I don't disagree, but the Fitz in the Pittsburgh game a few weeks ago looked a lot like the Fitz post ribs and OLine injuries. He's gotta show consistency for an entire season to convince the skeptics.

Right now he's closer to a bust than beast. But they see something in him and I hope they're right.

This is about where I am. Good take. The true crux of all of this analysis is: Do we have the Fitz of the first 6 games or the Fitz of the second half of the last season?

If you ever have played D on any level, you know JFH is dead nuts here. You pound the D with the run and there's not a lot in the tank to pass rush.

Agreed. Chan's system would do better to get the basics right first. Don't confuse complexity for productivity. The Steelers offense started moving when Ben called his own plays and executed them perfectly.

Our starters and second string when the starters were "gassed", just like we'll see in the regular season. We put on zero pressure on Ben when it mattered and he ate us alive. Make up any excuse you want but we needed a blitz as our front four couldn't do it alone. DC cot schooled.

Concerns? Yeah just a few: 1) Fitz. Looks like the same QB we saw the second half of last season. Inaccurate, confused by a 3-4 D, flustered when pressured. The difference between Fitz and a great QB like Big Ben is stark. 2) Our vaulted D line was simply not a factor on the last drive of the half. Wannstache was schooled by LeBeau. 3) Aaron Williams is not the answer at corner. Speed receivers will eat him alive. 4) Oline better learn to handle a blitz or Vince Young will be playing a plenty.

I have to agree. Our defense was handled on that drive. Big Ben at all day to throw and made the best of it. Our Dline got schooled and yes, beaten.
