  1. Even though he's 94 I'm stunned. The city and we fans owe him so very much.
  2. If EJ gets faster eyes, trusts his receivers and throws before the break we will have our guy at long last. If not we'll all be talking about Winston next March.
  3. I agree with bbfergy. I think we are doing the signings that are driving the bus for once. That said I wouldn't mind Britt in the fold.
  4. I think we all get that point WEO. Rookie QB and OC = growing pains. We need to see a a full season and improvements from both. Focusing on the FA moves however, I'm thinking the FO finally has a clue. My post wasn't targeted at you btw.
  5. The thing you gotta know about TBD is some folks just aren't happy unless they can crap on something. I enjoyed the OP's offering and much of the convo until the little clouds that cry appeared. Given this thread and the other good one on sorting out the truth of our OL, I'm feeling better about Williams.
  6. Allen - Dareus and the Williams boys.....yeah it sure is tempting.
  7. I cannot see taking a RT with a top ten pick! That's just crackerdogs. We have a soon to be elite LT. Pick up a RT starter in the 2nd or 3rd round. Let's get an impact player in the first round - a big WR, TE, DE or LB. If not do as the OP suggest and try to trade down.
  8. Damn, I meant to source it. It's become public domain! :-)
  9. If he was the last link needed for a big playoff run I would say Hell yeah. But we're not that team yet. Better to build with the draft or younger FA's. Pass.
  10. I'm not sold on our "value" LG we picked up in FA, although it would be difficult to be worse than what we had. I hope we don't burn a first round pick on a RT but we need to get a starter or potential starters for the OL in the middle rounds of the draft. Even as we stand now we are better than Miami's OL.
  11. Yes and no. Yes because he hasn't had much production for us and no because for some GM's, that kind of speed seems to be enough to do a deal for.
  12. They wanted him to restructure his contract.
  13. You are likely correct. As it stands now I don't see anything different in our front 7 that would lead me to believe we're going to stop the run any better than last year. Moving Kiko to will is a first step but that hole in the middle seems huge to me.
  14. Hey jboys. I dont share your love of the brittle Mr. Poz, but appreciate your takes on D strategy. So I am torn on FA Spikes. On the one hand he is a tough, punishing run stopper in the middle. On the other hand he can't cover for squat. I noticed that a lot of people passed on the Patriots when he was in the game. I'm wondering if that would be the case here or would he be the answer to shoring up our run defense?
  15. He'd be a perfect backup. It would be a good signing.
  16. The dangers of tapping the post icon twice on this @$!&! Galaxy S3.
  17. Its a good signing. he was our leading receiver. It will be interesting to see what Moeki and Gragg do this year. who cares if its TE by committee, as long as they get the job done.
  18. The Pats are having a excellent FA? They lost Spikes and Talib and dropped $12 mil on Revis? Revis < Talib. That's excellent? Please. .
  19. It's nice that they're beefing up their defense. But their offense flat out sucked against Seattle. They should be beefing up the OL.
  20. I trust Polian more than CBS. But he does have some of the bigger name free agents rated well below Williams.
  21. it makes no sense to diminish Byrds talent or his impact on the team. How you feel about the whole thing comes down to a simple question; do you think he's worth nine million dollars a year? I don't. I think the money is better spent elsewhere and AW will fill in just fine.
  22. Maybe from Ginsburg or other beat poet. Read it while snapping your fingers...it flows man.
