  1. Why would you begrudge a long suffering Lions fan of his joy in making the playoffs? Relax homer...it's not an attack on the Bills because another historically bad team makes the playoffs. It should give us hope.
  2. I think this is a fair statement. RW has always hated to pay for top coaches and FO personnel. It's been my major beef with him.
  3. I have to agree with this. At least some thought came out of this otherwise unremarkable original post.
  4. From the mouth of babes....a injured rook calls out the big boys
  5. Scott Norwood and Carlester Crumpler. Really doesn't matter what was. I mean you can spend you life looking forward or backwards. We just had 12 crappy football seasons and I really don't care to assign blame to any one person. Ralphie coughed up the bucks when asked and the management got us Dockery and Langston freakin' Walker. There's plenty of blame to go around and frankly I don't give a damn. What's coming is all I care about.
  6. Jesus Beavis, calm the Hell down! What do you want the guy to do, have spasms and shout? He's doing and saying the right things.
  7. The diff is we were paying him millions while the jets gave him minimum. He wasn't and still isn't worth it.
  8. I hope Buddy will make some changes and put Chan on notice to improve. He needs to lay down the smack and get new DC and an OC.
  9. Great post and I agree with 90% of it. I don't think you give up on players after 2 years. Troup and Carrington should be brought back. By your measure you would have cut Eric Moulds and Bruce. Kelsey and Davis are depth players so why cut them? At least bring them to camp. I wouldn't give up on McKelvin. Some coach will get something out if him so let's get a DC who will figure it out. Brad Smith was an expensive mistake.
  10. I'm with the OP almost 100%. I'll take a pass rusher before a TE. Chan has to run the damn ball more and give Spiller more carries.
  11. The OP is right. Chan's "pass no matter what" play calling lost us games. Not running Spiller more these past 4 games is beyond stupid. The kid became a weapon and Chan chose to run a practice squad cast off and to throw to 3rd and 4th string receivers instead. Just crazy.
  12. Gailey should stay but giving Spiller 16 carries? Really? The kid is finally a productve RB and Chan instead throws to multiple 3rd and 4th string receivers. Week after week of really poor play calling and a stubborn refusal to go to what is working. I am really concerned about him continuing as OC.
  13. I'd be lying if I said Chan's little use of Spiller and crazy long balls on short yardage situations don't have me concerned. Hope he doesn't try to "save Spiller"tomorrow for next week cuz............
  14. Was nice to see some of our guys on that list. We need to solve this injury issue and have another solid draft. We have a solid core of talent to build on. I am concerned about Bell and Urbik's injuries.
  15. Word. I really support Chan, but his handling of Spiller erodes my confidence in him. I hate to say oit but Buddy Ryan would figure out how to use CJ.
  16. He's here. Not so much Cable Lady. You just lost your coach and we just lost another year. Hard times continue in Nickel City and we deserve better than this. The Fish are awful this year... but take solace in the fact we are worse. Other than the Colts..we have to be the worst team in the league. Welcome back to TSW!
  17. Oh please. Maybin couldn't stop an NFL running back without a taser and a can of pepper spray. He's basically a slow safety who is worth about the NFL minimum the Jests are paying him. I'd pick him up for the minimum but millions? Move on. Kelsey is ten times the player that Maybin is.
  18. :-0 You have to admit his name is a winner.
  19. OP. That was along a**ed post - longer than Reggie Corner's highlight reel. The guy is good depth but really that's about it.
  20. !@#$ Tim Tebow. There, I said it and it felt good. And this is the last time I'm going to read this sorry-assed thread.
  21. Pretty solid list OP. Hard to argue, but I can't see Kelsay going anywhere. Hand on the ground, he's been solid. Jury still out on Sheppard. We need a run thumper. I agree with San Jose, just because a player isn't elite, we need depth in a big way. We also need to pick up a veteran RB who still has some miles left.
  22. Hey OP, great post and good to hear from someone not locked into the upward soaring and then the death spirals of Bills fandom. I like your reasoning but I also like what Rubes had to say: 1. pass rush 2. pass rush 3. pass rush 4. pass rush 5. deep threat wide receiver Maybe I would put a QB or super TE in one of the first four, but if we keep letting QB's have enough time ponder the nuances of life and then toss the damn ball, we're never going to get better. Nothing is more pleasurable to watch than Brady on his *ss two seconds after the snap. He doesn't look so awesome then!
  23. You got it right. Antics and just plain stupid behavior aside, when's the last time you saw a reciever tear up Revis Island? Stevie is 25 with a ton of talent. Growing up can be accomplished and mature behavior taught - deke'ing out the premier defensive player of the league cannot. Lock'em up and let's move on.
