  1. Gosh sue me. Not at will but hung 24 of their 31 points on us on offense with a rookie last string QB.
  2. They played against a 4th string QB.
  3. Hey, if you're happy with this D, good for you. It's not good enough and not coached well enough to get us over the top in my opinion. If you feel otherwise, then we disagree. I'm happy for the change.
  4. This D has failed at every big moment. It's great against lesser teams but cannot get off the field against good QBs. Miami seemingly scored at will and Cincinnati took their foot off the gas when they saw we just quit. The D game has passed McD by and he needs to get new blood and new schemes if we area to make it to the top of the mountain. This coaching staff is just not good enough. If McD calls the D with another figurehead DC we'll be having the same conversation in 2024 with another year of Josh's prime out the window.
  5. I still can't get passed 13 seconds. One of the biggest moments in team history and the D they dialed up was beyond pathetic. Our D finished the last few games this season in lackluster and confused fashion. The Cincy game put me over the top. There is talent on our D, I hope to see a new DC bring it out. All the stat-heads will point to our record and where our D finished in the standings. But when it is crunch time our coaches are just less then our opponents' coaches. Three years of a SB window wasted. Time for a change.
  6. I think keeping our DC and OC are harder decisions.
  7. Honestly didn't occur to me but it is a good thought. I have a tendency to say if something ain't broke, don' t fix it. I'm not sure Benford is twitchy enough for slot and more suited to boundary. But Taron is a beast on the LOS and in coverage. Worth a look.
  8. I'll buy that argument if he actually catches more than 50% of his targets.
  9. I think we disagree. If you devalue special teams it's all over the board. If your kickoff coverage sucks so will your punt coverage. Muffed punts and muffed Kickoffs can be game changes. Weather plays hugely into this equation, you're not going to kick/punt out of the endzone everytime. Giving them the ball with a quarter of the field every time is too much advantage.
  10. Yeah. Talk to the Bengals about the importance punt return coverage and get back to me.
  11. He's not irreplaceable. But in the current D Frazier runs he's a key piece. When he's gone they will have to change up and I am happy for it.
  12. Never said that. He is under utilized. I think he would have far more production in a different scheme. So for me, I think he's trajectory could be far above average if targeted more. If he saw as many targets as Gabe did I think he'd have a hell of a lot higher catch rate than Davis did. To your point, in pure production, it is average. I just feel there's a lot more there.
  13. Dabol never schemed TE's or RBs as well. He should be a feature in this offense.
  14. Short story is Edmunds is key to the McD/Frazier defense. The FO failed in getting a good DL to get the 4 man rush needed to sustain that D. Losing Edmunds means changing up the defensive scheme. I don't think Frazier has the will or the chops to do it. Maybe that's why they brought in Holcomb.
  15. Few DEs do it alone. We got zero pressure from the interior line and other DE. Rousseau has lots upside but can't do it alone. Bashem and Epenesa are back ups. Oliver would be effective playing next to Ted Washington in his prime, but average otherwise. Rousseau is the last of our issues on the DL.
  16. That's on the OC and not the player. They don't scheme for him now and much of the time he has to stay in and block because our OL sucks.
  17. Hmmm, build a bully, get some snacks and get fired.
  18. Yolo is a class poster and we would like him back. Hope all is well with him.
  19. Let's draft a fast receiver early on and stop the retreads. Need young bloods on rookie deals. How Billsy would it be to sign OBJ, have him ready by about November only to get injured for the playoffs.
  20. Our OL hasn't "gelled" because it's comprised of JAGs.
  21. We are, so let's stop pissing his prime away by not protecting him or by not scheming to keep him from playing superman every game. Coaches and FO decisions took 2 years off our SB window and other teams have caught up.
  22. I would have confirmed the OP's rumor if I didn't have an important business meeting to attend.
  23. This. I see Groot as a Phil Hansen type who perfectly complemented Bruce. Great run stopper and edge setter who could also get sacks. Not elite but a solid piece of the D. My biggest disappointment is Ed Oliver. Precious top ten D pick that is just okay.
