  1. +1. Beat me to it. I'm with the OP.
  2. Whatever happens with the Bears, Cleveland, Jax and others, I feel great that the Bills for once are leading the pack. We had our pick of coordinators while other teams play catch up. Pettine would have been a hot commodity but we snapped him up. Kudos to RB for moving quickly and decisively to remake this team.
  3. You know, not a bad idea by the OP. Can the mods intervene and help figure this out?
  4. True, but this guy's D also beat the Cheatriots in the playoffs two years running. Short story, he knows what it takes to beat Brady because he's done it.
  5. C'mon Sully, give it a rest!
  6. That's the question indeed.
  7. I'd rather have Gentsler on in drive time afternoon so I could be spared Dope and Lapdog.
  8. You are quite right. But my point stands. RB is from Cuse and a big Orange backer. This still smacks of marketing and not the best football decision. Marrone was Curtis Modkins in NO under Payton. His Cuse work has been good, but it was in a pathetic conference. I dunno...I'm dissapointed. It may work ... guess I will focus on being happy today for having a NHL season and get some distance from the Bills for a bit.
  9. Dammit! It's a Brandon marketing choice and and an homage to his alma mater...not to mention a cost effective choice. Did the "no stone unturned" crew ask who the frick his DC and OC are gonna be? Shite...I'm trying to find a positive here and I can't. Can anyone talk me off the cliff?
  10. That's just crackerdogs. In 49 minutes? Fair point.
  11. Do they calculate "error" yards? The distance the ball travels without any hope of being caught? Fitz would be a leader there I think.
  12. ....and for punt catchers.
  13. I was just going to find a thread without Wiz or Chip Kelly mentioned in it. Wasn't having much luck. I think you're it.....so here I am. No to Chan...maybe to Lovie with Hue Jackson as OC.
  14. Again, I get your point(s) but I'm old school in the sense that I haven't seen systems win anything. Players do and I wonder if Kelly can coach to his player's talents and not jam them into a system. It's one thing to recruit the team you want in college and another to deal with the complexity of the NFL CBA and capology. I'd like to see more of Kelly before anointing him the future of the pro game.
  15. Ummm, okay. Gotta remember the statistical analysis delta between coaching prospects moving forward.
  16. I see your point, but my skepticism comes from watching Buffalo's unstoppable K-Gun grounded in 4 straight Superbowls by such tactics and by New England's unstoppable Brady express twice grounded by the Giants.
  17. What other than that offense distinguishes him as the latest, greatest offensive mastermind and new darling NFL coach prospect?
  18. Who really thinks that offense would fly in the NFL? DC's are going to figure it out and then what's Chip gonna do? Time of possession is ridiculously one sided. Play smash mouth and wear the D down to mush in the second half. It's fun to watch for sure for college ball.
  19. I'm watching the fiesta bowl! I don't like what I see! The K State defense has this gimmick offense figured out and the time of possession is ridiculous. NFL DC's will eat old Chip alive.
  20. How many pro games had "Chip" won? Lovie would be a huge upgrade for us and he got my vote.
  21. I like Lovie Smith a great deal. As I said in another thread, I am wary of another helping of the Tampon Two D. Small fast guys who get pushed all over the field in the 4th quarter.
  22. Mixed mind here....on the one hand our team does not need blowing up. There's some damn good players in the trenches and in the backfield. But as good as Buddy has been on FA, resigning our players and some draft picks, he has whiffed on QB's consistently. RB is a young guy seemingly with an open mind and talks accountability. All we will an do is see what the FO does in the coming weeks. I'm not ready to bless or blast the plan.
  23. I like the idea of Lovie Smith as HC, but I fear the return of the Tampon Two D. No more smaller, faster guys who get blown off the line in the 4th quarter.
