Well, Hairston is looking good at least. Hey, let's tuck this article away and see if it holds water. I put some stick in such things but this analysis seems a bit of a reach.
If Thad protects the ball better, he will be a good back up. He played well for an inexperienced kid who was a late addition last year. Should make a step forward this year with a year behind him along with the same coaches and playbook.
We may also have some cap space created if there are more trades. DW has shown he's not shy about moving anyone if the return is right. Also it's good to be focusing on one need instead 5 or 6 needs!
Good give and take. Howard and Jeremy pushed him on Stevie and Byrd. But Doug's the deal. Seems confident. He also seems like a guy that will pull the trigger on those who don't measure up...hope Marone was listening.
In today's NFL that's average. Big, tall and fast is how things are going with receivers and TE's. That's why I covered Evans, Niklas, etc. But we'll see how it goes with our wideouts and if our TE by committee works out. Hope so!
Sure handed Scott? Yeah he strikes fear in opposing DC's. If you realky don't think we could use an upgrade at TE well then we're just not going to agree. As it stands now we have a bevy of smaller fast receivers and the one big guy we have is far from automatic.
You will see plenty of 3-4 alignments this year. So Preston will be helpful. But I have to agree with you on your point about other talent on the board that could have started or made a bigger impact this year that Preston will have. I still don't see that we have a red zone threat and some were on the board.
Nice work DWC. Looks like there will be no TE in this draft for us regrettably. I'm fine with stocking O line instead of reaching for a need. We should grab a CB and RB.
So we set Woods back and stunt his growth by not playing him as a starter? Not going to happen. Someone's gotta sit and it won't be Woods. Stevie is not the FO's guy and his cap hit will make it easier to move. I like Stevie and want him on the team but it's not looking that way.
