Well there's got to be more to this than we know. He had a great preseason and picked up the blitz a lot better than Banyard. Something's up. Well at least Miller is starting and not Vlad-the-Bad.
+1. I just don't get this thinking that you have to burn it all down and start like an expansion team. McBeane is doing it right.
Because they didn't figure in the long term plan and had value now.
Puh-lease. He's gotta pick. Is he a NFL QB or Che Guevara. Who needs tbe sideshow. If that's racist, then so is Jim Brown who stated pretty much the same thing.
I share mot of the OP's feelings. I just dont get the Ducasse love; he's awful. Why don't they play Groy at RG? He's a mauler. Peterman's a rook and plays like one. But if he ends up starting I'm not wringing my hands. At least the D is looking good.
It's called building a team correctly. Not the yearly bandaid and hope method we"ve bedn subject to for 17 years. We weren't going to the playoffs this year anyway with Watkins. Let's see what the kids can do.
Add this to Yolo's response to our "vanilla" offense in the "What I Haven't Seen" thread and we have both sides of the ball covered in the yearly "why so basic in preseason" threads.
