Meh. Not if it's to get Watkins, a small receiver that "plays big." Let's get a big receiver or pick up some more bodies in this "deep" draft. If there's another Cordy or Kiko in round two I don't care to give the pick away.
But for the rook pick he threw in the end zone, Tuel looked pretty good in his one start. The Bills have gone to considerable lengths to protect him. I look forward to seeing what year two looks like from him. That said, don't need to read off season stories about him.
Notch below Pitt, Jints and Carolina due to QB. Equal rosters perhaps but QBs a difference maker. And with Pitt and NYG, winning traditions are relevant. But overall I tend to think you're closer to the truth than the bogus expert.
For my second wedding, my best man urged me to videotape the ceremony so years later I could play it backwards and it would have a happy ending....
That's a strategy I could have used for several Bill's drafts. Congrats to mrags, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be wondering about the draft during the festivities.
We have two big holes on the OL, so-so TE's. And old RB and another scat back on a contract year. We need a OLB and a DE and quite possibly a safety. We can shore up many of those with a good draft without giving up high picks for a position that we may need just fine at. Watkins is a great open field yac guy. What we need is a guy who can catch when covered. I'd rather have Evans or ASJ as another weapon for EJ and keep out picks for the OL, et al.
Maybe...but he's not worth giving up a 2nd or a 3rd to get. Luck, Clowney, maybe. Watkins, I don't see it. He's an NFL ready receiver..so? To move up I want a once in a generation receiver. Sell me on that.
I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows.....you bastards!*
* I apologize for this ornery display. It's been a tough couple of threads....
That's college. Mayhem Maybin was a beast as well until a real NFL OT got a hold of him. Barr may grow into a good pro but he's a project and one trick pony right now. Can't see burning a top ten pick on a project. As I said, maybe as a 34 OLB but certainly not a 43 DE.
