Your Family Tree - Any younger football fans?
Green Lightning replied to GottaRun's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My nephew and niece, one's 27 one's 24, are huge Bills fans. It's great because we text back and forth during games as they are in different cities. We also keep in touch during the week to talk about the latest bills happenings. I feel lucky that have contact with my young nephew and niece in this manner so yeah it's a family tradition for us. I also have a step nephew, I guess that's what you would call him, he is a huge Bills fans and part of the text Circle. -
Marshall Faulk, 2 others suspended from NFL Network.

The bathroom take is hilarious but spot on to boot. Let's have no rules, just consequences. That said, some of these accusations, if true, are unforgivable. What's being lost here is due process. Each case deserves to be handled on it's own facts and lumped in as a whole. If guilty, you deserve what you get. You know VP Mike Pence said he's never had lunch alone with a woman that wasn't his wife. Social media mocked him but it seems like pretty sound advice to me. -
ESPN predicts Alex Smith as starting Bills QB in 2018.
Green Lightning replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure what what reality you exist in. Smith is a system QB who does what is called for to win. He's far more accurate than TT and doesn't need his receiver to have 4 yards separation before throwing. Smith gets rid of the ball faster than Brady while TT holds it the longest in the league. Plus Smith can hit a crossing pattern and is accurate in the short to mid passing game. Keep your stats, Smith is a decent starter while TT is a back up. -

Umm, they're not even in the same zip code. Alex will throw before the break with anticipation, averages more yards per game than TT has only matched once. Smith is a pocket passer and is accurate. Neither turns the ball over much but Smith is far and away a better qb than TT, particularly for this offense. -

That's just cracker dogs. -
Both Tre and Dion were outstanding picks. Gives me hope for this FO's ability to judge talent. Milano a nice late pick as well. Zay will be fine as well. Based on his performance this year, Tre would have been an outstanding pick with our first pick in the first w/o trading down. He's beyond mature for a rook.

I see them going after Alex Smith as a bridge QB, then draft one this year or next. Smith is solid in the pocket and we'd have a boatload of picks to shore up the rest of the holes in this team. We're not going to get the top 2 QBs and if we grab a Lamarr Jackson or a Mayfield, they'll need a few years to get ready. Seems like a plan to me.

And you a name calling intolerant alt-left hater who, like all the alt-left, stand for nothing live to rail against anything opposed to their political narrative. You and your ilk feel the need to shut down all discourse and all thought not complient with your cause of the week. I see you as I see Stalin. Tyranny on the left, a need to control others and actively seek to shut down free speech and thought, like we see in our socialist college campuses. Since you have no logic or underpinnings to your leftist agenda, your resort to name calling, ridicule, intimidation and volume. You're against everything and stand for nothing, such is the way of the brainwashed alt-left. You are an excellent example of this intolerant, hateful movement.

Yup, and it's a shame. I really like him as a player. We're a better team when he plays, he just can't stay on the field.
-
Wow, there's a Rachel Maddow take. Maybe you should try and stay stable instead of jumping to extremes. You can make a point without going bottle rocket on fan site. Sounds like you're a alt-left hater looking for a fight and making every opinion you don't like into some caricature because they don't share your narrative. I didn't agree with his take but not liking Cam does not warrent the volume of your political bile. This falls under "it ain't bragging if you can back it up." I thought it was great. You can't be a star QB and not be pretty damn smart. That was a beautiful play and well played by Cam. I haven't been a big fan of his after that miserable SB performance and odd press conferences, but he's been very good this year.

Zay Jones right now is a bust

This thread is BS. We target our wideouts ridiculously few times. He's a rook and was injured. He's going to be fine. -

Snarky writing style but solid analysis. This team needs a major talent infusion. To that end one source of hope are the picks we've stockpiled. We have 7 games to see how drastically we need a qb. Then I hope they address the OL, DTs and LBs. -
What a bunch of crap. Film doesn't lie. TT failed to pull the trigger on open receivers time and time again because he simply can't anticipate a break. He holds the ball longer than any QB on the league. DC's figured him out. Shut the run, keep him in the pocket and it's game over. We'd finish 7 - 9, or possibly 8 - 8 with him the rest of the way. Time for a change.

Is this the most drama-filled Bills season ever?
Green Lightning replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Living through Lou Saban quitting, a year of Hank Bullough, trading Lamonica, Harvey Johnson, Flutie-Johnson and couple of 2-12 seasons, no, but it has been right up there. -
Never have been impressed by Luck. Let's play a few games and see what we have in NP.
