  1. They had OL issues and Kaep regressed. Likely the Harbaugh/FO conflict and drama played into all of it as well.
  2. My wife asked why I was so cranked up today. I told about the voluntary workouts, new coach- early team activity opportunity. She says "so a bunch of players are coming in to lift weights and this motivates you to be online and listened to your radio app all day." She then reminded me of all the times I told her the team was on its way to great things and to then have the Bills crush our hearts and hopes. I then assured her this year was different. It is isn't it?
  3. Reading this thread would give a woodpecker a headache.
  4. I'm try to scare up enough guys to split the cost too. I'm pulling for Manny in a big way.
  5. I would hope. It's a luxury of riches. If we add a 5T guy does KW sit? I Think JBoyst's 3/3 description clears it up a bit. I just think I Hughes, Brown, Dareus, Bradham and Mario need to be on the field most of the time.
  6. I think Jboyst has a point about Spikes. We gave up beaucoup yards on the ground under Pettine and I don't want a return of that. I also struggle to see Jerry Hughes in this mix. A new 5 technique end means Hughes or Bradham may be off the field. They need to play. KW is great but he's not a 5 technique guy.
  7. Seen worse. Better than what they had by a long shot,
  8. We just need a QB that can hit a slant, lead a receiver and make more than just one progression. A little accuracy, quick read and delivery will make Roman's offense a powerhouse. Issue is can any of our QB's do it.
  9. OL. Just focus on OL.
  10. SJF, great set up and keep the fan base regional.
  11. My first take as well. Maybe that will change when he returns a few kicks for TD's or takes a dump off all the way. But I still fret about this OL. It doesn't look like a bully to me.
  12. I was for keeping Woods when keeping Woods wasn't cool.
  13. Not clear on the notion of trading Woods. He's young and improving and a great #2 reciever on a rookie contract. This could be his breakout year with all of the attention being likely focused on Sammy, Percy, Clay and Shady.
  14. Been following the team since 1963 and have seen all of our RB's. Here's my list. 1) OJ 2) Thurman 3) Cribbs 4) Cookie 5) Freddy 6) Tie: the troublesome trio - Bell, Henry, Lynch You could say all OJ could do is run, well all Rembrandt could do was paint. OJ could catch, in fact they wanted to make him a reciever his rookie year. But why bother throwing it to him when he shredded defenses as a runner?
  15. Don't forget that Clay and Percy can run out of the backfield. Shady and Fred are going to be passing targets as well. These are all versatile playmakers. It's going to be hard to keep them all happy, especially if we are not winning.
  16. EJ's faults may be correctible. Look for him to compete for the starting job. imo
  17. Why such extremism? I don't read where anyone hates EJ. Many says he sucks, and last year he did. His recievers did quit on him as he couldn't deliver an accurate pass, missed them consistently when they were open or nearly got them killed with bad ball placement. He made poor decisions and wasn't, by his own admission, a leader. Saying that ain't hate. It may be fan rancor and harsh, but not hate. There are more than two camps (pro/anti) on EJ. I'm in the camp that believes people can improve and there's ready examples league-wide and right here in Buffalo. (see Jerry Hughes) So let's see what better coaches and a year to contemplate the nuances will do for him. That said, until he produces under fire, you have to consider Cassel the starter.
  18. This sums it up. If he has developed to the point where he can make a read, believe in his instincts and deliver an accurate ball, the sky's the limit. He just hasn't shown it yet and until he does I have to believe Cassel starts.
  19. Yup. That's what I meant but sucked at articulating. All true. If this year pans out this conversation will be more than moot.
  20. We'll see next year. If these signings pan out and we can sign our core guys next year - it's fine. If not, it's not. It's a bit of a concern as the history of teams that sign a lot of high priced talent in FA usually doesn't pan out. But with this coaching staff and FO, and a well thought out plan, this could be the exception!
  21. Maybe Pete Carroll should have looked at that chart before making the call he made last game.
  22. I will always begin each Bills game experience with a silent "thanks Mr. Wilson."
  23. This. He is motivating Brown to show up with a chip on his shoulder.
