  1. Good thought. I think they want a find a way to have him on the field in their Hybrid 34-43, but he's a natural 5 technique guy.
  2. Carrington's gotta play to learn all the tricks. I'll tell you this, he's a beast on a bull rush and when he learns to seal the edge and disengage from blockers, he's going to be a force. The guy just needs to play...and maybe learn from light's out. People were thinking Merriman should have made a bigger splash, but he played a great game and must be accounted for on every play.
  3. People on this board have been saying it for years. If you want the national boys to notice you, win baby.
  4. Impossible. Like taking the Coe College out of a Fred Jackson profile....ain't gonna happen. You have to remember, to the national media, it's like introducing Fitzy to the world everytime they write about him.
  5. Well, I've followed the team since 1963 and the "how are we going to step on it" has been played out so many times that it's just an honest feeling. If I wasn't an eternal optimist, I wouldn't be a fan for 48 years. It will take a few more wins to lose that reflex. But I wonder just how many of us long termers didn't have the fleeting thought I just expressed. Hell, I won't apologize for it, I'll just do what I do... cheer my brains out at the Ralph next week!
  6. Yes they do. Two full seasons gone? If if it is not a critical disease and something self inflicted (Kellen Winslow-esque) someone needs to say somthing.
  7. Well PTR, If everyone on this board were being truthful, we all thought that at halftime....how the Hell are they going to bone this? My brother and I text through the game and we both had that thought. Rodney's a good reporter and like anyone else on the job, reporters talk sh*t to each other. The only real measure is what their article or report says. Rodney's been a solid reporter so I wouldn't hold this against him.
  8. Glad it's a good day for you B'tone. I have to admit I was rooting for the Fins though. The enemy of my enemy is my friend...even if it's an enemy! Since the Pats are my most despised team, it means twice a year I root for the Jets and Fins.....it's weird to be sure.
  9. JW, Promo described a coat and your the one saying that it fits you. You are making it personal and it wasn't intended that way. I've spent 25 years in the media as a reporter, news director and producer. I can say based on my experience that nobody has a thinner skin than do members of the media. We are a defensive lot.
  10. I watched, listened, paced and did chores to occupy my angst. When they went up 41-7, I boldly announced to my wife, "I knew they'd do we'll today."
  11. Dickies run D looking familiar!
  12. OK, KC not with A game....but this Bills team was well coached, well prepared, tough in both trenches and played with discipline and passion. Dammit what a great day! Can't wait go be at the Ralph next week!
  13. Take Jay Z out and insert Run DMC....then we're good. Now WTF was the OP' point?
  14. Guys..it's a nice, positive thread. Can't we just just have one that stays the way it started? OP, great post and I too use this site as my home away from home. I hear what you're saying and feel what you're feeling. Go Bills!
  15. Wow...with all the ab and core work he did in the offseason it's surprising it's a back injury. Hopefully his conditioning will mean a shorter recovery.
  16. Thanks for this! I have to shake my head when I read crap like I'm reading in this thread. KW is not a typical NT, Troup is. Big difference in what they are expected to do. That and the guy has a freakin' club for a hand right now. At this time last year, B.J. Ragi was struggling after a lackluster first year. He turned on during his second year and I see no reason why Troup won't follow suit.
  17. The best thing to do is not to listen, and tell the Program Director why you no longer listen.
  18. I think the quote was people are more concerned about where a player is from rather if they can play. Sounded like a judgment on Naamen but you could be right in your take. Either way it's welcome news here.
  19. C'mon Senator, root for the team but try to be realistic: Bills 44 Chiefs 3
  20. Eball says it right and says it best..... +1 (BTW - GOOD LUCK FITZY!)
  21. This welcome news, but confusing. Buddy sounded pretty negative in his interview yesterday when asked about Roosevelt. Seems like a one day turnaround.
  22. Probably a better way to go - pick the worst line that started together. Winans, Kampa and Yeates would certainly qualify as bad. Usually even babmd lines had a decent player or two. There is a much deeper line up of bad Bills lines on offense.
  23. Compile your own All-Star worst Bills Starting DL: The McPEW line Mike McBath Walt Patulski Earl Edwards Waddy Harvey Or the PAC-TAK Line Jerry Patton Al Cowlings Bob Tatarek Mike Kadish
  24. I seem to seldom agree with Turbo but he's right on all accounts here. A one year turnaround on the DL....and the little guy us our NT!
  25. Coleman is slower and that's why Moats stuck. Moats can rush the passer and fill in at ILB. Not a headscratcher.
