  1. We're done with FAQB's. We'll draft one and let him and Tuel battle for #3. DW wants EJ and the starter will be the winner of the EJ/Cassel tussle. I am underwhelmed, but with what is available -- it is what it is. I'll feel better with some FA OL help.
  2. Hard to accept not having Bradham on the field for three downs. The guy was lights out last year.
  3. If that went down, I'd love to see the YouTube of our Eagles fan going off on that! I'm still laughing at the McCoy/Kiko trade rant.
  4. I think Doc has it right. Rex says I could live without the guy and DW works a deal, That's how it is supposed to work and I hope it continues. So now DW has to show some expertise and get us help on the OL.
  5. 33-38 as a starter is below mediocrity.
  6. You're right. Great math. You should be in government. Again, is all of this insurmountable? No. Is it a concern. Yes.
  7. Another cap thread? If you read the others you'd know that there is no issue whatsoever with our cap. We can spend with impunity and people who think otherwise are idiots. So says TSW.
  8. I agree that Joe B may not translate well to TV. His delivery is still halting and tentitive. Were I his News Director I'd tell him to stick to nouns and verbs and if he wants to use an adjective to call me at home. He's a hard worker though.
  9. Maybe read the post. We have lots of needs and people to sign - like Dareus - soon. Explain to me why there's no concern here?
  10. I like a lot of what he has done. I admit I'm truly dissappointed in Matt Cassel. Moore, Locker or even Sanchise is better than Cassel. What it means to me is that he's all in on EJ. He's not giving up on his 1st rounder.
  11. I just don't get the "cap space isn't and issue" crowd. Of course it's an issue. We need a OG, ROT and possibly a CB & LDE/LB. Then we have a significant core to sign next year. Is it undoable? No. But to shrug it off as not an issue is specious.
  12. This is the sad truth. After last year, if you told me our options at QB were EJ or Matt Cassel, I think I would have laughed at you.
  13. Crap! Anybody but Cassel. We destroyed him a few years back and he hasn't gotten any better. Is he 3rd string? Christ I hope this ain't it.
  14. Whatever the number is in year one, it's too high. If they can get it down some, the deal is fine. We'll get 2, maybe 3 years of a top back and they get anywhere from an injury prone but talented player to an all-pro backer for as long as his smaller frame can take the pounding.
  15. If we can renegotiate McCoy's cap hit, I can live with the deal.
  16. For a g*ddamn running back? This is just FN stupid! Christ I hope this aint so. As part of a McCoy and Foles package maybe, but straight up for a RB? I am not onboard!
  17. You can produce several of those surveys will show either Buffalo or Rochester or Syracuse switching positions but they're all very close. There's no victory in having everybody razor thin and in bad situations. The point is is that they were all in a bad way. Yet Buffalo got a billion dollars from the governor, Rochester and Syracuse didn't get squat. The reason for that is all you need is New York City and Buffalo to win a statewide election. So the rest of the state, Rochester and Syracuse and Binghamton, can all go to hell as far as they're concerned - and we are. And by the way, I live in the city so they're not irrelevant! And the metro area surrounding a failing city is bound to under perform and/or fail itself.
  18. Wrong, Rochester ranks worse than Buffalo in every poverty measure, graduation rates and crime metrics. You're living in the 70's.
  19. Rochester is far worse off than Buffalo and has been for years.
  20. Losr Jerry, maybe get Revis. Rex will ensure the D Line produces.
  21. He needs to sign/trade for Matt Moore, Locker or Cousins and grab one big time player (Revis or Iupati) and a few value signings at TE (Clay) on DL and OL. That's after re-signing Hughes. Draft a RB and a QB and call it an off-season success. Tall order, but doable.
  22. It is quoth. But that's his call. I like "quote the crow" myself.
  23. Been in the business myself, though news, not sports. TG is better suited for features. The Talley piece was terrific. But I'm glad he's off the Bills beat. A good reporter is skeptical, not cynical. TG was the latter and began a slide into the caustic. The BN should hire Fairburn out of Cuse. He's been a welcome addition, though I could do with a few less "five things you should know..." stories.
  24. No AP. They will pick up a solid downhill runner in the draft. Save the FA coin for a TE, Guard and QB.
