  1. Damn. That’s impressive.
  2. We have the luxury of some vets to allow for that. Getting younger and faster in the secondary is a smart move. It's why I thought we bring him in and if he's better than Rapp, move somebody else.
  3. I agree their scheme allows for fewer elite athletes in the secondary to be effective. Last year was riddled with injuries but w/o a near elite pass rush, our secondary was sliced up by good QB's and Burrow in particular. Rapp looks like a more willing tackler but I'm still thinking Tyreek and speed guys will routinely burn him on YAC. We'll see.
  4. He's slow (4.77 40), the LA fan board regularly took him to task for being out of position in coverage and lacking recovery speed. Then again, those are fans and in McD's system he could be okay.
  5. If he's better in coverage than Rapp, I'd get him and move Rapp. Rapp is a box safety only.
  6. I skew older and at any age your post is asinine.
  7. This. JK's OL was head and shoulders over what we have now. No denying that Thurman was a stud, but left to right, JK's OL was clearly superior.
  8. Just need to see a D that doesn’t puke up 65 yards in 13 seconds.
  9. London was short, but 242 pounds. 225 is big safety size.
  10. Yoda's quote means who cares what they tried or didn't try? It's not getting done. Another early exit this year and nobody will give a damn about how hard they tried.
  11. Is is looking that way. But repeating what hasn't worked so far seems a strange strategy. McBeane has to have another wrinkle to come.
  12. He was a lot like Meatball. A bit taller but light for a DT - 275 or so. But he had the requisite lunch box and motor. Played hard. RIP.
  13. Can't say I disagree. Only McBean can get us over the hump and they need to do better than years past to do so.
  14. Solid, but I'm not a fan of Overshown. Too small. Our DT's can't keep our LBs clean.
  15. Gonna find out soon. I'm hoping McD can scheme to stop a team going 65 yards in 13 seconds.
  16. Maybe we're getting a bum Rapp?
  17. Born and raised in B-lo and now in Rochester. Old but not cootish, and want to see a championship in B-lo before some Gen Z is feeding me oatmeal at the home.
  18. Been following the team since 1963. I'm ready for the destination.
  19. I think it's time to move on. He's not producing $11 mil worth and will be gone next year with no compensation in FA. He did play 62% of the snap counts, which I think is the most by our DL. So, to your point, it would be good to have a replacement lined up, but I still think the time to move on him is now.
  20. I see both sides of this. Last year, when we really needed a play and Diggs was doubled, nobody could seem to get separation and get open. My opinion is it's both on Dorsey and our #2&3 receivers. Dorsey had little care of situational football awareness when dialing up a bomb on a 3rd and 2 on a crucial ball control drive. Davis caught only 50% of his targets and Knox was kept in to chip or outright block as our RT is dreadful. So we signed some speed, but it's only potential. How good would it be to have a real proven #2 to give Josh another quality option? And if not now, when?
  21. Phenomenal in the regular season, so we make the playoffs and get bounced in our window and Josh's prime. We won't get over the hump signing average players.
  22. Methinks Beane is in love with Brown's athletism and he ain't going anywhere. He's betting on Brown being healthy and taking a step next season. I am not as optimistic.
  23. Have to agree with some of this. He's a great player. But a team has to build an entire offense around his skill set and hope his legs hold up, which has been an issue. It's too big a chance to take on a 100% guaranteed contract.
