  1. Give the guy a break....I'm sure he meant violating a whole bowl and not a single piece of cereal. Hope it's not Flutie Flakes.
  2. Other than Suh and Matthews, not many rooks on DL or LB make a big impact in their first year. BJ Raji didn't and he's looking good now. Ngata didn't set the world on fire early on as well. To call Troup and Carrington a project at this point is just wrong. We should expect good things from them this season if there is a season.
  3. He seems a click or two up from Cornell Green. If we're going to get a qualtiy OT, let's set our sights a little higher.
  4. I would agree with the OP if there was a FQB worth taking at #3 but there isn't. It's a moot point. Let's build our D.
  5. Dareus is not a NT. DT and DE yes. NT no. I still want him however.
  6. Top 3 Guitarists 1. Hendix (No discussion on this) 2. Segovia 3. Stevie Ray Vaughan Films 1. Unforgiven 2. Blade Runner 3. Wings of Desire
  7. I meant to say screw Texas except for the strong Bills contingent there, but certainly screw the rest of them. Just hate hearing people whine about having to not wear flip flops to the SB. C'mon, man-up.
  8. Screw Dallas, screw Texas and let it snow and be cold. Pittsburgh and Green Bay will be right at home so the Hell with the everybody else. As for the SB in NJ, I say great. If you don't like, stay home and tell the rest of the pansies to bring a damn snuggie.....
  9. Good post and I have to agree. I'd love to see Dareus on this team. That said, LB, LB, LB must be the mantra. (oh, and one RT as well)
  10. #1 is LBs without a doubt. #2, tough choice but I went with RT/OT. The DL should have our second year guys step up. Troup at NT, KW at DE and Edwards/Carrington at DE. That said, I'd draft Dareus, the best available ILB and an OLB. I'd get a RT via FA. Frankly, I wouldn't resign Poz. He's just too slow to cover.
  11. I get the OP's point, and ultimately he's right. Still, I want to see some action on our front seven. I get that the FO feels they have addressed the DL with Troup, KW, Carrington and Dwan Edwards. But even if the second year guys really stop up on DL, our LB corps is awful. I don't think they should resign Poz, he just cannot cover. Draft ILBs and pick up another OLB in the draft or FA. Get a real RT and I think we're going to be head and shoulders better. At #3, we should get a game changer, impact player on D. That's my hope anyhow and let's see how it plays out.
  12. Since you know a lot more about him than we do, where would he be a good pick? Later first or is he later rounds in your opinion?
  13. Rooting for the Pack (their QB is not a rapist and love to see Rodgers get the Farve stigma over with) but the Steelers look damn good. They will put a lot of pressure on Rodgers and I'm not sure the GB running game will get going against the Steelers. We'll see. Steelers 24-17.
  14. We're not bringing in Soliai. That's not how the plan is laying out from my observations of Buddy and Chan. They drafted their NT last year along with their DE in Troup and Carrington respectively. Remember that Chan and Buddy both feel the players in year two are the ones who will really help the team, not rooks. They are not going to drop big bucks on what they think we already have. IMO, the line will be Troup NT, KW at DE an Edwards and Carrington at DE, unless they feel Dareus is too awesome to pass up. Stroud is done. They are going to concentrate on ILB and OLB. They won't resign Poz and go for bigger, stronger ILB's in FA and in the draft. (little chance Harris will be available but that would be a helluva pick up) They will likely draft another OLB and use Merriman on one side and Moats working in as back up. I agree that guard is a long shot, but we really need a competent RT that can run block. So that may come in the draft of FA or trade. Honestly, looking at how they have acted and what they say, I don't think we'll see a ton of movement on the DL. They feel they have the pieces an that our LB's flat out suck, which is hard to argue.
  15. Wow, a Hunter college grad in 2009 and a lifelong NYC sports team fan. Hell, this mock should be taken as gospel.
  16. This is Andy Reid writing isn't it?
  17. I don't think we'd be better with Jimmy Clausen at QB.
  18. How the Hell does Kiper make a living with the crap he spews. He's still making excuses for his pet picks, (see Clausen) and is a master of the obvious. That aside it's too early to grade this draft. We'll know more next year. I expect big improvement from Troup, Carrington, Moats and some flash from Easley. I think we all expected more from Spiller and he has to step it up and learn the pro game running inside the tackles. All you can say is we'll see. For me, of all of the draft wonks....Kiper's the one I trust the least.
  19. Really, then by your estimation BJ Raji was a failure because he didn't light'em up in his rook year either....but he's looking pretty good at the end of season two though. But you're right, let's just give up on Troup because, after all, he didn't make the Pro Bowl in his rookie season. Why can't we all see that clearly........
  20. I wish the league would have forced Tomlin on the Bills before we hired DJ.
  21. +1 No more LB-Saftey tweeners who get swallowed up or pushed away by OL with little difficulty. We need to get bigger.
  22. Hope all works out for the Eagles and for Kolb, but that the Bills don't answer that phone call.
  23. Not sure Kerrigan is worth a top pick and definately we don't need Matthews, too small.
  24. Then we agree. I just don't see the value in burning stomach lining stewing about things that are over and done or things that you have little control over. Modrak is there and presumably, Buddy is okay with it. Buddy's the guy I'm going to hold accountable, not Modrak.
