You can produce several of those surveys will show either Buffalo or Rochester or Syracuse switching positions but they're all very close. There's no victory in having everybody razor thin and in bad situations. The point is is that they were all in a bad way. Yet Buffalo got a billion dollars from the governor, Rochester and Syracuse didn't get squat. The reason for that is all you need is New York City and Buffalo to win a statewide election. So the rest of the state, Rochester and Syracuse and Binghamton, can all go to hell as far as they're concerned - and we are. And by the way, I live in the city so they're not irrelevant! And the metro area surrounding a failing city is bound to under perform and/or fail itself.
