  1. SB Nation is reporting that Orton is the highest paid back-up in the league. https://sports.yahoo.com/news/kyle-orton-contract-numbers-tops-133140474.html
  2. Not feeling it, I hope I'm wrong.
  3. He did fine, thank you, behind an even crappier line under Chan. They don't know how to use him. He's better off someplace that does.
  4. I miss classic football names like Jubilee Dunbar.
  5. I don't wonder at all about it. Just win and all is well.
  6. Well, we can spend our lives looking backwards or forward. At least they've acted on fixing some of the mess they made or had made for them.
  7. Well, in a contest of big, strong bad boy receivers, I'll take MW over Rogers.
  8. I'm not actually that far from where you are on this. But I can certainly understand other's concern. It was disturbing to see the confusion on assignments, poor run blocking and difficulties with speed rushers. But they are big boys and we need to see a few real games before hitting the panic button.
  9. He be good for analysis of 1980's - early 90's'- classic games. That's his era.
  10. Let me call Marshall Faulk and see if he got any yards catching the ball. Maybe Thurman will weigh in on sending a 200 pounder in the middle of the line ad infinitum.
  11. I know you like to point out other poster's over embellishments and logic excesses, but I am curious, how would you rate our guard play so far?
  12. He's a role player because they don't know how to use him.
  13. You just knew clicking the thread title would amount to squat. Did it anyway like a dummass.
  14. Makes sense to PS him. Orton's not going to learn the playbook in a week. Stupid to wait this long but at least they finally acted on it. Now it's back to the EJ watch. Really?
  15. "A good soldier bitches." General George Patton
  16. Waiting for the EJ apologists in 3-2-1....
  17. Homey and No Saint are right. With all the injuries and uncertainty the offense faced last year, the OC did not adapt. He just lamely ran his break neck speed offense without sufficient personnel. Again, Hell bent on running his offense without regard for the players he had to work with and in turn put the D in untenable situations. Pettine on the other hand played to the strength oh his players.
  18. I don't hate any coach, but I don't have much faith in Hackett. His hurry up and punt offense is frustrating to watch. To me he seems Hell bent on running his system without regard instead of playing to the strengh of the players he has. Hence the lack of impact from CJ and the inability to pick up a yard when needed. We'll see and judge in a few months from now. I hope he proves me wrong.
  19. If I had to dream up the scenario I agree with dpberr, it's about boy wonder Nate.
  20. Modrak's departure is addition by subtraction. No need to beat him up but it's good to move on.
  21. Underwhelming. The HC, OC, and QB coach can work with EJ. We need a competent veteran back up. What the Hell doesn't the FO get about this?
  22. Alex Tanney. He likely has more tricks up his sleeve! Stand by, the list is about to change drastically.
  23. Some of that over-paying is likely a "Buffalo" fee for either playing in a small market or for a losing franchise. So I get that. Hopefully the new owner has the right people in place to end our history of missteps. Whaley may be the guy, although the Chris Williams contract looks mighty suspect.
  24. I get it. The dead money has been managed in a way as to not affect our ability to sign players, etc within the cap structure. My point is $23 million in wasted money is brushed off as an accounting exercise as if there are no consequences. Money is fungible and there are other places the team could have used it. We talk about $23 mil like it was lunch money. Whatever, I get it.
  25. Hell, Marian Berry got elected again, why not a second chance for Ritchie? Bet he's an upgrade over our guards.
