    Some of those owners in Washington are also defacto GMs. The Shanny situation is an example of a dysfunctional system. I prefer a HC answering to the GM but with contact with the owner. Otherwise there's a automatic power struggle.

    That's a bad omen. Automatic power struggle. Particularly with a guy like Shanahan. You got to be wary about him after that spectacular flame out in Washington.

    We have have a promising and talented young GM. It's his time for him to be the bottom line and have control of football decisions. His moves to date have been more good than bad. And we still need to see Sammy and EJ fully play out. I'd rather have DW make the coaching call than a committee with individual agendas. If this is TP's plan, I'm good with it.
