  1. Thanks John, as lame as it sounds, I just keep thinking about FA, picking up a RT and looking forward to the draft. I have to deal with litigation and union issues all the time and I would love it if we could just talk football! Thanks for hanging in at TSW.
  2. John, Nice b'slap of Spartacus. Now back to the point. Where the Hell are we now? I can't see a court telling owners they can't lock out just because a few high profile QBs sue.
  3. +2 This. It's time to pick a real difference maker in Dareus.
  4. Give me Dareus or give me death.... Well at least I'd be PO if they didn't pick him.
  5. NGU! Good to hear from you. I was hoping you'd say they like Dareus. Great you are back!
  6. My best case scenario at #3 Dareus Bowers trade down No to any QB's or lightweight, fast LB's, DB's or receivers. Go big and nasty.
  7. Cooz was never more than OK. He turned into Kelly so all's well. Barber was old school and to be fair to the FO at the time, things were changing in light speed with player's attitudes, agents and salaries at the time. While an interesting tidbit from the past,I hardly think this is relevant at all today.
  8. I could live with any of those scenarios. Interesting piece from Astro - thanks.
  9. Reading the OP felt like talking to a customer service rep in Bhopal. I'm not certain what the point was, or is. And Maybin was not a luxury pick, he was a bad pick .
  10. ...and finish dead last against the run again.
  11. That would be my preferred scenario. A solid signing for depth. After pulling guys off the street the past two years it would be nice to have quality depth on the OL.
  12. +1 And don't discount BB having some intel on a divisional opponant. Yes they are miles better but BB knows we will be better this year. BB uses any and all methods to stay on top...as we all know.
  13. Sounds like we exactly don't need - and undersized LB with questionable desire for the game. At least our undersized LB's seem to like football.
  14. Makes me more sure that we will go D in the draft. You don't bring in a Dave Wannstedt in and give that title and a special job to coach ILB's than say here's Poz and good luck. We'll pick some beef up front to keep the OL off the LB's and some ILB help.
  15. Stevie Johnson, Jabari Greer, Terrance McGee, Wes Welker....I don't know, seems like WR and CB's come from all over and not always in the first round. This year we're going to be developing a nice group of recievers in which all but one came in the early rounds. At CB, the shakiest guy we have was a first rounder. You can lack a little up front on the OL if you have a top 5 QB, etc. Every team is different and I still beleive you have to run the ball and stop the run as a starting point to build a winner. Exceptions to the rule? You bet, but as a rule, that's the way I'd go.
  16. I'm a Dareus fan. He is stout on the run and amazingly fast and quick for a guy that size. He's versatile and can move inside on stunts and has speed rush and bull rush moves. Love to see him in a Bills uni.
  17. Link? Edit: oops, found it.
  18. I just don't get this fixation with Matthews. He has maxed out his frame and is still too small. We already have our quota of little LB's. As for Miller...too reminiscent of Maybin. Chan wants size on the DL and ILB and that's what we will draft, not little guys at LB.
  19. Sort of sums it up for a lot of us. At the end of the day we got to trust that if Chan and Buddy think CN is the deal we'll take him. If not, we'll get a great player to help our D.
  20. Point taken! I will take one for the team and stay the eff home!
  21. You can't teach accuracy or decision making. Trent failed with only one of the deficits mentioned. He was accurate but couldn't take the speed of the game decision wise. Locker is a nice project for someone in the late rounds.....hopefully it won't be us.
  22. I went to two draft parties at RWS. The first we picked Eric Flowers. It took me a long time to get over that, but I did. and attended the last one where we picked Maybin. Combine those two experiences and you find yourself in the fetal position for days at a time.
  23. How do you think both would do playing behind our line and with our defense on the field for 70% of the game?
