  1. I agree on all points. Add to it a lack of quality instruction for Carrington and Troup and a soft, small and slow LB group and you got what we got. No way we don't improve this year.
  2. I believe that for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows.
  3. Maybe he thought you were Lou Saban.
  4. I never understood the Ralph hate. He made some bonehead decisions but he kept our team here. That puts him in my HOF.
  5. This is the sanest post of the thread...and the most in keeping with what is going on here. Once again Crayonz has had some fun at the board's expense. And we keep falling for it!
  6. Exactly what I expected from you Alpha. So you trust you little article and precious stats. I'm with you 100%. By your argument and by what the article says....in the AFC East, only Brady is better that Fitz under pressure. So what's your beef with Fitz again?
  7. Crayonz......got me scratching my head. So if the D sucks and stays on the field for a dozen plays at a time that means all the good O guys we drafted won't see the field. A good D also creates points and gives the O great field position....why the Hell am I discussing this? Jeezy Creezy let's get the damn lockout over and talk real football.
  8. Probably one of the dumbest articles I've seen. So Sanchez,Henne and Farve rank BELOW Fitzy. Fine. That means in the AFC East, only Brady is better. Whatever. Those stats are just crap to read while waiting for football to begin again. All I can tell you is when you get into the face of any QB they look really average. Brady, Marino, all of them. You pressure them and they don't look so great. This speaks more to our OL than anything else right now. It amuses me that so many on this board (and on this thread) get so high and mighty on "Fitz is not a franchise QB." So? He's better what was available to us in the Draft and Chan and Buddy will go get a guy who's better when and if they appear.
  9. Hondo, send me your updates and I won't have to spend so much time on this board!
  10. Grew up Buffalo but have lived in many other places for 25 years. Now I live just down the 90 in Rochester. The Bills are just part of who I am and nothing can displace them. It's kinda weird when I consider how much real estate the team occupies in my thoughts. I'm on this board a couple of times a day. The first time I heard the term "Bills Nation" I knew I belonged and would forever.
  11. Interesting point on how the Bills will be less affected by the lock-out than many other teams. It was nice to read a straight up piece on the Bills instead of the usual sneering and dissing we often receive. Thanks for posting.
  12. Your posts in particular make it a wasted thread. Not to mention you used up your annual allotment of emoticons and it's only May.
  13. wow, when global mods and hall of famers mix it up it's a fun read. The rest of TSW should model the respectful tone! That said, the OP is dead on here. Wilson is letting the football guys call the shots and for the first time in a long time, our FO actually has football guys running it.
  14. Your take is just how I see it. You'll see Carrington, Troup, Batten, Moats and Spiller making much bigger contributions this year. Add to the mix Wannstache and I expect our D to be a lot better.
  15. I completely agree. Getting Whaley in the first place tells us the Buddy is thinking years ahead and picking his successor. I loved that about Buddy. Since the first day I heard him talk, he just put my mind at ease about our future. Finally a football guy calling the shots. Buddy, Chan and Whaley are a great team and I haven't heard Russ speak in quite awhile. This team is being built right and from the trenches out. LOVE IT!
  16. We just ran a 4-3 for ten years and we sucked. There's a reason why teams like a 3-4 - it works. Besides, we're running a hybrid. I also liked Moneyball, but the team that most exemplifies the concept is the Oakland A's, and they winn a lot of games but now championships. The Red Sox and Cheatriots use aspects of the concept but they drop a ton of green behind it to get to the top.
  17. A thread is a terrible thing to waste....
  18. No, because Napoleon would have ruled Europe so the Kaiser would never have risen to power and.... Well you see how this would affect the whole Norwood question.
  19. What a waste of a thread.
  20. What if Napolean had a B-2 bomber?
  21. Agreed. KW should have been on the list - but that's where it ends. Now for next year, Dareus will break into that group!
  22. Stroud is a class individual and was a great player. I'd wish him much success but only if he gets out of the AFC East!
  23. cid:1.3354074310@web114305.mail.gq1.yahoo.com How the He'll does that not fire you up? I can't wait to see this guy suit up.
