Bills fan response chart to free agency
Green Lightning replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jeezy Creezy, relax the Sphincter and smile. PTR's post was damn funny and any long time user of TSW knows that. If you can't have some fun on a fan board for your football team you're going to a walking spasm by seasons's end. Football is fun and you have an NFL team! Life is good! -
A scat back like Chan wanted...only a proven one! Let's hope Spiller can perform this year. While Bush is a nice pick up, I'm not that worried about Miami this year. My mind is on the new wall of AH and Wilfork we'll see twice a year in NE.

Albert Haynesworth to New England for 2013 5th re pick
Green Lightning replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no way to wave off how effective a move this was for NE. AH in a DT spot for a frequent 4-3 alignment in a BB defense will be huge. There's no way to not see collapsing pockets and lots of roll outs, etc. You're not going to run inside on that wall. It means we're not catching NE this year or maybe next. But it's not doomsday. If Nix sees that kind of wall to play twice a year, it should light a more of a fire to get a quality RT this year. Get bigger, stronger or get gone. The AH signing is just another wake up call for our FO to step it up. For that, I'm happy. -
Bills interested in OT Tyson Clabo
Green Lightning replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spend some time in Atlanta. The city is about 500,000 and what we would call burbs is about 3.5 million. The traffic is just insane. You can drive to work on Sunday in 20 minutes. During the week, plan for close to an hour. You spend your life traffic and the area looks like Sheridan drive on steroids. If a player is looking for quality of life, you'll have a better fit in Buffalo. It's not just about night life. Clabo's decision will likely have to include who's closer to the big dance....and the Falcons are really close. Still, they are capped out and we have some coin. Let's hope if works out. -
It's true he was effective that night, but that's only because no one tried a speed rush or swim move.

Buddy Nix Looking at Players other Teams Do NOT Want
Green Lightning replied to Owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, and Christmas is ruined as well! Damn you Buddy......Modrak has gotta be behind this somehow....bastards....it's getting dark out....and raining all over the earth....Damn you Bills.........is anyone out there? Poz? Anyone? -
Buddy Nix on WGR550 this morning....
Green Lightning replied to Jdragon2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, it was a sucky interview to endure after losing a player we were told we are targeting under the "draft, develop and resign" our own talent Buddy Nix system. But upon further review, there's really not much more meaningful he could have said. Never confuse activity with results. We just have to be patient and see how the FO responds to this. I don't think Buddy wants to go into the season with a vet coming off a major injury and two rooks at ILB. Wannstache will weigh in. Boys, let's see what he does. There is ILB talent out there and I gotta believe we're going to sign one. And if all fairness, $7 mil for Poz? Really? I'd be furious if they paid him that. Right now, I'm not furious, just uneasy. Maybe that's why I'm not a GM! -
Strong chance that the Jets
Green Lightning replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they want to gut their team to have two great CB's, fine. Maybe we'll finally get a TE to take advantage of that. -
Bring back Langston Walker
Green Lightning replied to Buffalo Mike1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I agree it would be an upgrade, I can't believe we cannot do better in FA and not break the bank. C'mon Buddy. -
Schefter Reporting on Some Cuts
Green Lightning replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's injured. Had abdominal surgery and it's an issue. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2011/07/patriots_to_rel.html -
I think this is correct. I'm behind Buddy's building philosophy 100%. But you cannot just ignore a chance through FA to fill a major hole on your team. To break the bank on the "so called" top 10 FA's may not make sense. Don't tell me there it's only a choice between signing a player the caliber of a Nnamdi Asomugha or signing another stiff like Cornell Green. Don't tell me there's no area for this team to bring in one or two solid starters to improve this team. Making a splash for me would be to find a decent starting RT, maybe a safety or ILB and just for crazies...a TE.

If the Bills don't sign any help this year, FA period
Green Lightning replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they took the money they p*ssed away on Cornell Green and Kelsay, they could sign a starting RT. They don't have to be huge spenders in FA, but to ignore a significant signing that will improve this team and instead sign a few stiffs for the same money in aggregate, would be such an opportunity lost and money wasted. I remain hopeful they can bring in people to contribute in a few key areas. Hell, I would be happy if they could sign one starter who would improve on what we have. I have faith in Nix to draft well and fundementally build the team in that way. But to brush off any significant FA signings is a blind spot in his vision for this team. -
Like many Americans, I have libertarian tendencies
Green Lightning replied to Hplarrm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow,trying to find some football in here. All the attempts at ideology being pure and applying it to the NFL is specious. The NFL evolved to what it is now and trying to fit the model into anything that makes sense in anyone's philosophy will end up with a thread like this one. Besides, if you look at what's happening in Greece, you'll soon realize the generational war has begun and the gorging boomers (me included in that age grouup) have financed the future of our kids to a point where they can't carry the load. So ultimately we will bankrupt the economic systems, whatever they may be, in our respective countries. At that point, football should be less expensive. So for the purpose of this thread, let's refrain from re-engineering the NFL via our personal views on individual and mass governance. Let's just use democracy. I'll start. Do we like the draft? Yes. Do we like free agency? Yes. Do we tolerate bloated owners and greedy players? Yes, as long as they they play the damn game and stop with the lock-outs and strikes. Play football. I vote we play football and refrain from social re-engineering of the NFL. -
Eric Wood vs. Ndamukong Suh video breakdown...
Green Lightning replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I gotta agree. Bell is the guy I'm focusing on. Woods will be our center. Then Urbik and Pears with Hairston emerging the following season. That said, questions around Urbik's lack of impact on a poor Pitt OL is puzzlement. -
Fitz vs Baltimore video breakdown…
Green Lightning replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alpha is a Fitz hater. No question those two picks but that's what gunslingers do. He gave us a chance to win when nobody thought we could. Short story is Fitzy has earned the r!ght to lead this team and I for one can't wait to see what he can do as the starter with some talent around him. Hey San Jose. Did I read you were a BNY slum? Same here. -

Why I think Jasper will not make the team
Green Lightning replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The theory is bunk. Jasper would eat any and all peas and okra and anything else that didn't move....or he could catch. -

Here's A QB Question ?? In Lock out Mode !!
Green Lightning replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pass. Why bring in someone with a proven record of failed expectations. Let's move on. -
I think your summation is a bit more precise than mine was so I think your post should take primary position here. Apparently by your scale, we are on #3. Mods?
-
Let's sum it up: The OP is having a wishful thinking day about a player, but others point out that wishful it may be, but it could happen. But another poster (in this case jumbalaya) makes the point most agree with but just does it in a nasty name-calling way that many of the board a tired of reading. Let's see, this is representitive of about 2/3rds of the threads on TSW.

I think he's actually a real Minotour....which would make him a true beast and of course an excellent nose tackle.,

Fitz Harvard degree could be regarded as a negative?
Green Lightning replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah that bomb to Stevie in OT against Pittsburgh was an Ivy League heave for sure. -
Fitz Harvard degree could be regarded as a negative?
Green Lightning replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah c'mon everybody, let's hate on Fitz. He's crap and you all know it. Stop kidding ouselves. He's not Jim Kelly. Let's all get stuck on the old K-Gun days and whenever something good is noted about Fitz let's dismiss it and cry about not having a HOF QB. Why can't we all just sh*t on Fitz?
