    Under Pettine, your D will be a beast. No clue on the offense. I was underwhelmed with his choice of OC but my guess is he wants a competitive and effective offense and a killer D ala the Seahawks. Not a bad recipe. BTW we're fine with fans of the Brownies - you are us.

    How about TBD trading trade-down threads with other team's fan boards? We can come up with a formula - say our 9 pick would be worth maybe two threads from another board whose team has the 14th pick. Might make it easier to endure the long month of speculation ahead.

    You could follow the Brownies then. They got your man-crush coach. For as much improvement as the D made last year they still couldn't get off the field when it mattered. 3rd and 17? No problem, they'd give it up. The D would have changed anyway. They just gave up too much in the run game.

    I agree with bbfergy. I think we are doing the signings that are driving the bus for once. That said I wouldn't mind Britt in the fold.

    I think we all get that point WEO. Rookie QB and OC = growing pains. We need to see a a full season and improvements from both. Focusing on the FA moves however, I'm thinking the FO finally has a clue. My post wasn't targeted at you btw.

    The thing you gotta know about TBD is some folks just aren't happy unless they can crap on something. I enjoyed the OP's offering and much of the convo until the little clouds that cry appeared. Given this thread and the other good one on sorting out the truth of our OL, I'm feeling better about Williams.

    I cannot see taking a RT with a top ten pick! That's just crackerdogs. We have a soon to be elite LT. Pick up a RT starter in the 2nd or 3rd round. Let's get an impact player in the first round - a big WR, TE, DE or LB. If not do as the OP suggest and try to trade down.

    If he was the last link needed for a big playoff run I would say Hell yeah. But we're not that team yet. Better to build with the draft or younger FA's. Pass.

    I'm not sold on our "value" LG we picked up in FA, although it would be difficult to be worse than what we had. I hope we don't burn a first round pick on a RT but we need to get a starter or potential starters for the OL in the middle rounds of the draft. Even as we stand now we are better than Miami's OL.

    Yes and no. Yes because he hasn't had much production for us and no because for some GM's, that kind of speed seems to be enough to do a deal for.
