  1. You just knew clicking the thread title would amount to squat. Did it anyway like a dummass.
  2. Makes sense to PS him. Orton's not going to learn the playbook in a week. Stupid to wait this long but at least they finally acted on it. Now it's back to the EJ watch. Really?
  3. "A good soldier bitches." General George Patton
  4. Waiting for the EJ apologists in 3-2-1....
  5. Homey and No Saint are right. With all the injuries and uncertainty the offense faced last year, the OC did not adapt. He just lamely ran his break neck speed offense without sufficient personnel. Again, Hell bent on running his offense without regard for the players he had to work with and in turn put the D in untenable situations. Pettine on the other hand played to the strength oh his players.
  6. I don't hate any coach, but I don't have much faith in Hackett. His hurry up and punt offense is frustrating to watch. To me he seems Hell bent on running his system without regard instead of playing to the strengh of the players he has. Hence the lack of impact from CJ and the inability to pick up a yard when needed. We'll see and judge in a few months from now. I hope he proves me wrong.
  7. If I had to dream up the scenario I agree with dpberr, it's about boy wonder Nate.
  8. Modrak's departure is addition by subtraction. No need to beat him up but it's good to move on.
  9. Underwhelming. The HC, OC, and QB coach can work with EJ. We need a competent veteran back up. What the Hell doesn't the FO get about this?
  10. Alex Tanney. He likely has more tricks up his sleeve! Stand by, the list is about to change drastically.
  11. Some of that over-paying is likely a "Buffalo" fee for either playing in a small market or for a losing franchise. So I get that. Hopefully the new owner has the right people in place to end our history of missteps. Whaley may be the guy, although the Chris Williams contract looks mighty suspect.
  12. I get it. The dead money has been managed in a way as to not affect our ability to sign players, etc within the cap structure. My point is $23 million in wasted money is brushed off as an accounting exercise as if there are no consequences. Money is fungible and there are other places the team could have used it. We talk about $23 mil like it was lunch money. Whatever, I get it.
  13. Hell, Marian Berry got elected again, why not a second chance for Ritchie? Bet he's an upgrade over our guards.
  14. Gosh you're right. $23 mil in dead money means nothing and it couldn't have gone to any good use, like say, using it for future contracts. Money is fungible, unless it's spent - in this case on bad contracts. Your knowledge of football financial gymnastics is considerable and you should certainly feel smug about it. You have a fine future in Government finances and can explain why increasing spending is actually a budget cut. At the end of the day it's $23 mil spent on nothing that could have been spent on something else.
  15. An anomaly. Green Bay is colder and far more remote than B'lo. Besides, the percentage is fairly meager. Just win.
  16. Give him a break! It's hard to win the big game when you don't know the other team's plays and coverages ahead of time!
  17. Just win. All this ancillary crap goes away.
  18. Well if the answer is the present regime we'll know by December.
  19. Oh, you mean resign or extend them before FA beckons them? Wouldn't want to that. Let's pay more for them at the last minute or lose them altogether.
  20. Resign Dareus, Spiller, Cordy, etc.
  21. He's had a few Deep targets but dismal completions. After that mess, year, throw it in the clouds 2 outta 3 times and let MW and Sammy contest them.
  22. Seantrel is a rook. He'll be fine as the year progresses. Can't say that about Pears.
  23. Well, not much else he could have said but that he sucked, the line sucked and his coaches sucked. So I guess the alternative is to put some lipstick on the pig and babble like that.
  24. Well he walks away $3.1 to the good but he's walking away from $9 mil for playing a game for a couple more years. Sh#t for brains.
  25. There's nothing to do but wait for opening day against the Bears. If we're down 24-zip at halftime, there will be nothing left to hide behind.
