  1. I was just about ready to congratulate the thread for no one saying "hey, let's move Bell to RT!" but no, you had to go and do it. What part about the difference between LT and RT don't you get? Bell is not now, or weil ever be a RT! They are two eff'ing different positions that require different skill sets. Jesus watch some football before saying crap like that.
  2. Is this Dick Jauron?
  3. Im with Bangarang. How many undersized but fast tweeners do we want on our LB corps? The guy's the size of Keith Ellison...move on.
  4. Rather have Harris than Mankins. Go at him hard.
  5. Lovie's complete mishandling of the 4th down play was Pop Warner class. Raw QB with a 4th down and clock running and he sits on a TO instead of using it to calm the kid and team down. As for Cutler, if your going to stand and watch with a sprained MCL, hobble over and help your QB and cheer the team on. Cutler's a punk.
  6. He threw a TD Moulds.
  7. Your pining for the Donahoe - Levy - Brandon GM days? Were you living under a rock the past decade? The teams, talent, coaches and FO sucked. Some good individuals in each area but overall SUCK! You do what you want but I'm looking forward not back.
  8. Ahhh, logic and reasoned thought. What exactly you hope to accomplish with that on TSW is anyone's guess.
  9. Stupid draft experts...the last thing we need is another tweener with a great first step...... Pick Dareus and get a stud 5 technique DLman and let's start pounding on some OL's. Dareus, Troup, KW in a 3-4 with Edwards and Carrington in rotation or in a hybrid 4-3 is a nice place to build from. Then let's talk LB's.
  10. Why? This guy's a great defensive coach and at last check, our D blows. This is a good thing.
  11. True, but it's year one of a scheme change. We didn't have the right talent but at least we didn't get pushed around like boys playing men like Jauron's D did every 4th quarter. I hated that small fast crap and if you are waxing nostalgic you should be loving Cleveland this year.
  12. Hey, the OP did some solid work here and I for one don't buy into the "no decent FA will come here" arguement. It is likely KC would never let Hali get away but stranger things have happened. I do agree with the basic premise of the OP's thinking. Go big on DL with the number one pick but concentrate on the LB's after that. Our DL with (Fairley - Darius - Bowers) Troup, Carrington, KW, Edwards and some key back ups should develop nicely. Brady won't be frightened at first but as they develop, watch out. Our LB's are awful and that's where we need to shop and draft well.
  13. I can't figure it. Is he going to flip to a 4-3 tampon-two with little guys getting their butts pushed all over the field by the Steelers and Ravens? Maybe he can take Kelsay, Poz and Leodis with him. What part of "suck" don't the Browns get?
  14. It would be fun to hear your take on "Bills sign Tom Brady" I imagine that would really show how low and stupid the FA is.....Christ, get a grip!
  15. I'm sure this will start with the apologists for his Trent-like performance versus the Jets. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-patriots-bradysurgery
  16. Are safeties worth a top 5 pick? NO
  17. I thought exactly the same thing. Let's hope he goes hard to the D this draft and get some playmakers in here. We can't keep puking up 200 yards a game on the ground!
  18. He was joking. Besides it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see who's left standing now...four cold weather teams. How many warm weather teams have won the SB in the last ten years? Depending on what you think cold is, six or seven of the ten were cold weather places. (Tampa, New Orleans and Baltimore count as warm...up to you to rate Indy. It gets plenty cold there as well) So if he he likes playoffs and championships.....start stocking up on under armor.
  19. Try checking rosters before making such an analogy. The Bears had far more talent thant the Bills but majorly underachieved. The Bills had a bad team and bad coaching and a gimme game when the starters didn't play. You can't compare those two teams.
  20. Or rather they were exposed as the second rate defense they are. Brady was again exposed as the closet Dan Marino he is. Both guys react like pussies when they get hit or the D shuts down their little pass route favorites. They they both scream at their line and receivers...anybody but themselves is the problem. I loved little tommy getting roughed up and looking like Trent in the pocket. Just like Marino used to do when he got pummeled. They are great during the season and exposed by physical teams and they haven't been in the big dance in six years. And before you say it....yes they are many times better then the Bills and have been. Still they are not the annointed team they make out to be. You can push them around and I can't wait until the Bills beat them.
  21. We need some bodies in camp and Brohm's outta here. Why not get a later rounder...could be a Brady. You never know.
  22. I'd take either draft but prefer the Barbarian's
  23. Did love the thread, but the more I think about drafting a FQ, the more I remember our D on the field puking up 200 plus yards on the ground and opposing QB's having the time to tweet while looking for open receivers. We just have to get some playmakers on D. It looks like there's a few more of them to be had then a FQ this draft. Let's just get some front 7 help.
  24. Please TSW, for once and for all get off the "move Bell to RT" crap. Hemet is dead nuts on this. Bell is not a RT and won't be. Bell made gains this year, without any time for conditioning and strength training due to rehabbing his knee. He should be better and stronger next year...but he's not a RT. Let's go get one in FA or the draft and stop thinking tackles can be flip flopped and be effective.
