but calm down Beavis.
  20. Here's my problem. Neither Poz or Donte is great, they are both average. But how many fricken holes can we patch in a year? So we keep KW, Merriman, Carrington, Troup, Moats, Byrd, Florence and Dwan and let everyone else go? We need help at DE, NT, OLB, ILB. If we had a hint of a rush, the DB's would look better automatically.
  21. Ummm, by any measure anywhere and all due excuses aside....Brohm was horrible. We still gotta run the rock dammit. Front seven is #1 but you have to find at least a RT who can run block.
  22. I agree with you about our utter lack of talent defensively. But today, the 16th game of our season, I saw more players out of place than I could believe. Saftey's in the wrong place, wrong alignments...I just can't help but feel coaching does play a role here. While we need players, I would feel better with a proven 3-4 DC running the show.
